Judy - 'fraid I haven't had the courage to mention this to the Operations Director here, in Calgary. He came back early from a trip to Winnipeg, and I know he would be available....... BUT........... I'm being a wuss
And I haven't called the agency yet either. I don't think she would be sympathetic, however I do have some news for her - the possibility of this job becoming perm by Feb 10th........

I just had a call from my surgeon’s office. It seems he is not happy with the results of my pulmonary function test done yesterday and he has cancelled my surgery. I meet with him next Wed to see where we go from here. I’m sooooo upset…

That would be very upsetting. Hang in there.

Bones in my knee seem to be rubbing against each other and I'm out of pain killers. Think it's time to schedule the surgery.

Well here I am in Barrie office, not lol..

Some of you know how I have such a difficult time with Paul's daughters..thought it would be over when they moved into Penetang and Suzanne and I in Barrie but not...

If I'm working from home there is always a reason they really needed me to come in..apparently court documents might be faxed here either today or tomorrow?????? never are, just like deliveries, if I say I'm home Friday you can be certain that is when they should be delivered...

Yes I can switch fax machine to them but last night Suzanne had clients sending in paperwork for Trustee signings today so couldn't..about noon got an e-mail saying there was an important document coming in...tired of listening to them I came into the office..yep, snow and white outs, sent e-mails to everyone advising I was on my way in..waited 10 minutes incase I got a call saying stay home..nope

Just walked in and a call came from LeeAnn, "omg there was not need for you to go in, I called court office and had them fax to my office" then 'why don't you go home, storm is suppose to get worse' hmmm right, by now I'm aggravated enough to stay, storm or not!!!! Happy, NOT and these are my two young nieces..of course dad owns the company so therefore they feel they do to..

what's with people we are working with, do they not know that helping each other, working as a team is not a benefit for all..

drats, left in a hurray, left my wallet on the cupboard..have enough gas to get home, didn't eat yet..see Suzanne had 2 popcorn bags, micro'd one..burnt, second it ok...doesn't smell nice in here lol

Betty, can't believe you went to work. Maybe when they call and start crying, you better call and double check with the boss. Maybe he does not know what they are doing?
Burnt popcorn smells, and it is so hard to get rid of that smell! Hope you have some febreeze or maybe a candle to burn for a bit! Please drive careful when you go home!

Yes, they have mentality of about a 12 year old..they've always worked for dad so have no concept about team work..

What I did do is e-mail Suzanne and Paul advising that the telephones because I'm not able to transfer back to office would be put to voice mail until I reached Barrie office, explained reason for coming in as well as saying due to whiteouts etc it might take me longer than the hour..

Suzanne will slap me silly for coming in that is for sure..she just tells them where to go, me, not!

I use to work with a lady that "liked" her popcorn burnt. She would smell up the whole building but she didn't seem to care. Of course!.....the microwave was across the hall from MY office!

Yep, DH told me it was coming two days ago.....not allowed to say anything. Now it is in the open and yes, very very sad. So glad he was "sold" but such a big loss. Still quite a few we know that will struggle through all these changes.

It was a good thing DH did the job change and went with the new company, and got his retirement benefits out just in time....although they say nothing will happen to the peoples funds. I don't trust them at all any more, really don't!

We had more wind, then the snow started. Probably around 4:00 ish....couldn't see across the street. Went from a green yard to snow covered in under 30 minutes. They say more tonight and early morning.....and the Finger Lakes where we are going tomorrow is getting even more.

Almost packed, finishing some last minute needs up......and will hopefully rest. Everything set to pack the van in the morning.

Yes for Kodak..they were hoping to sell their parents to stay afloat but wasn't to be.

Debbie's hubby worked for Kodak in Rochester, years ago I worked for Kodak in Toronto as did my mom, Lordy that must be over 30 years ago..actually I was on the 'slides' and was recruited for weeks to do photo of the arena that was a makeshift morgue when the plane went down just shy of the Toronto airport..every night ad to go in and do slides of every piece on body found and numbered so they could use for identification..most charred! Wasn't a good experience

Debbie, one year going to Florida I took a detour via finger lakes...omg it was so beautiful..was in January, decided the detour would be nice..hours after finger lakes I ended up on a mountain top with nowhere to go but down..think 2 hours down.. Cried all the way down..this side trip was to see some caves..won't do that again..started writing ions ago then Kyle dropped in for a visit..he is enjoying his snow machine this week..don't like he drives the lake though.

I am watching some snow fall, Most of Shane's things are down here in the living room, and my heart is just pounding.

Not him I am worried about....he has been such a help for me, and these last months helped me get going. It is good he can go now and be a "kid" growing up and learning.

Tomorrow is also our 22nd wedding anniversary, not sure what we will do...if anything...but going to be busy. I will definitive take my camera and take pictures of the lake and all the scenery tomorrow. It is a very beautiful area.

Judy - tough with the kiddos and their BF's and GF's..... You ... just like Deb... always do so much for the kids friends in your lives... they should appreciate it more... I woudl think they do as "hindsight".....

Seems many of us feeling under appreciated at work... It's just not fair as hard as we work.

I'm going to buy a business and hire myself first then all of you :)

It's been a very tough day. work-wise...and I just got home.

