Hate the Mets but I liked Gary Carter

Fisk was Bench's contemporary. Carter was after those two were past their prime.

Yeah - look at those stats! Pretty close and Fisk played WAY longer. By 1980, Fisk's best was behind him. Carter was in his prime then.

DGD is the one holding the trophy on the floor, second one in from the left. She and one other girl are the only 6 graders to be picked for the varsity team. The big trophy goes in the glass case at her school and her personel trophy has center place on the mantle over the fireplace in the family room. ^_^

congratulations to the girls. I still have my recreation dept. ping pong trophy. the paddle has broken off, but never mind my kids can throw it out. Girls didn't have sports like that very often in my youth. Certainly we didn't have uniforms, just gym
clothes that I won't even describe.
