General Discussion & Chat: Today, I am thankful for...#11

That is just too weird. We walk right by that spot during our 5mi loop! I'm going to have to go look specifically for it to be sure but I really don't think its there any more... or at least it isn't marked in any way.

Thankful for Google - helps me categorize books for our church library using the Dewey Decimal system!
Kinda difficult to decide what category a book is, by it's title!

Today, I'm thankful for libraries that keep very old books. I found a beekeeping book from 1928. Most of the beekeeping information was outdated, but the honey recipes have all been incredible and I've seen them no where else. Tonight I made a honey cake that was exceptionally good.
Someone told me once that real love is when you remember a person's birthday 20 years after they are gone from your life. ~N~

Grateful that we found seven socks laying all over the house this morning. Finding the socks mean that our female cat is feeling better.

That's a long time to remember so it must be an important date to the person remembering.

Libraries are wonderous entities and I like them very much.

I am thankful this day for pre-made seven layer bean dip on clearance. :-) For BenGay. And, for lovely morning blooming surprises.

That honey cake had coffee in it. Kay and Nadi have been eating it and buzzing around all day. lol.
Today I'm thankful for the jacuzzi tub. It eases back pain when nothing else helps. (Jim)

Thankful for my job, and that I'm being kept busy at it today.
Thankful we have beautiful weather, and sunshine - feels like spring - not needing a coat at the end of the workday!
thankful I got all the labels done for our Church library - now to put them on the books LOL (and catalogue more books/videos/bibles!)

And I am also thankful for my job. And for the amazing day today! Was almost 60degF. The winter actinite & snow drops are blooming. Ah it feels like spring is right around the corner, not months away.

Today I am thankful for the responsible, strong willed older people I’ve always had in my life. They never stood by and just let me do very stupid things. Also, the older people who just let me hang with them…as long as I behave. :-) Thanks guys!
I REALLY worry about my generation sometimes. It has gotten so bad; “survival of the fittest” has got to start kicking in soon. I’ve been on sites today composed of people who probably range from about 17 to 30. Some of the comments worry me almost as much as the story we were discussing. We were talking about the news story on the 17-year-old who was hospitalized for anemia and heart problems. Doctors discovered she had been eating virtually nothing but chicken nuggets and French fries since she was two. I’m surprised she made it to 17! ~N~