Hey Deb... I know it's tough but I think this is such a good move for Shane...

I know he is your rock...and not so with my DSD1.... BUT if you'd have told me how much she was going to mature by leaving the house... I would have not believed it....

Wish my DS would go to college elsewhere...but his GF lives here and I DO so love her... she is very good for him and he isn't going to leave her. Finally got him back at Community College and he's back to work too Thank God.

Hard to say but I can't wait for DSD2 to move out because if she matures like DSD1 does then I'll be a Happy Camper....she graduates HS in May.

Mary and Susan ... so sorry for your bad days at work. I had a witch for a boss one time. I can't say the name, but I will say this ... we got together and gave a gift with initials engraved on it. First name started with "R" ... last started with "A" and middle started with "T". When they did it of course the last initial was in the middle just a bit larger than the other ones, so it spelled out "rAt" Pretty much summed it up. We didn't plan it. Almost went through the floor when we gave it ... but it was funny. LOL

Last night I was using DH's new lap top (that he doesn't use sadly) and I know I sent off a post. Don't see it here though.

So as I said last night it looks many of you need lots of hugs today so consider it done.My goodness we all had something not so good happen to us yesterday.

Betty I am appalled that you were expected to drive into Barrie in those winter conditions. I hope you are documenting this and do have a word with Paul. He very well might be their daddy but he is also their boss and they should be treated like employees. Does he leave them in charge when he is not around? Perhaps that needs to be sorted out.... I am sure Paul realizes you do not stay home willy nilly.

Barb I am just floored although in some ways I don't know why because the same thing happened to me with my Pit tumour. I hope the doc who cancelled the surgery at least spoke with you enough yesterday that your mind is not whirling about what is going on with the results.I too think perhaps it is a good thing the doc chose to wait rather than forge ahead if there was something in those tests that made him so cautious.Not that this is going to make you feel any better but a lady in our village was in the OR with the first sedative into her body when the doc operating cancelled the surgery. Didn't give too much of an explanation either at the time. At least you weren't already there! You sure do need lots of hugs today ((((Barb)))).

Crissy, sounds to me like Dave is 1 step from the door but wants you to be the bad guy. Ever so easy for him to keep up his patter of maligning you if you turf him. Stay strong Crissy - I know you are.

Safe travels today for Debbie as she sees Shane off to college. The storm stopped here about 2 am Debbie so hopefully it did there too. Glad Paul is going to be along and doing the driving. That is all your poor body needs is all that extra stress.

Guess you got lots of snow Dianne yesterday...here we only got a sprinkling late last night...just enough to make it once again hard to drive!! Roads are bare ice underneath of snowdrifts.

Well I have to get going, getting my yearly mamograph today...always amazes me how flat they can squisch them...lol...DH just called to let me know that the roads are not pretty around our area...so will leave extra early...its only a 15 minute drive but it is all backroads and those are the last ones to get plowed.
Will have breakfast for you all at Timmies!!

Good morning all my dear friends. And it is still a good morning even though I'm sitting here at the computer instead of being on the table!!!
No Dianne, the office staff is who called me with the cancel - not the doc so I am sitting here now with new worries. But I'll be Dam--d if I will let this get me down to where I was before. I had a good cry yesterday and now yesterday is gone and today I'm up, dressed and ready to go. I'm still angry enough to take on the world but I'm going to sew instead!!!!

I sure do hope some kind of discussion is held Betty regarding the girls and what authority they have over you at work. They don't sound like nice people and after all you have told us about Paul and Suzanne, I can't imagine them letting the girls bad behavior continue. But - on the same note, they can't change anything they don't know about either. I hope today is a better one and that this gets straightened out. You should not be driving in bad conditions for any of them....

Barb, I am sorry your surgery got post-phoned...but thats what it is, a slight delay. Trust me...you do NOT want something to go wrong during surgery, and you end up in worse shape then when you went in. Been there, done that.....and it is good they caught this "problem" before hand...instead of during..and it turned into a 911 situation! Think of it as God saying "wait a minute, we need to regroup". I think someone whispered in that Docs ear to get that test run the day before....and a dang good thing HE did!

Yes, today is the day. Big fat fluffy snowflakes falling....it is beautiful. I have already had one blubbering Mom incident, and took one of my "cut the emotions in half" Pill.....and hopefully can pull it together for my son! The fact I am about to climb the stairs and get him up "for the last time at home" is hurting! BUT we need to pack the van and get a move on!

Crissy...gotta say, I agree with Dianne right now.....Dave wants YOU to be the bad guy. Waiting for YOU to blow and kick him to the curb,, then he will be the wounded party.

She was a cold one coming in..fingers still numb..guess who didn't check her windshield washer fluid..had to stop 3 times to throw snow just to get to work..I'll pop down at Zellers in a bit and look for the steel wool 0000 and windshield washer fluid.

As for the girls THEY are not in charge..no inhouse bosses..we each do our job and that's that..but when I stay home they no like..

Dianne, you will be proud of me, took the print out from under my piece, numbered each item required..oh/oh all that is presently done were large pieces..I have 51 mini pieces to cut..think I'll be making good use of that gemini saw so what I thought was going to be the easy will end up the most time consuming part!
