wow big boy already
The other day, as I was leaving town, I saw 3 turkeys sitting on the roof of someone's car....well, today's paper had a photo of Thomas Turkey walking down the sidewalk along with a pedestrian...seems Thomas & his 3 girlfriends are taking over...they are blocking the doorway to town hall, chased a kid home from school, are trying to get into the bank....really making pests of themselves!
Yeah, his back is even w/Terra's back and just an inch shy of Jake.
LOL Too funny Robin!! I had a duck named Fuzzy Wuzzy...long story short, we had to get rid of him as the mailman was not allowed to come in our yard. ^_^
Wow...an attack duck!
Salem is in alot of trouble today. I discovered he has chewed threw the cord of DH's phone charger. Somehow he got a hold of it. Silly cat!
Oh boy! Salem is living up to the name? LOL
he's 16 yrs. I've lost computer mice to him. We thought the cord was hidden better, guess not.
Hee hee he
About Pixie's "attack duck":
The ancient Romans used geese as sentry ("watchdogs"), because they couldn't be bought off with meat, and made quite a racket. They were penned in groups along the perimeters.
Salem should know better by now! LOL
Here is a heart warming story - http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/46168614/ns/today-today_pets_and_animals/
Tissues please!
pass them this way please.
Wow...what a great story...you can see the wonderful bond between the two.....
Lalalalalala...can't read anything sad...my face puffs up when I cry and it is a scary sight.
Oh no Louise it's not sad, just really heartwarming, enough to make one cry!
Kid/Dog bonding.....for everyone's benefit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found it amazing how much a service dog cost the user.
Whew...thanks for letting me know; I will check it out. :)
Well, I put off having Patches's cyst removed for now. It does not need to be done immediately. She is still on antibiotics, and the cyst seems to be draining a lot less now, less fluids building up in it. I will keep and eye on it and see how it goes.
Bear is such a handsome boy, Doug.
Allison, Eros is just adorable.
Your Patches is a gorgeous girl, Celeste. Sounds like Cyrus is getting quite big. Already about as heavy as Patches. Jerry weighs 60 lbs., and he's over a year old now, so I don't think he'll get any bigger.
Memory, that's a beautiful story about Lucas and Juno. Pretty amazing.

Great story.
Wall-e first dog I ever had that I can actually hear him fart.....oh brother.....
You should come to my house....LOL fart is my bulldog Abbey's middle name!
I hear Harper when she stretches forward on her front paws and Atticus whenever he feels like it.
ya, heard Bulldogs are VERY gassy
Loved the Dane on the Superbowl ad for Doritos.....
Big online protest over the doritos commercial. How tasteless to have a dog kill a cat and then to have the husband lie to his wife! What message is this sending to the viewers - especially children?
Uh, oh....that was the one I liked.....I guess I have to believe he only chased the cat....how's that for rationalization? I guess my dogloving genes got in the way....sorry, Memory!
I'm more concerned about the message being sent to dogs!
Yes, I spoke to mine about it.....actually I do that all the time....she hates cats, I'm trying to change her mind....
What about the message to husbands? It is OK to lie to your wife if the dog tells you to do it. Remember Son of Sam? He took directions from a dog!
hahahahaha
I didn't see the commercial. Maybe better if I don't.

We had a real scare with Atticus today...he is OK and home with us but he has had a heart attack :(
We were in the yard enjoying this nice day and he was barking and carrying on along with Harper at my son's MC, nothing out of the ordinary...that fast he fell and was moaning and breathing very heavy and then stopped breathing....after a few minutes or an eternity, I'm not sure which, he started moving, I had already called the vet and my husband called our son to come back to help us get him in the truck. He was very week and we manged to get him up and in the truck. The vet came out to listen to his heart and said it was very week and his pulse in his back leg was barely there, hence making him collapse.
They did an EKG and need to up his meds, looks like his heart problems have progressed to cardiomyopathy. He is OK now just very lethargic and we are discussing what kind of meds to get him on, basically now it's just a matter of time. He isn't in any pain and vet said there is no need to put him down, just needs to be a real couch potato. I am just so very thankful my GDs weren't here.
Oh, Ronnie....how terrifying! Hope Atticus is doing better now......
Oh no! I hope you have a couch big enough for both of you.
oh no.. poor Atti... big hugs to everyone there.. I wish for the best Ronnie
Oh no! Same here.
OMG! How awful, Ronnie! That sounds like a huge scare. I know how bad you must feel, knowing it's just a matter of time. Make sure he takes it easy. Poor guy.
