Just thinking a puppy in a crate with a young baby, the baby would get all the attention. Thinking a one on one she could be trained to go outside in no time?
Yes Mr would love to have a playmate. Sometimes he looks so bored.

having another house broke dog to teach her will help also
The owners probably just don't take her out enough now that they have the baby to attend to. Go get her, Sherrie and then take a picture of the two of them together.
Victor - thanks for posting that video.
Thanks Louise, I didn't think it would be this hard :(
I say go for it, Mr G would be a lucky guy! Molly is adorable!
That looks like my Bella!
Perhaps you can keep the dogs apart for a day if she comes to your house. She can make hubby clean up. Probably not out enough as they don't like to mess their beds.
Actually, they should meet at a neutral place the first time such as a dog park. Mr. G might not like sharing his territory until he gets to know the young lady a little better.
That was a smart cat on the video! Sherrie, Molly is such a pretty girl, & Mr. G probably misses his sister.....not so with my son's dog who attacked Suey today....no bites, thank God, but what a ruckus they made.....haven't liked each other for 7 years....:>(
Oh Marilyn - why can't they just get along? I'm glad Suey wasn't hurt.
Thanks everyone. Louise, I got Patches one of those inflatable e-collars today. Soooo much better!!!!!! No more bumping into things, and she seems much more comfortable with it. Last night she was driving me crazy, kept trying to turn around in her bed and having a tough time with that huge cone restricting her movements. Now she won't have this problem. It was pricey, but Patches is worth it. Now I have one for Jerry if he ever needs it, or if one of my friends has a large dog that ever needs to use one, they can borrow mine.
Molly is a nice looking girl, Sherrie. Go for it!
Good thing Suey wasn't hurt, Marilyn.
Great video, Victor!
Karen
Oh, poor Patches. The pillow does look a lot better for him than those cones, though.
Yes, I want one! Nap wherever you find yourself.
Patches is gorgeous. She looks like she might be able to get comfortable is the new inflatable pillow.
Patches does seem to like the new pillow way better than the cone. Looks pretty comfy.
Karen
She looks like she can relax now...
that is really nice
So glad it has helped, Karen. Our vet saw the girls in theirs when she popped over to see them after they were spayed, and she now suggests that her patients use them instead of the clown cone. Lol
Sherrie - hope you get Molly! Mr G would love her. :)
Ronnie - still sending hugs for some comfort. It really hurts and only a LOT of time helps, doesn't it?
Anxiously waiting to hear how it goes. Good Golly Miss Molly!
Good luck, Sherrie....keeping my fingers crossed they will love each other! Memory, I have no idea why Suey & Oliver fight....Robin & Oliver were wonderful together, Ollie also loves Zak, the farm's German shep....but Garret's MIL said Ollie hated both Jake & Sadie, the farm's 2 sheps that have passed away.....I guess he's fine with submissive dogs...Suey is an Alpha girl....Karen, Patches looks so comfy in that collar....now I know what to get if Suey needs one....
Long story.
Miss Molly is here. I dont have a pic of of her & Mr. G yet. As of this time it is called - patience. My nerves are on edge with 2 dogs again and not they are not lolly gaggers but joy to the world around and round and up and down. ughh playful.
Taking in a dog is a commitment for life and takes a strain on my nerves. Why you ask? I dont know what is going to take place teaching and keeping them under control. A marriage for life, death do we part. Plain and simple.
I took the dog, I will give her what I can.
I want her to understand: No bite, Come, Sit and down. Dont forget dont chew or jump. And last play nice. Shes a Puppy!
As typing this I will need 3 days to get this under control. I am not a praying reglious person but at this time I am saying : I am praying Please give me strength and patience. The same as I had with Mr G. He is spoiled and well behaved. My number 1 man.
Now what I just typed the people giving this dog up.
And also I want to thank you for letting me have this opportunity. I have been looking for about 3 months to replace the sister Mr. lost. I had a chance for many dogs but did not fit what was needed. She was part Dingo & part Chow and was in humane society. No man could get near her. When I got there she was on death row and I came face to face with her and her teeth were in my face. I did not back down. The vet was freaking out. I had my miunte with her and I said to my friend: Go get my dog. I told the vet if they fight I wont take her. My dog came in they met, smelled each other and I sid will take her and handed the lead over to him and started to walk away. The dog that had her teeth in my face started to cry. If your reading this now this is the dog I am replacing in my life which is name is Molly.
Sherrie and goodnight. and PS I had that stupid Norovirus or what ever and no sleep for 3 nights and now a dang PUPPY :-)
Oh good luck Sherrie, hope you feel better and Molly and Mr G live happily ever after.
Same here, Sherrie.
Congrats Sherrie, best of luck and pictures please!!
Sherrie, you took on a puppy that really needed you, considering what the last home could offer. Best of success with your new best friend.
Hopefully they'll tire each other out, our dog has tons of energy.
Play mode is so much better than fight mode. Hang in - they will grow up. . . some day.
They will entertain each other & be best friends....just keep smiling, Sherrie......my DH & I bought 4 month old brother & sister airedales...he was retired & supposed to be training them....ha....they chewed everything, dug holes, escaped from the fenced in yard, but....they kept us laughing, and entertained us for many years.....airedales are always puppies....they never grow up....so hang on, Sherrie....Molly will be trained in no time!
Good luck!
You have your hands full, but you will look back on this as one of your most rewarding endeavors.
Oh no Celeste how awful! Hope he does well thru the surgery.
Oh how awful. How did it happen?
Definitely prayers for him from my house.
ohhhh, poor pup!
How terrible. It does sound like something they can fix good luck.
Oh, that poor boy! Prayers for you, Pixie, & for Cyrus!
fingers crossed for that dear boy.
aaaaaaawwwwwwww poor Cyrus.. we will have group puppy prayers for him tonight
