Been keeping myself busy with sewing and puttering around at home...had my sleep study done and waiting for results and have an ENT appointment next month for my sinus/dizziness issues...got to love the $%!#@ waiting game to see specialist in Ontario.

Huge ray of sunshine on the horrizon for me is hopefully meeting two very special people this weekend!!! Praying hard that the weather will cooperate!!

Moon/Jean... (and all) my lovely little hairdresser in Galvez had put off my last appt. 'personal problems" she just texted me tonight and (she is pregnant) apparently the baby diagnosed with a fatal syndrome. Years ago (the only other appt she had cancelled ) she had a miscarriage so I was worried about something with the baby. She did finally have Kinley a little girl who is now 2. so sad....

all is pretty good here,, hubs went to dr. for post op and they were very happy with his condition.. he starts phys.therapy next week., they said lots of patients can not start therapy for 6 - 8 weeks after surgery !! I am sooo happy he is doing so well.

Drats! I almost called one of the local radio stations today to have a word or 2 - they were talking about a cocker spaniel from Brantford that made it to Best of Breed on his first try. No cell so I couldn't say "well if you think that is something you should be talking about Betty's sis and Innuk."

Need to get DH settled into bed. He has had a not so good day - had to go into Kingston for a Cscan late in the day and that is not his best time of the day that is for sure. Hopefully he will sleep well tonight.

aw, I'm feeling better, Mary - between getting that little book from my friend, to deciding on a story for Children's Time on Sunday (and a colouring page), PLUS getting another hundred books catalogued and listed (still have to create/print the cards for the catalogue and create/print the labels for the books), I'm feeling pretty productive and have "worked out" some of the frustrations of the day. It helps when my friends send me (((Hugs))) Mary.

Mine decided to Not let me open MS Outlook the other night cuz it said it was "already in use", so I "repaired" the file, and I'm back & running again. I think it had something to do with a little prog called WhiteSmoke which took over my browser and home/search page. Besides fixing my Outlook, I "killed" WhiteSmoke (aren't I the nasty one though?!?! LOL )

Yes, been a bit under the weather and am just laying low and resting when possible. Stomach had to get in on the fun.

Susan that is frustrating. My house that is 5 years old this month is having tile issues and upon further inspection we have to pull every inch of it up, it's not installed properly and now in certain areas when we walk on it it sounds like the tile is being pressed against sand. We have a cement slab foundation so shouldn't be having any problems. GGGRRRRRR

no wedding plans yet, butttttt he did buy her a ring!!! they are saying they are engaged..to be engaged :) ok by me if they slow it down a bit. would be good for him to concentrate on next phase of school. she is lovely, I like her a lot, they make a great couple, but I don't think they should get married quite yet, she goes into "panic mode" when she get nervous.....I think she probably had a very bad experience, with the father of her son. and commitment scares her.....the first time my son told her he loved her.....she broke it off with him....would not take his calls....silent treatment big time.....he was a mess, totally broken hearted....they did not speak for months, accidentally bumped into each other.....she called him the next day in tears, "why did I ever let you go??" it has been a roller coaster!!! He says they have that all worked out, and she now "knows he really does love her" she trusts that he is true, and she feels the same thing...

but I still have that nervous Momma thing going.....I do not want my son hurt !!!!

I had a minor meltdown yesterday. No "reason" just one of htose days. Luckily for Tony he had car problems and didn't make it to work. I stewed alone. Much better today. We are working on the new garden. Have beans coming up and a few marigolds. One beautiful bouganvilla which I planted several years ago.

One nice thing about the new garden is that the road goes right by it so I get to wave to evryone who passes. The rest of my property is very private so this makes a big increase in my socail contacts.

I picked a box of lemons for my friend Saul to sell in his store. I'm about the only person in the area who grows yellow lemons so his American customers usually buy them quite rapidly.

I, too, have the headache that seems to be going around. I'm hoping to leave tomorrow for San Diego. My doctor's appointment is on Monday. I like to be able to take my time on the road. We had a lot of rain about ten days ago which is a blessing here unless you are traveling. I'm praying it stays dry for my trip.

Wish I had a little more computer savy - I am just a dunce when it comes to this machine. I consider myself lucky to actaully get online and then manoveur to my email, DG, FB and some cooking sites. Our niece Steph is a computer whiz but she lives hours away from us. When she comes for a visit I almost barricade her in the computer room. Last time she was down she brought and hooked up her old X Box game for her Unc. What a sweetie! Nowif DH would only try and play with it.

His name is Aaron and he works here in the building for the Attorney General's Office as security and he's a State Special Investigator. Jean, how you describe yourself is exactly as I..not computer knowledgeable at all..have a son who is Vice President Marketing, designing programs for major firms around the world, gets annoyed when mom asks same question every time he visits, so much so that I brought my new laptop out to have repaired seeing as i got a virus last week..when he goes on and says 'but mom, I taught you that a million times' I just reply, 'must have been the 3 jobs I had to put you through your education to get you where you are that makes me not pick it up as other do' that puts a stop to his shinnanigans..lol

Few weeks ago bought 2 programs for the Wii - exercise but haven't even attempted to connect the wii..must wait for grandkids to come visit, less hastle than my doing it..

Had thought about going to Stained Glass Studio in Barrie to get some supplies but think I shall wait till tomorrow afternoon and support the studio up the concession from me..might be a few $$ more but not enough not to support them. Now that I decided NOT to use my lunch hour to do so might just go look in a few stores, maybe pick up lunch at the cafe, bring it upstairs and eat..late enough in the day NOT to be hungry and have to cook supper.

Funny you mention hooking up a Wii. I'm pretty good at figuring what plugins go into what ports on the tv, and had thought that I set it up right, until my IT boss came over to my house and showed me that I had the plugs plugged into the wrong ports. Heck white matched white, I just don't understand! LOL LOL

I got CHEWED OUT by my friend last night because I'm flirtatious and she informed me of how WRONG I am to talk and flirt with any man because I'm married, then she said that I shouldn't be doing that anyway because I'm almost 40. What does being 'almost 40' have to do with anything? LOL She told me that I'm clueless about men and have no idea how to handle myself and she's going to teach me. Then she said that she knows me so well, I about died laughing! What's even funnier is everyone here in the office know about this and they all know him, every one of them is telling me to go have a good time and don't worry about it, just don't do anything physical if he tries.

Oh yeah, her big thing is that I'm married and can't be doing that. I told her that if that's the case then I might as well be dead. She's not all that friendly of a person to begin with and I've seen her snub people, literally turn up her nose and look the opposite direction when someone was just being nice.

She's better now and I love her to death, she's been through the mill and back with the death of her husband when she was 29, she's 32 now, and I think it humbled her somewhat, but she's still private and standoffish sometimes.

Yes it will. Before Chris passed away we used to have to remind her to smile, she smiles all the time now and says she will never act like that again. Dave says she's just a hard headed child LOL!
WooHOOOO Betty! I took Tuesday off to be with Christy so we can take a day and discuss the going ons of our lives, so if we get President's Day on Monday off that will give me a 4 day weekend too!
