Judy, for the most part...no school worries. Shane is taking on line college courses, books are being shipped to the house. Shannon started back to classes last night, she is pretty much on her own with that. Two at the campus, two on line I think. Plus she has work I found myself in the school supplies isle at Walmart...having withdrawls. I actually picked up a box of crayola crayons and took a wiff....I miss that smell. lol

Mary Dave doesn't have the job yet, he hasn't been hired. He had an interview this morning and really likes the company and they liked him, I'm fighting him big time, he has to go to California!!! Ladies please tell whoever will listen that he HAS to get that job in CA because he HAS to go!!! I NEED space so bad I can't stand it and I almost have it!!! He said he's all broke out in hives because of the stress of possibly going to CA.

Praying for you and Dave, Crissy!! Tell him to drink buttermilk - that will get rid of the hives LOL (I don't know if it will, but it will change his focus and maybe it will - Then he can go to CA with clear skin!) LOL

Well, I have some painting to do on my neighbour's bathroom (they're trying to help out, financially - how sweet of them, eh?)

I just read there was a big earthquake on the east coast, even the white house was evacuated. It was felt from New York to the Carolina's.

Yes 5.9 OH MY GOD I have never felt anything like that before. Got in the car and went a picked kids up from school. I am still shaking.

My boys were home alone, and they felt it. Nate thought he was swaying because he was sick. LOL Shane said the light that hangs from ceiling in front hall was swaying "it was cool".

Earthquakes make me puke, and I have to tell you there ARE aftershocks with almost every earthquake. 5.9 is moderate, not huge, nothing to be alarmed about, take it from a CA chick!

Ok may not be huge for a CA chick but for this hillbillie it was BIG. I cannot imagine living through a BIG one. I would need meds.

Since you said you are in need of therapy, my idea would be...fly/drive and visit each and everyone of us...you can lay down on our sofas/couch and we shall listen to you and give you hugs!!! And of course we would not charge you anything for it, because you visiting with us would be pay enough!!!

It was 102F the other day, after humidex factored in...... but that was rather hot for us.
Bring your shorts and t-shirts, plus blankies and parkas!! j/k - don't know when you'd arrive, but the temp in Calgary can change 20c from morning to late afternoon - wear a parka in the morning, going to work, and need only shorts and t-shirt coming home at suppertime! 'struth!!!

Now I'm worried.... Debbie will try to bring all the starving unwanted moosies back home with her....

That is IF she makes it home with Crissy driving and Betty navigating LOL.....

Better idea .... Crissy - go pick Susan and everyone up and bring them to Louisiana... and I'll heat up the hot tub (cuz it will be winter by the time ya'll get here) and make Hurricanes .... then we'll all tell Debbie our troubles (and THEN some ....those hurricanes are Strong !) .....and she will fix them.

The Safelite guy came by this morning and cleaned up broken glass, got the new passenger window. Then ran to Target. Felt funny going in to buy a purse and wallet and getting cash without bringing in any of the above.....

Tomorrow I'll try to get my drivers license. Turns out the robber did charge $100 in gas to my card but I will get reimbursed by my bank for that.

Laura - hope you figure out what's troubling the little one..... Can't wait to see pictures Betty !

Mary, you know me so well! I would indeed try to bring them all into the yard...so I could save them.

I was out talking to the birds tonight...and I had a few come and chat. Izzy just sits there looking at them...doesn't bother them at all. Then the neighbors Beagle...Lucy...got loose, so we had to take her back over and put her collar back on. One of the kids must have put her out and not tigthened it enough and she backed out.

DHs surgery is tomorrow....we have to be at the center at 10:00...surgery probably around 11:00.

I am at such a loss for words right now, and bursting of anger, sadness and just complete and utter dismay.

We just learned yesterday, The girlfriend, who gave CPR to Brian, was Brutally Raped, yesterday!!...
This is just unbelievable...Rage is just coarsing through my veins. I am trying so hard to
be objective on all levels of stories..I don't know but it sure seems big holes in what has been told.

I am still trying to figure out all that has happened, but, trying to piece together all of this.
Right now I am sorry to be repeating and or seeming out of it..Is because I can't even think straight...

Dear Lord....... give the assaulted woman peace in her hurtful state.... We pray for her as she has suffered much, and she is one of your angels who helped Brian in his hour of need. Bless those around her with the wisdom to see her through this. Help her sleep so she may heal. She has lost her beloved Brian, and now has been grievously injured. Her soul must be in such pain. Please, please help her. Dear Lord, in your name and your beloved Son Jesus, we ask this. Amen.

Today, more crafts and sightseeing, busy da ahead..waiting to see what the weater is like before deciding what to do..
