Try one if you can.... the ingredients are very simple.... mostly water, with some flavoring via juice...

Shannon (the child) was allowed back to work today. She is still coughing horriblely and sleeping a lot. "mucus" and all is still clear, so am sure it is just a wicked cold.

DS went back to school, and actually called for a few minutes today. He has been busy and was going to a "game" party in the downstairs game room....they were getting the Sabres Hockey game on and they all pitched in for pizza. He is NOT a sports kid (to sit and watch) so was happy he was getting invovled. He is not coming home this weekend...another good thing.

I ended up shipping his shoes up to him, along with boxes of tea and his much and some valentine candy. He has Judo classes and needed his shoes for the workouts....they do running to warm up besides the exercises.

Mary I have a frozen like slushy juice...no sugar added. It is all fresh fruits blended together and in "tubes". I wonder if that is similar. Will have to check tomorrow.

I think I am taking myself to Rochester if i get a good nights sleep. They are having PResidents day sales and I have not yet been able to find some sneakers I desperately need...and ones I like!

Mary I was thinking about you tonight. DH likes to watch Sons of Guns on the Discovery channel and the show is from Baton Rouge. The gun shop is called The Red Jacket. The did a sweeping aerial shot of the city tonight and there I was like a fool wondering where your house was located. lol

Crissy your situation with your friend who thinks you shouldn''t interact with other guys when you are out reminded me of something my dad said to me when I was a teen. We were at the beach and my dad said to my sweet BF 'look at that gal, nice eh?' A tad hurt I quickly said something to my dad and he explained to me that it is fine to look you just never touch or get yourself into a compromising position with a gal other than your own sweetie. He explained if you can't look ya might as well be dead - and ya know he was so right. There is talking up someone and joking around and then there is talking up someone and joking around with them. I understood exactly what he was saying and I must say over the years I have had to remind myself of this when the green eyed monster starts to emerge.

Did all my chores, omg almost passed out when I saw the dirt/grime ontop of the refrigerator...my being a tad under 5' put me eye level to freezer door, how embarrassing ..wonder how many people, like my sons/grandchildren who are nearer over the 6' mark have thought ewwwww so this weekend I will get my step ladder out and oversee everything at top level and clean...had it not been for Greg asking to borrow my dehydrator as his wouldn't accommodate all the beef and my not finding instruction manual I'd never have known how dirty it was...

Got a fright this morning, pop up that I've never seen came on screen..didn't want to touch it, bit of problem opening outlook for my work calendar, played a bit and finally it came on..even though I picked laptop up it has to be put in sinc with office info which computer shop doesn't have so it's not operational..love these computers but wow, costly and aggravating when they do not work..

Judy LMAO!!!! Deli dude is long gone, he closed it November 11th and I haven't heard from him since, On November 16th he said he was going to call me when he had a minute to chat and wanted to tell me what all he's thinking of doing and valued my opinion since we're mental twins, I said ok I'm here whenever you want to talk, and he's never called or text, so whatever. I found out through Google that he owes back city, county, and state taxes, like $4000 total, on that deli so I'm thinking he's home sulking. He told me in August he was going to close it and it turns out that I am the only person that he told, he didn't even tell his wife.

Yes about the card! That tells me he gets it in a very large way.

I am here too. Just had a ride around the block in my daughter's new car. 2012 Ford Fusion.. She is on top of the world right now. First time ever having a brand new car!!! She works hard so it is gratifying to see her so happy.
Had a fun day with Norm at the doctor. I guess he has strained his knee and is now in a brace for two weeks. She will call with Xray results. He is a hurting puppy so I hope the med she ordered for him works quickly. Now to just get him to rest like she wants him to do!!! Yes, he is one of those that tries to keep going no matter what. I have permission to get on his case if need be!!! I just love his Doc......
I finished my jelly jar wall hanging and it is up on the wall now!! I'll try for a picture tomorrow. Now I'm working on an applique for the front door that says SPRING!!!!
We are suppoosed to go to Brandon's horseback riding banquet tomorrow night and I'm hoping Norm feels well enough to go.. I must admit, I've been in the house so much I'm really looking forward to going and talking with others I haven't seen for a while.

Mardi Gras weekend ya'll ! Thank goodness our parade was moved to 3:30p due to inclement weather tomorrow... I can sleep in ! Whole family is supposed to go, DS GF too (she has become family). DSD1 is coming in from College for the 4 day weekend....all the kids have no school Monday/Tuesday for Mardi Gras. I have to work....

Mary, I think they go to school....and are on their own. AND suddenly they hear the horror stories of other kids, and are finally thankful for the way they were raised and what they have. It takes awhile...but it is something when it finally clicks!
That is such great news, and on the FB comments and all too! I am sure you are looking forward to the family time and vacations.

