Luckily I never had that.
What's for dinner?
funny when it hits.. no warning.. just blam .. pain .. kind of feels like getting stabbed every step I take.. started that stuff in dancing school.. so since i was a kid.. had to throw in the towel during a walk a thon with my dad.. and of course he called me a wimp.. and I was just a young kid.. how embarrassing is that????
Mine wasn't instant like that, but they hurt and I ran anyway which just made them hurt for a couple weeks.
Lasagna for us and DS's family. Had our neighbor over also. Actually I took son's dish to their house.
well I guess the good thing is .. mine usually sticks around for a few days.. and then gone
LOVE lasagna.
I made ricottaless lasagna. Forgot to buy it but made it anyway.
today was national pancake day so guess what my daughter had for dinner?
nice!!!
French toast?
ahhhhh, no
DD played field hockey, cheerleader and ran track. She has shin splits bad too but would not stop. Finally in her Senior year of HS the doc pulled her out, had to scare the pants off her to do it though. He told her..." You know those back flips you do at half time across the gym floor in front of everyone? You have a REAL chance of landing just right and that puppy is going to snap right there in front of everyone." That mental imagine was enough to scare/stop her. :)
Had Chinese last night....it was terrible. My own fault as I didn't go to my usual place.
Going to have salmon tonight. What is your favorite way to fix it? I'm afraid to overdo it or destroy it somehow. Help, please
I just broil it with some creole seasoning, so good.
I bought an avocado to use on sandwiches, but then didn't, anyone make a salad with it?
Thank you, debi
With the avocado,i have just cut it up into a regular sale. It's not very exciting that way, but, if I don't use it for guacamole I don't know what to do with it either. ;)
avocado sliced on a turkey sandwich is super yummy!
I have a sauce I make when I make salmon...let me go get it....
Debi, I make a salad with avocado, fennel, radishes, & red onion....just use some white balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper....
My DH doesn't like salmon, so I top it with fresh ginger, orange juice, honey, brown sugar and soy sauce. The top gets a nice crust after I bake it and then give it a minute under the broiler. He likes it this way.
Hmmm... They sound good! Probably will just do It on a grill pan with a seasoned butter.
Jan, Brian smears dijon mustard and ground pepper on top of the salmon. He then wraps it in tin-foil and bakes it for 20 - 25 minutes. It's very tasty and moist. :)
bake at 400 for 20mins or broil about 6 mins each side
either way until it flakes nicely with fork
salmon sauce
1 tbls of onion sauteed in 2 tbls of butter till tender
stir in 2 tbls of flour
1 tsp of dill weed
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
gradually add 1 1/2 cup milk
cook 2 mins till thickened
just want soup tonight
Those sound good, too. Jury is out on how good it was. Jeff said he liked it, but I wasn't real happy. Maybe I'll try baking it next time. What temp, Pixie? Same as Jen's recipe?
Doing pasta with turkey sausage and spinach. Yum.
He said I forgot to tell you to put a squirt of Lemon Juice on the salmon too, and cook it at 350 for approx. 20 - 25 minutes.
I've never made salmon that wasn't good, but I also like it plain so that could be why.
Salmon on the grill is great!
Chicken parm
I like any fish on the grill, Jen. I am trying to find a fisherman who would sell me a large Striped Bass (my favorite), since only large ones can be legally fished for and the store bought, farm raised have no flavor. I dream about cooking one of these on the grill.
Rose, we fish for them in the tidal waters here from July 1st to Oct. 15th. When we do catch one my brother stuffs it and cooks it on the grill. I love fishing for them, they give a GREAT fight!!!
Definitely a difference between farm raised and wild caught, twice the $ but twice the flavor.
Fish for them, they cost $5 for the tidal water license good for the year. You get a nice boat ride and a great tan. ^_^
Priceless!!
OOOoooohh...............Please pack some in dry ice and send me the bill for the purchase and your time and trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like I can get some right in my own backyard!!!

I thought you could!! If you don't fish, go down and give your # to one of the fishermen, tell them you'll pay for fresh caught...im sure you can strike a deal. :)
Don't know what I'm cooking tonight, but NOT fish....having a crown put in this afternoon, will probably have to eat pasta, or something soft.....
You know how they put soy lecithin in EVERYTHING...used as an emulsifier, I know it's not good for you, very hard to avoid because it's in EVERYTHING!!!
This description of how it's processed makes me even more disgusted about it
"Soybean lecithin comes from sludge left after crude soy oil goes through a "degumming" process. It is a waste product containing solvents and pesticides and has a consistency ranging from a gummy fluid to a plastic solid"
I really am trying to get totally away from any processed food....will try making more things homemade
Isn't that just another form of MSG?
Ugh.
No it's not a flavor enhancer it is used to keep water and fats from separating
