Crissy, I have one word that would describe you to a "t".
*YOUTH*
That said, I would have stayed home, under the covers girl! But I'm glad you're okay.
♥Sweet Interruptions # 232♥
Being exhausted from walking means it was pneumonia? Geeze that happens to me when I get bronchitis and as Jaye says, bronchitis is from stress. I get exhausted when I have bronchitis all the time - just walking from the living room to the outside door does it for me.............
Good thing I'm all over it and have been since the end of November! I could not have existed through the Christmas season - it's terrible to have it, and I'm glad you were able to get out New Year's Eve, Crissy!!
Oh Jaye, Love those pressies from Betty and Charleen! Thanks for posting them!
Jaye, I have been trying to call you, turn on your phone please???
Sistah's, I have a prayers request from Faye/dahtzu. She posted this in another thread.
My Ray needs your prayers. Today we were told that he has cancer again. 3 Yrs ago he lost a kidney to cancer and now the cancer has come again in his back. Ray will have surgery next Fri. the 13th. Dr. said it would be wide and deep because will be cutting out muscle. My heart is breaking, I love him dearly.
Faye
Jaye I felt fine and the 2 doses of Advair had already started to help so I know I was going to be ok. My Christmas was crappy, NOT going to have a crappy New Years Eve too. I refuse.
LK - please pass on that she and Ray are in my thoughts and prayers that the Lord will guide the surgeon's hands for a successful surgery, and that Ray recovers quickly.
((((((Cookie ))))))) you say the word and i m on my way over !!!! to give your dad and you hugs. Ok Bill too :)
Judaaaayyyyy girl , thank you for your kind words. i m much better.
crissy i have to say " youth is wasted on the young " ROFLLLL you are brave !! give me some of yours please ?
oh what great pressies jaye
(((((LK))))) sending prayers to Ray.
Precious Penny... better you then me LOL i don't do potty training ! but she is adorable :)
Can you say* Princess and the Pea ?* cuz that is me !!! we got a new bed the Tempurpedic one . well its to soft !! i smoosh all the way down and its like trying to climb a mountain trying to get out ! ack :P
soooooo after a temper tantrun and a hormonal rage , Tim took me to trade it in for a firmer one LOL well after he yelled back at me and said " i will stick a pea up your A$$ . " LOL i stopped and laughed.
Thanks for posting that LK. I got a dmail from Faye about that, and her heart must be heavy. Faye's faith in God is very strong, and she sure can use more prayers.
Yes, please sistahs, you all are such wonderful prayer warriors, please don't forget about Ray.
May 2012 sees you CLEAR of bronchitis, Susan!
Crissy, I've been here 10 years and never once get to celebrate New Year's Eve in a grand manner. I missed La.!! Ex and I would be on Bourbon St. every year, don't have to booze, just have a good time dancing down the streets and feasting on good food! Next morning we'll be having breakfast @ Cafe' Du Monde.
I'm glad you get to enjoy welcoming the New Year.
Princess Sue. Now you're a royal butt for sure telling Tim to stick a pea up his derriere!! Lololol!!! But I agree, I'd go for the firmer mattress!!
Hambone's baaaaaaaaaaack!!!! Poor thing was so hungry from his 'adventure'.
Sorry LK, when you called, I was greeting him!!! Gave him 3 cans of chow and he's getting a real hambone tomorrow.
Thank you dear Lord!
Faye and Ray are in my prayers Jaye and I'm so happy to hear that Hambone is back!!!!
Sue - if Bob ever told me he'd "stick a pea up my [()&*)&*^_+ " I'd laugh too! He knows he wouldn't even get Close to that LOL
The reason I am not opening these gifts at the same time, is because I am selfish!! Yep, I want to prolong the happy sensation like a kid getting a present for each Christmas day!
It's been so long since I've ever been this happy.
Unexpectedly it led me to another blessing. The blessing to contemplate and honor each of you as I unravel your box. The time taken to thank Jesus for you, in serious earnesty, and the vow followed that I will be a better sistah to you.
This precious Tic Tac Toad set is from Robin ^_^ Isn't it adorable? Toads playing against lotuses! Thank you Robin for sending this gem to me. My love for you is greater than the all the toads in this world!!
Ooh I don't mean to shout, but I AM delirously happy!!!!
Barb, Hambone may be the ugliest dog in this county, but we sure love him!!
My batteries down. I couldn't understand that as I had purchased fresh batteries just for the pics. Till I check the card and Kel had taken dozens of pics of clouds and whatever filled his sight!! No worries.. I sent him to the store for new batteries.
