We are in Florida with the heat on. All the neighbors here are pissed at us, claim we brought the cold from New Hampshire. Just getting the computer and network working. Some changes tomorrow should improve things. Typical problems upon arrival, heat not working, network not working and a faucet leaking water. Heat is working, network working slow and faucet leak to be fixed tomorrow. Hope to get some time photographing birds and alligators while we are here.
Sunrise starting in Florida, all are Florida photos are on the computers in NH.

WHO'S AT YOUR BIRD FEEDERS
Glad you arrived safely and weren't faced with too many problems. Enjoy your time.
Migrating has its own set of problems as does sheltering in place! Say hello to all of our feathered friends who will be rejoining us soon.
I really miss birding in FL.....take some photos for me!
What a great photo of the hawk & the dove! Looks like a red shouldered hawk....do not love the gators!
I have a question: For the past few days I havnt had any small birds at the feeder. No Chickadees,Nuthatches,Woodpeckers,Titmice. I do have Cardinals and a few Juncos.
When seeds are available in the wild, small birds sometimes stay away from feeders, especially if hawks are around....
My feeder isn't very busy either, but i can't see any new sources of food, or many birds around. There was a symphony of bird sounds a few days ago. Could they be headed north?
Starting to migrate again? or there was a hawk close by.
Weather is changing, the grackles were back in my yard today...grrrrrr
There was a Red Belly pounding on the grill this morning! Spring is in the air!
I'm a state higher so maybe we will have spring in a few weeks. It snowed and sleeted last night.
Snowed here, too :>(.....a few small birds today....
Your little feathered buddies missed you, John!
Just showing off.
My small birds seem to be comming back. I dont know why they took a week off. They have about 2 weeks of feed left. Its so close to the end of feeder season I just cant buy another bag.
nice shot john - love blue birds
The bluebirds have been very active at the dam....didn't see them this morning, but several mornings last week.....hope you're feeling better, John.
Flocks upon flocks of European starlings here. Also some red winged blackbirds, and dozens of mourning doves at a time. My favorites wouldn't have a chance at the birdfeeder today but I still don't see them, either.
I've got to get a telephoto adapter or a new lense for my camera. Just can't get a good shot of anything. Course I'd like a nicer camera, too.
Spring is coming grackles are back spend all morning during breakfast chasing them off the feeders, but it's good thing they just fly when I open the door.
I always throw out crumbs and leftover baked goods onto the deck, threw out leftover cupcake from a b-day in my son's class...never seen this color before...birds won't even eat it!!!
Real Robins are here.
You had fake ones before?
No, spring ones instead of winter ones.....saw a large flock a few days ago that I believe were migrating.....
My favorite of all Allison...the Mockingbird.
I thought some of you might like this http://www.allaboutbirds.org/Page.aspx?pid=2422&ac=ac&utm_source=Cornell+Lab+eNews&utm_campaign=48964f52af-eNews_HawkBirdCam_March_2012&utm_medium=email
cool I have never seen one before.. thanks!!.. love that link too!!!
Cat birds and Mockingbirds are very similiar and the only I can tell is when they fly away the Mockingbird has the white underneath
the sky was so cloudy and bright at the same time.. glad the photos were good enough to see
Grackles are driving me crazy, I haven't filled my feeders in a month cause they just keep wiping them out. and they're soooooo noisy!!!!
they used to make me nuts too
Male cardinal was stuck on my porch this morning...good thing I saw him before I let Suey out! He was smart....found the right turn after I spoke to him......
Only squirrels today :>(
I still haven't refilled my feeders waiting for grackels to move on
Yes we have Squirrels every day. Just did not post them.
Here is a post from my Blog. http://www.jwlwgardens.com/?p=5126
Have a great evening,
John
He wasn't at my feeder, but, a type of woodpecker was poking into the ground. He was bigger than most downys I've seen so I don't know what ype he was. Found it most interesting.
