Coffee is great, but Toffee is better! Toffee flavored coffee might be best!
Here's a few of my dad's paintings.
offee Break #73
Holy cow Harper they are beautiful! Love the blue butterflies.
Awesome Harper!
He is such a romantic. They are wonderful.
Wonderful Harper!!! Give him my congrats and praises please!!!
Wow - spectacular, Harp!
those are nice harper!
They are joyous pictures, Harper.... I love them!
very lovely!
WOW!!! Just read through the last thread to get caught up with all the doings since Jan 11 when I left. Many condolences, congratulations, and best wishes are in order. I sooo missed you all. Glad to be home.
Had a great time with my 85 yr old friend on the cruise. Perfect place for her- she couldn't get lost on the ship. Then spent another week in FL with her. I see Louise mentioned that we visited her, Hank, and the girls. That was a great visit. Looking forward to meeting many more of you in person.
that's so cool that you guys got to hang out!!.. glad you are home safe!
Welcome back, Jan! Dubious timing for a cruise.
I know. The captain of our ship was very careful to explain that wouldn't happen on his watch. I felt like a kid on this cruise. There were a few families and young couples, but I would say the average age of passenger on this cruise was 75.
Harper, your dad's paintings are wonderful!
Brother, sister in law & their son were on a cruise in the Carribean. Both 'boys' were careful not to mention the Italian disaster to her until the end & they were home.
I tried not to think of it, except to make sure I knew what to do in case of an emergency. Then on Sunday, I was very thankful not to be driving on 75 down in Florida.
Having trouble getting back in to the swing of things. Every time I look at DG another hour goes by. LOL. I did get shopping done and some laundry.
Glad you had a nice trip Jan, welcome back!
On the plus side, Jan, being a 'kid', you would be able to get to the lifeboats much faster than the 'mature' passengers! ;)
Wow - there is a report of a Los Angeles teacher abusing kids as young as six that is so disturbing I will no post. This guy just needs to be tortured asap.
Now they're into cinnamon?!!

Glad you're back & sounds like you had a wonderful time, Jan......Victor, a principal here in CT was suspended because she didn't do anything to stop some cinnamon swallowers in school.....can't believe how stupid some kids are!
that's not new either.. sorry Victor.. Opie & Anthony almost killed a guy like that
Yes - their stupidity and desire to find the next best thing to abuse never cease to amaze.
Really?!! First I heard of it. Funny how you know about all these things, Allison. ;)
twisted what can I tell you.. I sent an email with a video.. didn't want to post it here because of the bad language.. there are tons of them on youtube
Thanks everyone for the compliments on my dad's paintings. I'm proud of him.
Welcome back Jan!
I don't get the cinnamon thing. I didn't know it was a hazzard. I better stock up now before they ban it.
Only if you try to swallow a TBSP, Harper....remember, cinnamon is a ground up bark....very irritating in large quantities.....
Like children.
not just irritating.. it closes up your airways.. coats everything and doesn't come out easy
Oooh! Sounds so tempting. I ought to avoid it for I may become addicted... (not)
sure!!
Jo, I've been doing Weight Watchers. It works really well if you follow it correctly. You have so many choices of what to eat. If you can reduce portion sizes, you can do a lot that way, too. Incorporate more fresh fruits and veggies into your diet. Eat healthy and stay away from junk. The junk is what gets ya.
Harper, your father is a fantastic artist! I love his style. Very nice!
Victor, I read that article about that teacher in LA. You're right, very disturbing. Makes me sick.
Cinnamon challenge? What is the world coming to. It gets worse and worse. This is the first I'm hearing about it, too. Must have missed that episode with Opie and Anthony. Cinnamon is actually good for a lot of things: http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/10-health-benefits-of-cinnamon.html
On a much better note, welcome back, Jan! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Good for you.
I love this new Superbowl ad! http://youtu.be/7ecIhO7j0XA
Karen
I ate cinnamon toast when a kid. No problems, but 2 pieces of toast less than a teaspoon?
Welcome back Jan!!!
glad you had a great time jan and got to see louise and hank.
never heard of the cinnamon either - will have to ask the better half how much she puts on her toast.
Karen, that was a great add....loved the expressions on the dogs' faces!
Thanks everybody! It is GOOD to be home. LOL, Victor, the fastest get on the lifeboats first. Sometimes there were traffic jams with all the scooters and walkers. One lady we met was staying on board for 2 months. She said it was either that or get a condo in FL where she didn't know anybody and didn't drive. This way she gets to meet new people AND travel. Her daughter was on board with her for the first leg of her trip.
I love cinnamon, just not a tablespoon of it. Of course, I always mix it with something else. When my dad was little he said they smoked cattails.
People who abuse kids should be drawn and quartered.
Hope they wash!