But I managed to get another pic before they 'dieded'.
All I can say is, thank you Julia, thank you Bree and thank you Jake.
Sistah Judy, yes I was looking forward to seeing your kids last year. Having met Julia, I know I'll enjoy Bree and was anticipating some breakfast cooked by Jake.
One day, I'll be hugging them and kissing their cheeks, if I can reach!!
They gave me a pocket book calendar inscripted "--those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles--" Isaiah 40-31
And a daily verse devotional, which will be part of daily devotions.
Today's verse is from Matthew 4-4 which surmised that every word of God sustains our soul. How true is that?
^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
Glad to hear hambone is back home!
Love the tic tac toe game! And it is nice to have the pocket calendar with the daily devotions handy like that!
Lately, I haven't been able to pray for myself LK. It's somewhat easier to pray for others, going down the list, with the specific requests.
It's easier for me to cry to the Lord, than verbally stating my requests. He knows all.
Still I praise His name for everything He has done. All blessings come from Him, and you all are such wonderful blessings.

Enjoyed looking at all your treasures Jaye!
I'm wearing your pendant Betty! Love it!!!
Wonderful Jaye...while praying for others, please add Canadian friends...we'll do round robin and send prayers your way!
Oh how Great to see your feeling Better Sistah's!!
I am enjoying the party, but my gosh...I'll be back soon as I can.
We had a huge water break!! not sure if its the main or in our walls or from street...Water Every where!!
So smiling at your excitement Sistah!!
Oh Judy, sure wish I was closer, we have a wet vac!
Happy for you, dear Jaye! Take all the time you want to open your gifts - every day can be like your celebrated birthday this way!!
btw - we had a "bit of a wash" in our bathroom - our washing machine popped the water hose and it flowed all over our new tiled floor (done in June). Now all the grout had swelled and is cracking, with the tiles shifting.
I suppose we'll need to chip all the grout out, and if a tile's loose we'll need to re-stick it. We'll definitely need to re-grout......... yikes! It's like "crunching" everytime we walk in the bathroom! And the tiles rock.......... !
Morning everyone!
Sounds like a tedious job Susan?
Susan
Had similar happen years ago..get Bob an early birthday present, multi-crafter...has an accessory that does well with removing all old grout
Just sitting here having coffee and looking at flyers..Canadian Tire has one one reg 99.99 for $34.00.
Last time I mentioned the inflatable boat Calgary's had same sale so maybe at lunch you can run off and pick one up for him if he doesn't already have one
Perfect tool for many home jobs...you know me, if it's a tool I need it regardless if I use it. Lol
Betty - that's too funny - we just got our "flyer batch" last night, and Bob picked out the ones we might look at.
Wouldn't you know - same Canadian Tire flyer, with the multi-tool - for $34! We wouldn't have realized it had a grout remover if you hadn't mentioned it! Thanks! However - with me not working over Christmas, and spending $$ for my trip (I spent Nothing while there - my family and friends took care of me), etc, we're down in our account, with 2 cars to fuel up for work (that's about $140 for both). I only get 3 days pay next Thursday.
On the "up side", Bob works 1/2 day tomorrow, so will get 1 1/2 pay for it - like a full day! He gets paid next Friday.
Good Morning!!!
It's not too cold here LK. In the low 40s and Hambone was already wagging his tail for breakfast. So glad to see that ugly mutt!
Made Kel happy last night.. (not that way).. I turned the pc and the remote over to him and kissed the pillow early!!
Of course Betty, I'll pray for our Canadian sistahs too!! You and Susan have always been on my prayer list, just let me know who else need prayers. There are no limits to requests. I try not to do an 'envelope' prayer, unless I don't know the specifics.
So sorry Sistah Judy. Wish I'm close too as we have a Wet Vac! Hope the damage stems from the streets.
That's our Betty, she knows her tools!! Betty, you made me laugh when you suggested Susan gets an inflatable! Hehehe, next vacation, White Water Rapids?
Yikes, more work for you Susan! Hope you don't have to redo all your tiles. At least Bob has a tool to remove the grout.
How high is fuel cost in Canada? It's 3.10 per gallon here. Last week it was under $3.
And shall I continue with the party this morning?
Another box to reveal what hidden blessings someone deemed I should enjoy.
I've been noticing this beautiful Chinese floral print hat box sitting pretty in a corner. Wanted to open it, but there was no name.
Sistah Judy told me over the phone that it's from Barb.
