§Sweet Interruptions 228§

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ah! I understand Susan, thanks for that explanation!

Nami is a good looking gal!

We're supposed to get some rain today, hopefully it's more than what they're anticipating!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Crissy, how is Dave doing with the new job?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

He's loving it, he took his forklift test the other day so I guess he's certified to drive a forklift now, his job doesn't really require it, he's more into the buying the products, but you never know when you're going to have to jump on a forklift and get something yourself because no one else is there to help you.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

for sure, Crissy! Bob got his forklift certification a few months ago, and we're hoping it helps him get a job... mind you, he's not working at looking for one... I gather he's hoping one will fall into his lap.... and I guess I'm doing the same thing. We've put out resumes, but none lately. We're not getting the email notifications of jobs we used to get, and I'm so busy with the church and Jackie's office that I guess I put it on the back burner. I'm doing pretty well on EI, but I don't know when Bob's ends...... ?!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

just passing threw! hi everyone. today is my anniversary so gots to get cooking

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good to see you my dear!! Happy Anniversary and many more---ah, aren't they suppose to take you out for dinner tonight?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

we are going away for 4 days next week. then i'll have lots of dinners. just baked my grammies chocolate cake. can't wait to eat it. how have you been?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Running up and now the Interstate going to see/help with my Mom. Otherwise, trying to get this place back in order after having been gone 9 months of last year. It is overwhelming.

How are things with you? Are you taking good care of yourself? Honest answer now. LOL

Eat a slice of the cake for me---I love chocolate cake!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

taking care of me, hubby, daughter, grandson, and brother in law. i am exhausted. oh yeah, forgot about the 14 guineas and peacocks

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Now why does that sound like the normal Kathy to me? Just don't forget yourself please.

Back to the kitchen, my DIL is out of town and son is coming tonight for dinner, requires cooking a "tad' extra.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

send me some. i do think of myself, hence the cake

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Sis! How ya doing? Love the sounds of that cake!

crissy so glad Dave likes his new job. forklifts are fun !
LOL on the cook books. i have been collecting them since i was 23. yes .... i need to control ....... but i can't ... warn the others !!!
the cig's are a thing with me since she is on food stamps also.... so it really is embarrising when she uses her food stamps for her food , then her SSI for her cigs . I told her to check it down a notch and get the cheaper ones ! but i just walk away. Or i would go to jail....... :P

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Waving to all.. sis Kathy.. Happy Anniversary. Glad to see you return, and before the Bama LSU showdown :D

Susan, those chargers sure are pretty. Was thinking I don't see them around at the Dollar Store here.

Crissy, you must be relieved that Dave is gainfully employed. PTL.

Barb, as usual, one industrious lady, and for charity too! Awesome! Can you show us pics of the placemats?

Marion, how many days of rain now? I'm glad you're not on the road making that journey to your mum's.
Have you made any progress with your 'fabric' organizing?

Hey LK!!! I told Kel about Stubbs, and he says to freeze dry some for him and send them over!!! He's still amaze at that good BBQ in Dallas.

It stopped raining here, but supposed to start again tomorrow.

Got a tad of stomach flu that leaves me weak. Could be the hamburger that did it. It's greasy after all.
A reminder, it's Power Prayer night sistahs.
We all sure could use a helping hand from the Lord.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Happy Anniversary, Kitty! Yours is 2 days after mine - how about that?!
How many years is it?

Jaye, I was so pleased when Bob brought these chargers home - he called to ask if I wanted Fall themed ones or gold ones. I wanted the gold ones as they can be used for all year.

Well, just got home from the United Church Women's meeting, and I'm hosting next months on Nov 9th! I plan on having a full "English Tea" with china cups, scones, strawberry jam, and Devonshire cream - I so love to do things like this and don't get much opportunity! These are ladies who will appreciate the "finer things" and gives me an opportunity to show off my tea cup/pot collection!! What fun!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, I'm coming for home made scones.
I miss tea in Singapore!! Yes, we inherited that 'tradition' from the British colonial days... but we kinda adapted it to the Asian way.
@4, Singapore homes will be serving fried savories like curry puff pastries, banana fritters or fish crackers along with our tea. Once in a while, mum would bake scones, served with jams. It's a very rare treat when she decided to take her time in fixing a good Dundee cake and it's not at Christmas either!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, Jaye's coming to Calgary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I promise, if you do, to make it even MORE special Just For You, Missy Jaye! siiiiiiiiiiigh if only it were true, and you could come to visit. I'm sure neither of us would be "hugged-out".........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, I know you'll be the perfect hostess!!!
One day we'll meet!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Yes........ one day, God Willing.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Nice and cool here this morning! Coffee is ready.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Afternoon sis! Yes I just woke up .. need that coffee.
Went to bed at 5... instead of early as I had planned.
A cousin was in distress, and we had a long chat on FB. Her dad (my uncle) never attempted to get his kids to know their relatives. I did the best I could explaining who's who and the whys.
When you have kids, it's important to know who your relatives are.
Poor child didn't even know that her paternal grandfather had brothers and his wife had a sister who's adopted by the same Arabs.

Aircondition is running here.. so LK.. are you sure you're in Tx?

It's not raining, that means bringing in more pots.. Oh well. at least I won't be struggling with cats!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yep, I am in Texas... Almost Mexico! Don't work too hard on bringing in the pots!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

been married 10 looong years. got up and its only 44 degrees. brrrr.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh that 44 sounds so good--send me some. Congrats on the 10 years my dear.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Brrr, that does sound cool. It was 58 when we got up at 5:00.
How about some Baileys for the coffee? That will warm ya up!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

me, me, me

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

HAppy Anniversary Sis Kathy and LSU TIGER Michael!! Hehehe.. got to rub that in!!
Sis Kathy, you need to get on our Facebook group!! You're among the first that were added, but you haven't graced your beautiful self on it!

Airconditioner is still running here. Don't understand the heat in this area. But it's a tolerable low 80s so.. the rain will bring it down more.
I'm walking around the house in shorts and sleeveless tees!

Thanks for coffee LK, minus the Bailey's. I'm still sticking to molasses.
My blood sugar is much lower than usual and I've been regular since taking molasses.

Sue.. it's Friday!! Possibility of rest this weekend?

Cookie, hope you're okay. Prayers continue for you and your dad sweetie. Miss you.

Crissy, have fun at work!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Kathy - we've been married 13 years and you 10 years, and only 2 days apart!! Guess we're still the "newly weds" eh? lol

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm cautious about celebrating our anniversary.
Truth be told, I truly don't know how long I can hang on to this marriage. I don't have any children with Kel to think about working it out.
I won't make him choose.... for as long as God is holding me up.. I'll be okay for now.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hang in there Jaye. (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))

Todd and I will be married 13 years 1 January.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm trying my very best LK.
All the prayers have kept our relationship afloat. Thanks.

Lots of love go into those 13 years, LK.

Good night sistahs!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

26 years here Jaye and I know you can do it. I'm keeping you close in prayer my friend.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Doubling the prayers Jaye. Had 44 yr. and wish I had had more--would have been 51 this past August.

Glorious Saturday everyone--cool, crisp outside. Going to work outside for a little while, then watch the FSU /Duke game and hope the Noles show up for this one. LOL

((((jaye))))))
just a quick stop in
sending all my T&P to you all
hugs
sue
