Happy to hear everyone had a nice Christmas. My sister bought me a Kindle Fire and a router and am in 7th heaven. Now to figure out how to use it. I don't know if I need another modem or not. I have one for my DSL, but don't think I can use that. I need a computer person. Not only can I read books, but can surf the web, etc. This Technology is just awsome.

Beautiful picture of you Jaye, hoping you will be feeling good very soon. I've never heard about the meds you are on, but when they told me anti-depressents can take 6 weeks to start working I honestly didn't believe I could wait that long. Just thank God they do have meds out there to help us.

Pegi, you do not need another router, your kindle should run off the router she gave you! Just plug it into your computer, and follow the prompts, they are pretty easy to set up.

Holy wow Jaye, know how you are feeling for sure..overwhelming isn't it!! Judy and the girls worked for months on sending me a 60th birthday party box..when it arrived, it was like they were all beside me, hey wait, they were..had a canvas painted with my back yard set up and photo's of each sitting at the table with me cutting a cake..highlight of my craft wall..

I'm sure hoping that I'll make it to the gathering in 2012! You all are putting a smile on my face today. I skipped exercise today. Boo me...but I did get an appointment with the SS office for Jan. 9th to sign up for benefits. When I start getting my SS check (hopefully in May since I turn 62 in Apr) we'll be so much better off financially. Then Bill turns 62 in Aug. So by Sept. our income will have more than doubled from this year. Sigh.....

Awe what a way to wake up!!

Thank you everyone, I printed that picture of you wearing your Prayer shawl and I love how you have it folded over for a collar!

The whole time I was piecing it together, I smiled about how it is with so much love these hands, sew together, craft together, chat, via typing together and yes even pray together...And, of course wrap around each other...The last thing I did was Wrap my arms around it before wrapping it.
And while DH consumed the computer last night, showed the kids and they just smiled!!

It's so funny, to the reaction of the Party in the Box receiver's...
Bear, ripped into her's on her 40th! I had it special delivered exactly on her Birthday. She too was going through a particularly hard time and so it was my thought since I couldn't be there to celebrate with her I created a party for her. Bear did not have a phone to call long distance so Mumma, called me to say how it made her day!!
LOL, Betty's I also had sent directly to her, lol back then she was ripping into her gifts from the US right on the spot at the post office, LOLOL...So, sent her's UPS too and it was delivered within only a few days, to my surprise...So knowing it was there alerted her and she set out searching her house for humungous box that was waiting by the front door!! And with Betty, she could not open hers until she had someone there to take photos!!
It has been a truly unique gift, and everyone who knows me, knows I beat to a different drum!! LOL, the simplest of things always turn into a giant party meant to be full of Lots of love and the only way I could think to bring us all together. Bear's I think I sent a picture of me, Betty's the canvas and now Sistah's Arm Wrap!!

So Thank You Sistah's all for sharing your Love on a daily basis not to just me but to each and every one!
With this party, I was again, able to meet a few new Sistah's and get to know others better and so it's with a great feeling We Celebrate one Fantastic Sistah and of Big Brudduh Kel...I love that photo of him in his Party hat and Lunch Box!!.

Oh what a special gift I received for Christmas, plus the answer to many, many prayers. I returned home from a great visit and Christmas Day with my Mom to see that Jaye has posted.!!! All if better with my world now!!!!!!!!!!! Missed you dear one.

I couldn't help but think of you and Kathy driving south as we were being passed (little speed demons they are) by LSU and Bama cars. Each one trying to out do the other with school emblems. Can I play it safe and say "Roll Tigers"? Hummm, maybe I just shouldn't say anything.......

Susan, I hope you visit with your family is good--seems we all have situations similar in our families. It truly if hard when there are so few left ...

