Jordan Jefferson keeps throwing lateral passes and FAILED. He's very bad at reading defense tonight. We have another quarterback, but Les Miles refused to put him in!
We will be shut out. Humiliating, this is not the LSU we're familiar with.
I'm glad we don't have the thousands of dollars to pay for tickets!!!
Lord forgive me, if I drink up the whole bottle of JD!!! Cassis don't do nothing..

Trent Richardson scored a TD. Alabama is now 21. We're still 0.
They're very well coached and prepared for the Honey Badger and this inept quarterback. Our defense can't hold the Bama back.

This is embarrassing, 1st team to be shut out in a BCS championship. Good thing about this game, we'll not have the same QB next year.

Kel wasn't much help. He went into the bedroom after the 2nd quarter telling me that Jefferson will lose the game, if Miles (the HC) didn't put in Lee.
He was right. I sat in my chair, and for the first time, threw fits and screamed and holler at all the stupid play callings.
Not in my character last night, not prim, but one ugly Jaye. Not proud of it either.

Sue, if your DH were to watch the game, he'd be wondering too, what had happened. A shut out!! Of all the games, the BIGGEST one!!! First time in BCS history.

This in a nutshell, if anyone doesn't know the 'histrionics' of LSU football 2011 leading up to the championship.
We moan and groan for we have the WORSE quarterbacks, that it takes 2 to make a whole 1!!
These two qbs are so different. Jarrett Lee with the great throwing arm, and Jefferson, who can run.
The primary qb is Jordan Jefferson, and he got suspended early in the season. Jarrett Lee who was benched 2010 for throwing 'pick 6', was called upon to lead the team.
He did a very good job leading us to 8-0.
Then after the first Alabama game, where he threw 2 interceptions, JL was benched, NEVER to be used, unless it's to take a knee.
We won the next 5 games, the SEC West Div. and the SEC championship, not thanks to JJ but to the Defense and Special Team.

Okay, Sue's DH (Tim)... here's where I used up my box of tissues last night.
Do you think a 13-0 (NO LOSSES) team should look like a lesser division high school football team last night?
Well, they did.
5-1st downs, crossed the 50 once in the 4th qtr, 25% of our plays were for negative yardage, only 90 total yds offense, kept insisting stupid 3 yds lateral passes. JJ's poor comprehension and looking like a deer in the headlights. Defense WASN'T given a chance to rest, due to JJ's inefficacy.
AND still Miles refused to bring Jarrett Lee in, even when the fans hollered for him!!
Saban played to stop JJs game (the line -runs- play action and sweeps). We were led to the slaughter.
Had Lee come in, Saban would have at least had to consider the "pass" and backed away which he totally ignored with JJ.
JL in the shotgun, may have had the chance to revive us and I truly believe puts at least 3 points.

Mind boggling. Absolutely mind boggling.

Another SEC team won the BCS and for the first time in 6 years, and SEC team lost.

Well, I'm a die hard LSU fan. Next year we'll be over the JJ or JL fiasco, and we'll have 3 Five Stars QBs to stop this nightmare.
It's not going to be Alabama we should worry about, but I think it's Arkansas, another SEC team.

Lord helps this household should Georgia be ranked next year, as Kel's a Ga. fan.

Not a problem--there was a time (when Ross was alive) I was just as bad as you and Kathy. Somehow it just isn't as much fun anymore. So, keep it up, I enjoy your style.

siiiiiiiigh - well, here I sit at the office.
Guess I was more distracted by my near-car-accident this morning than I thought (did a 180 turn on an off-ramp this am)- I left the keys in the car and the battery's dead.
Good thing one of the engineers is staying late in a meeting and he has booster cables. It's been 3/4 of an hour and the car won't start yet. Likely to be here for another 3/4 of an hour yet.
Between chatting online and my e-reader, I've got stuff to do, but it's already pitch-dark and I have a church board meeting at 7pm.

Oh Susan, sorry about your dead battery! Hope it starts soon!

Jaye i think you give Madden a run for his money with your game input. YOU need a chalk board and circle all the players and start making lines all over LOL . Tim got a good chuckle out of your insight on the game. I told him your a football girl .

sis jaye, all kidding aside, i must say lsu had a great year, and are a really great team. they should be proud.



with that said, i need to tell you i laughed threw the whole game! my hubby got made and went to bed.

LK - it took an hour, but eventually my car got charged (thanks to an angel-coworker who stayed until it started!)
Only took me 20 min to get home, and an hour later I went to a meeting and it started like a dream. Today too!

Marion, I was 'forced' into football. All the engineers and mechanics I worked with, that's all they do during breaks.. talk football. Then when we had meetings, football lingo was used :( So, if I were to be part of the group, I might as well take up their poison!

Ex was never into FB. Kel is, as he once played for his HS.
It's funny, Kel would call me from work and asked about the games he's interested in if he can't listen to the radio.

Just a quick message to let you know that after 4.5 months of testing everything from soup to nuts I'm finally having surgery to remove the gall bladder next week. I can't wait till it's over!!!

Bet you will be glad to have that over with? When is your surgery?

Faye called this evening and what follows breaks my heart and is among the saddest news I've ever had to relay in my life.

Ray wasn't able to go home Monday, and Faye has been by his side at the hospital since last Friday. She's exhausted getting home around 11 PM, falls into bed, and gets up one more day to be with him. There's no easy way to say this, Ladies. Ray has congestive heart failure and a Cardiologist is monitoring his heart; a Nephrologist is monitoring Raye's only kidney; and a Pulmonologist has been called in to monitor Ray's shortness of breath. Since he's so very ill and weak, another surgery Friday is doubtful.

Those of you who haven't had an opportunity to meet Faye and Ray, they are truly soul mates who have a rare, deep, abiding love for each other, and a strong faith. Please keep them in you thoughts and pray as hard as you ever have for Ray.

Susan's right about their strong faith.
More prayers going up for Faye and Ray. Faye has a deep belief of angels too. I'll ask Him to do what's best for Ray, and for angels to surround them.