I have been busy doing a lot of "nothing" as all the running I didn't get much done. DH took me to dinner tonight and we went to a little store that has meant so much to me during my life.....and it is going out of business. My older girls told me last weekend, and they were near tears....lots of "grandma/mom" memories there. So we went and picked up a few little ornaments. I fought off tears while there. I have a necklace my "boy friend" gave me when I was 17..moving to DC from there, many ornaments and gifts from my Mom...stuffed animals I saved for for my girls. Just lots of family memories. AND....I think with the "empty nest" thing going on, and so many many changes...this one more ...just has hit me very hard this last week. Gone from a house busting at the seams with our "family of six" and all their friends.....to just DH and I. AND Dh is never home til late afternoon, early evening.

I know...its life...baby steps. Will find out on Tuesday if I can think about a job yet or not. Sigh.

Maybe being on their own such a Huge responsibility they start realizing how much we have protected them...

I remember dreading vacations because DSD's would always be negative, say hurtful things... etc... I'm REALLY looking forward to May... I think we will have a blast... for the first time....

We have the "Birthday Day" at MIL's house this Sunday....... celebrating both nieces..... Jan/Feb bdays..... It will be nice to get everyone back together.....

No birthdays until March 18 & 24th.....Which is SIL & DS on 24th. Easter might bring them around, but do know Carrie & Hubby are going away soon for a business type issue/seminar turning to small vacation.

The store was in business for 77 years. It was origanally called Love of Pete Gift Box, then changed name to Petersons Drugstore & Love of Pete.... and had a pharmacy in it in the back. I had my first job interview ever there, shaking in my shoes! Just a lot of history and memories for the entire town, not just us. They had the old candy there also you could get.

Well, need to go to bed. I am falling asleep here. DD The child...has broken her "nose ring" off in her nose and can't get it out. It is the post kind. This is the second time...do you think she will learn? NOPE!

Mary, the girls didn't learn in high school because that was there friends....that knew you also..and they all knew each other. It was just teenage whining. Now, these new kids... This is strangers now telling them....so they get a different perspective.

Good morning Dianne, I'm up. Been sittin' and sewin' while i watched the morning's news. Easy day for us today as Norm has to stay put. Twisted his knee and has to wear a brace for two weeks and rest this weekend. Telling Norm he HAS to rest is horrible but I have his docs permission to remind him often!!!!!
Hopefully going to our grandson's horseshow banquet tonight. We will see how Norm feels. The med really works!!!! He takes it and within an hour he is asleep!!!

Dianne, I sure hope they have shoes. I have wider feet....just depends how they are made. They keep throwing new balance at me, and the last two pairs I had just were not comfortable and wore out very fast. I will check them all out. I want to go to the kitchen store that is there also.

We woke up to a very heavy snow, the pretty kind sticks to everything and you see in lots of photos! I want to go out with my camera so bad. Should have known it was coming as my squirrel was out stuffing himself for a good half hour with the fresh peanuts.

Barb, good luck tying Norm down. DH is the same way! He went to his physical last Tuesday, and doctor told him he didn't know which knee was worse...he would probably need both fixed this year! OMGosh! He is only 50....and already needs lube job on all four joints (knees & elbows).

LindaKay, those english muffins sound good! I have some fresh baked (yesterday) pecan stickey buns from Harpers Bazaar last night. They were still warm when we picked them up.....and smelled up the car so nice!LOL Surprised I left them til this morning.

Guess I better share my exciting news!!!! Bernie and I will be visiting Dianne and Santa Warren tomorrow!!!!!!!! It will be a fast Roadtrip (6 hours roundtrip) and the weather forecast is calling for sunny weather all day!!! I will give Dianne and Warren BIG hugs from each and everyone of you!!! I am giddy and excited like a little girl to finally meeting those two special people!!!! Will bring my camera and with Dianne's permission will post pictures when I get home!!!

Have been busy sewing and here are some of the things I made...working on an Easter Bunny Wall Hanging at the moment and will post that one once I am done
1. picture: This is the motivational Wall Hanging my Daughter, her BF and I worked on for my DD's GF who had a bad fall and broke her back...she is a marathon runner and she really liked it a lot and called me to tell me she hung it up in her room and it is the first thing she sees when she wakes up in the morning. She is on her way to a full recovery...but it will take time to fully heal.

Good luck with the shoe search Deb. It's not fun anymore is it? I have a very narrow heel and the ball of my foot is sooo much wider. I can find shoes that fit the ball of my foot but they all fall off the heel!!! The only brand I have found that will stay put is NewBalance.

Ok.....broke a tooth last week and had it pulled and meds for pain sent me for a loop. Never again.
Kids are out of school all next week for a break. I am going to take them to an indoor pool (county run) as a surprise.
Sleep Number bed has been ordered..........6 boxes total. 5 have arrived and still waiting on the last box so we can set-up.
I want everyone here to know that I am not always able to stop in but each and everyone of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Laura...can`t wait until I hear how you like the sleep number bed...been eyeing it as well. Hopefully it will help your back issues!! Hope you have lots of fun with the kids next week...the waterparc sure sounds like a lot of fun!! Hope all is ok now with your tooth issues and yep I hear you about some pain meds making you feel all weird...not a nice experience at all.