To those that wonder where I was yesterday and most of today..
I spent some time with sister Carolyn. She took a week off, and invited me to sleep over, as her DH went hunting and Kel worked last night.
Yes, I brought the binder and the wrap, and she was all the time saying "Praise the Lord"!! She got teary eyed when she traced your hands. Makes me feel so special.
Sistahs, 10 years of living here, and she's the ONLY friend I have.
She cooked and baked and we cracked pecans as we chatted about everything under the sky, and pored over biblical passages!
WIth a wood burning stove,the ambience was truly nice and ole timey.
Music played in the background right up till bedtime. She's not pc savvy and with the tv off, it was truly a bonding period.

Kel picked me up this afternoon, surprised him when I told him that I didn't miss him at all!!

I'll be back to normal tomorrow and take more pics.

Sistah's, I Need more prayers please? Heather is back in the hospital with an upper respiratory infection, and the baby is not getting enough oxygen, so they have her on oxygen, as well as antibiotics. My friend Katie, got a phone call from her Dr. a little while ago, and told her she needs to start chemo in a few weeks, as they did not get all the cancer. It was not contained in her uterus like he thought.
Marion, glad to see your back home.

Judy, we were very fortunate to have had a really good day on Christmas as the next 2 days she was sleeping more and taking meds for pain. She has a bad rash on her backside caused from the inability to move. Nothing much can be done but roll her every few hours from side to side and give pain meds. I will say she is a fighter!!

Trying to get my chores done early today so I can watch the game tonight. No watching football when I am at my sister's home.

Back to the cleaning issue as Charles and family will be returning from the game in Orlando and the girls will be wanting "Christmas with Grandma and Kimmy". Yeap, they call her Kimmy and the only ones living who can get away with it. LOL

Hi Everyone!

Jaye lol no we're not going to Memphis, why do that when Hot Springs National Park is 20 minutes from the house and we know everyone! There is so much more to do in Hot Springs than Memphis ever thought about. Yeah, Memphis is fun for the first time or two, but after that it's the same thing, Hot Springs is always changing and there are soo many things to do there, Gangster Museum, Duck Tours of the city, Wax Museum, antique walks downtown, tons of old tyme shops, parties, it's in Ouachita National Forest so it's hilly, there's a beautiful mountain that overlooks the whole state complete with a viewing tower and museum, trails to walk, lots of hot springs with beauty spas that use the natural hot springs water for their hot water, Memphis doesn't hold a candle.

Jaye look at all those goodies!!! I have to say that I have one friend here in AR, it's hard making friends after you move far away from your other friends. Oh well, it's quality I'm looking for, not quantity.

Sue hope you get over that bug, I've had a really bad cold all week but I'm too busy at work to take any time off, so Monday I came in with my head completely plugged up and a small fever, probably 1/2 to 1 degree higher than normal, just enough to make me feel yucky, Tuesday was a little better but the fever was still with me, Wednesday the fever was gone but I was the National Snot Factory, yesterday was A LOT better, no fever and not nearly as stuffed up, and today is the same as yesterday except I have a headache, I took some aspirin but it didn't do much good. Just as long as I'm better tomorrow night I really don't care.

Well I'm going to get back working here,

I'm back - uneventful flight there and back.
Fabulous to see my Mom, DD & DSIL, 2 sisters and their DHs.
Wonderful visit with 2 friends also.
DD did a great dinner last night - 2 kinds of lasagna. 2 kinds of cake (chocolate & cheesecake), salad, etc.
Got pics of family, and friends.
Going to have a nap now... very tired - 2 hrs sleep last night, and can't sleep on the plane...will post some pics later

LOL, DH and I finally had chance to talk...usually he comes home,showers,eats and out like a light..sooo, I was just a chattering away about Sistah opening her Party in a box, my dream and and this and that, ROFLOL, bet he won't ask how my day was for a while!!

Well anyway, think I'm going to go and find something to sink my hands into

...ROFLOL, was going through a junk drawer, funny, the things I save, one was a b-day card...On front it has this mouse or something sitting on a comfy chair..It says When they made you. They broke the mold! open card, it says Rumor has it the beat the h*&^( out of the mold maker too....Happy Birthday.)
