Dang Susie wish I was closer. Made one batch of pear butter so far, but haven't managed to get more pears yet.

My yard is a total disaster area right now. Trying to get everything ready for the big migration back inside. Been at it for 3 days now and still not ready yet. Methinks I have too many plants. ;0)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Susie as usual you have beautiful blooms. I'm another one who has to think about cutting back and spraying patio plants for the trip back inside to the Sun Room. Sure wish I could leave them out. Makes the Sun Room look like a jungle.
Angels everyone! I finally have beautiful blooms. I have 5 more Angels that are hanging with blooming buds.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Isn't it kind of late in the year for them to bloom? They sure are pretty!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

none of my dl's are re-blooming, but boy those are sure pretty. Oh Faye, u lucky lucky girl to have brug blooms.. I am just now getting buds on a few..

my sweet autumn clematis got chopped back by the neighbors when they cleared the fence this summer, but the part on my side climbed right up the tree they didn't cut down and is blooming away.. smells so good. Went out and sprayed for whiteflys tonight... watched them all drop too, used neem and soap and listerine and ammonia and a high powered mister.. poor brug Elizabeth has been munched on so bad she is a skeleton now so squished the worm and will pull her out of the ground to start over in a pot inside, poor thing. I do love whites so much, hope she comes out of it.

Hello dear people, my newest project is getting there. All the Granite is in place and ready for the small white pea gravel to fill in between the Granite pieces.
Taking Granite out of the car trunk is really hard on this old back, especially if the trunk is as deep as on Ray's car. LOL yes, he let me use his Lincoln to haul the nasty (wet sometimes) heavy Granite. After the first load, I just backed the car up and placed as I unloaded. The first load was unloaded in the back yard, so it was the last load to be moved here (driveway side)

I sprayed with round-up this morning to kill the grass between the pieces of Granite. I know the books say to get rid of the grass, level ground, spread sand etc. Well this is not a usable patio. It is for decoration only. Should not walk on Granite, the stuff is slippery. LOL Hope if anyone tries to steal the furniture that will be there, they will really find out just how slippery it is. They also will be surprised when the table and chairs won't move. There will be just enough cement on the bottoms to hold them to the Granite. (Remember, someone stole the original chairs)
This view will show where the table & chairs will be. Actually got another load of Granite today and filled in some of the larger spaces you see in this picture.

This Granite is scrap that was headed for the landfill. We were told to get all we want so they wouldn't have to pay by the lb. to get rid of it. We have made 6 to 8 trips because we're using the car to haul it. Come on with your trailer Susie, I'll help you load it!
the patio is on the right as you enter the driveway.

Last load! Now the pea gravel.

Changing the subject!
Hyacinth Bean Vine. Do you have it? Do you want it?
I have it and love it. Here's proof from least to best. Sorry, it will be 4 pics.

Now this one came up from a seed dropped last year. At the time I planned on moving it but never got around to finding another place. It was left to do whatever it wanted, and by gosh, it wanted the entire space. Just spread out to cover a large area and is so pretty. Pic. doesn't show how pretty it really is.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

This one I love and wish it would stay all year.

LOL, This one is watered so often it's climbing the house top. The arbor is the entrance to the outside shower.

Will leave you alone for awhile, and go arrange furniture on the Granite Patio.
Love & Hugs
Faye

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Faye, someone stole your patio furniture? Sorry to hear that.

Susie, you are moving out of your house into your plant house?
