Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..

Talk about a short afternoon, took Lunch at 3:15, got back at 4:15 and homeward bound by 4:30

Went to fabricland and picked up 15 meters of Xmas fabric..adhesive batting and thread will be a Joann's purchase..too much money here..my goal is to have Suzanne's quilt done by end of February, makes it doable without rushing!

She reminded me at lunch that I purchased bobbles and feet for 5 jewelry boxes in stained glass..guess that will be next on my agenda!

I can fly to N.Y. rent a car and pick up Debbie and Barb?

Ever feel like crawling into bed, pulling the covers up, and forgetting the world for awhile?
That's how I'm feeling. Feeling weepy........ 'suppose it's because I'm feeling non-productive, and "stalled". Don't feel like doing Anything............

Oh Bev...I hope and pray the stints for Scotty work well. My brother had to have them a couple years ago, he is doing well.

Dianne, thought that was pretty interesting about the inmates learning a trade. Once watched a movie about some inmates I think in England where one of them planted a tomato plat from seed...Pretty soon a bunch of them were planting and working the garden, well the head guy saw and entered them in a Contest and they won! Wish I could remember the name of that, was a pretty good movie...But i do think it was from a very long time ago...Oh and i think you will enjoy Seedfolks as well...

Everyone must be busy,busy today...it's been quiet.
Had a pretty good day, but now I'm tired of sewing, lol...finished the windmill, and the four teddy bear blocks, need to hand stitch the C on and add eyes,nose and mouth on bears...maybe later while watching a little tv.

Oh hey, I was out exactly once today, nice 42* Could have beaten someone up!! Left me with fumes had to scrape up $9.00 to get only a little over 2 gallons, grrrr.

The other night was feeling rather blue because I'm going to be 50 in a few weeks...So i called Barb to boohoo over it and well she didn't feel sorry for me either, so we laughed a while!!

I'll be 58 in a couple of months, so "almost 50" isn't much.....

Had a long day. Had PT and started feeling woozie and the vapors. Sat in the van to make sure I could drive. Think I just needed some food. Stopped and got an egg mcMuffin...best I could do in that area. Didn't help much, but came home and crashed.

Susan, I have felt that way since Sept....very unproductive and lost. Just take it one day at a time and concentrate on what you can do.

Linda, Barb and I live 8 hours apart! More like I would drive to the airport (45 minutes from me) and pick up everyone....and head to Bettys! lol

Judy, are you driving to Betty's?

Hello everyone. I'm just popping in for a minute to tell you all that there is a special on TV tonight honoring Betty White on her 90th birthday. She is one person in the entertainment business that I truly like and admire. Just thought you might like to know!!!

Wow Judy, you sure have come a long way and I'm so proud of you!!! That quilt will be stupendous!!!!
Betty - MORE Christmas fabric, I know I read it before but my memory is driving me crazy right now. For whom are you wanting that fabric??? Is it for the swap blocks quilt? I know it will look great when you are done.


I have marked the calendar for the end of June. Here's hoping things go well and I can make it. I would so love to meet with so many of you...

Already had hot bath, in my nighty and on the couch...

Darlene called to say it was a hard day for her picking up Mike's ashes..said she had him right beside her...made me cry..said she spoke with Don another friend of theirs about doing the project Mike had said my Christmas present was and said Don would be here as soon as it was warm enough to do the project...told her no, least of worries and it can wait..she said Mike wanted to do it and she would be hurt if I didn't let her do it..said Mike always felt good about doing things for me and she wants to continue doing same!

Cleaned the craft room last night thinking maybe tomorrow the girls would come but Darlene will have them come Wedn instead if she is up to it..bit early for doing nothing, should go and start organizing sained glass area or NOT

Will try and remember to watch her special..quite an icon..just like "Lucy"

Barb the fabric is to finish the Christmas quilt I am doing for Suzanne for this Christmas..6 more blocks to make and top is done..I've used 22 of my Christmas swap block 2010 and 2011 in total. Made 4 over the weekend, all gung ho to finish..I'll take photo of fabrics I bought..for the back the wanted $12.00 meter for 100% cotton , not paying that so went back to the few Christmas bolts and bought Xmas fabric for $5 a meter

Ooooh so hope you can make the gathering, men welcome too...will find something for them to do..besides who will go get our morning Tim Hortons coffee

They are trying to gmt. regulate that you cannot find out the sex of your unborn child until week 32 or was it 34 so that you cannot abort...apparently many nationalities who do not want girls based on their traditions are a boring females....imagine.

For Internet I use something like 3 of something that I have 25 of. Lol. Crazy..always Leary of these calls, just told them I'm fine the way I am..how do I know it's them??

What a night this has been..didn't take as long as I thought, few minutes to spare before I call my organizing downstairs done..

Started to move things and I found under the workstation a hospital tray that my friend James Wilkie, world renound psychic (worked with Mother Theresa in Calcutta) did reading with Astraunots (?) Think I gave you all his biography some time ago and showed you the cards he wrote me...well there was the tray of his portrait of me in another life..lol he painted it and said that I was a terrible jessibel, had treated men very poorly even had some put to death and that in this life my duty would be to wait on men.. yep, me a jessibel..so here is his rendition of me in another life

If anyone looked like Liberaci it was he..what a character..he moved in the next town to get away from everything..he was so different that it was hard for him to make friends...I found him facinating and we became good friends..we'd often go to dinner, he'd visit my house, I his..his was always set up as though the queen was coming

then I came across a cheese block box, one of my students decided to paint an old box with something her son wanted her to paint on it..sun/stars..one night she got called, he had hung himself in the basement of their home..they've now moved and it has stayed unfinished..

then set a few things on the shelves only to see box after box of unused paints Carol's husband gave me..she had a studio and painted with me..passed on at 52

So amongst the mess of my stained glass area I found what poor George who painted with me for ions..he worried about some of the girls not being able to open their paints with arthritic hands so he made the a little contraption out of dowel that you simply attached to the painting bottle lids and up went the lid for use

Lost George as well last spring..then on the shelves I cleaned were a few leftover wooden pieces that Mike had routered for the blackboards many of you received on my visit or your visit..

So when I say I've spent the night surrounded by the dead, I truly mean it!

What goodies did I find..well, not the grinder bit for my grinder..did find the attachment to get into little areas...

Realize I have sooo many goodies for stained glass, just have to break away from sewing for awhile and using them...things that regular people probably would not have purchased..lol

Dianne, lots of rolls of copper tape but not sure if they are oxydized and ready for garbage???

been rather an odd night so will make you laugh..

he was visiting me one night at the house, he didn't drive because he spend all his $$ on art..had the crown Yul Brenner wore in the King and I, so, I'd pick him up..he love my craft room overlooking the lake..so there we were gabbing, I had dated a few times..he said to me, 'Roger often visits, likes the room you built, it was his dream to build it for you' I quickly said, 'sure hope he didn't visit last Saturday, he sure would have had an eye full' too funny he started to laugh and couldn't stop and almost chocked to death..lol

found a bag with what looks like is pieces that I might have started a lamp..all the goodies for lamps in my tool boxes..means I should get busy making a lamp..lordy, kids if I go will go crazy trying to decide what to do with all these projects..

Also found 3 oval frosted pieces I cut to do stained glass around them and then to oil paint on..gee whiz, could get this years Christmas gifts done if I got busy finishing unfinished projects...

All this tonight because I wanted to clean my workspace so I could pull out that what 3 or 4 year project I have almost finished that I can't seem to put my heart and energy into