Ahhh Barb... our resisdent beloved perfectionist. She had it tied with purple ribbon! Remembering I'm LSU fanatic!
Those hat boxes are made by Sarah's Hat Boxes in New Hampshire. I'll be checking if she has an online site.
My head starts spinning away.. still can't get over your generosity Barb.
See all these that she fit into the second box? Yep, she did!! She's a wizard at everything she does!! Hmm.. just like other sistahs here!
5 black and white FQs!!! Thank you Barb!! Quilters need blenders and b/w and ALL other colors!!
She included a box of glass head pins. I tend to be stingy with gifts from sistahs. Marion had given me a box of pins too, and Barb, along with yours, I won't use them till all my old pins are missing!!
I had to put my glasses on to read what's on the label of these bottles.
Barb, thank you. I've never used them before, nor have I seen them in any of the 3 quilt stores we have at the beach. "Mary Ellen's Best Press". Clear Starch Alternative.
Clear Scent, Caribbean Beach, Lavender Fields and Tea Rose Garden.
You know you got to explain how I could use them.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Barb.
Thank God, I can write these down, cause if spoken, I don't think I can collect my thoughts fast enough.
Love you Barb, and Norm too.
Charleen, Kel's claiming the cow head!!! Says he'll put it on his key chain!!
Jaye those are so nice! What a great idea opening one present a day.
Sue is Tim giving you grief? lol
Well back to work I go! Seems like I just left this place.
Sorry Susan that you will not be able to take advantage of the sale,
Jaye must tell you that the cross was made by my friend Darlene for you..she knows of dg friendship and when I said I was packing up your gift she gave it to me knowing your faith in the Lord..as would have it, Monday her husband Mike 56 had massive stroke and went to the Lord..if you could but hold the cross and say a prayer she would be most appreciative...will pass on to her how you love it..will bring a smile I am sure!
Jaye, you use the best press, as you would starch...spray on fabrics whenever pressing..,,doing seams for 1/2 sq triangles etc......let us know how you like it!!! keep thinking of buying some, I have heard it is fantastic. but I worry about the scents, smells tend to bother my asthma.
loverly gifts you are continuing to get!! Happy Jaye day!!! we love you ^_^
Morning everyone! Jaye, I love those gifts from Barb! She knew exactly what to get you!
Thunder there is one Best Press that is scentless. I never use water anymore - I buy this by the gallon and keep refilling these tiny bottles because it has the finest spray I have found on anything!!! It emits a very fine mist. And the scented ones are not heavy scents. They dissipate very quickly. I just love the lavender one. And the Summer Rain....
Jaye, I'm so glad I was able to make you smile. You have been sorely missed my friend. Enjoy the goodies...
And if you see something at Sarah's Hat Box that you like, let me know....
scentless!! I have not seen that one. where do you buy yours???
Betty, please send Darlene my love and deepest condolence. Mike's too young.. same age as me. :(
Prayers sent for her and her family, that the Lord gives peace that transcends all understanding.
Tell her too, that the cross rests on my night stand before I hit the bed. This morning, I slipped it on again, and will remove it only before baths and bed. The pendant is so warm and gives me comfort. A new sistah to love!!!
Oh Lord, did I go to that site, Barb! She has beautiful boxes.
http://www.sarahshatboxes.com/results.asp?Category=Oval
Thunder, Barb gave me one that says "Clear Scent". Well I got curious and found you can make it yourself. It uses Vodka!!
http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1/homemade-mary-ellens-best-press-t76846.html
2 cups distilled water
2 ounces vodka
20 drops lavender essential oil
No starch, as vodka already has starch from distilled potatoes.
Wow.. imagine that.. I can be drinking and pressing too! Lolol!!
Imagine me going to the ABC getting JD (for my colds), beer (for batter) and now Vodka for pressing!! I will definitely have to leave by the backdoor.
I can hear Neener snickering!!
Thank you again Barb. ^_^
Crissy, don't forget the bowl game tonight. I'll try to stay up for your Hogs. Go SEC!! Maul Kansas!
Such lovely pressies, Jaye!

Jaye, here is something for you to do this week-end! Wonder how far it is from you? Wish I was closer, I would stop by and pick you up, then we could both go!
PIIIIIIGGGGGG SOOOOOOOIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Jaye we have our evening planned around that game, Dave's not too interested but I could win $100 on it if my score guess is the closest and I didn't bet anything, this is straight up guessing and winning. The paper here said that kick off is 7:32 Central time, 8:32 your time.
