I am SO SORRY for your loss

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

My heart is breaking for your loss. I fully understand your pain, and am praying for you and your family.

South Hamilton, MA

Oh so sorry. It is so difficult to lose a pet who has been a companion for so long. At least he has no more pain.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So sorry.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Oh no! Bone cancer - I know that you didn't see that coming. RIP, Robs. Marilyn {{{hugs}}}

What happen to Jo's cat Ben?? Did I miss something?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Think I missed that too!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

The news about Jo's cat was on the last thread. Your condolences are there, Victor. I'm trying hard to catch up on the threads, and did not see that Marilyn had mentioned her loss of Robin, so I'm going to edit my comment above about that. Very sad times for many of us.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

OK, I just re-read it...was NOT Ben, but Angel her DD's cat that lived with them. I am sorry I didn't see that earlier, my condolences for your family Jo.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

so sorry RD... hugs and prayers to you!!!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I read that she lost Ben earlier in the thread - unless i dreamed it? Always possible!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I found the post about Jo's loss of Ben. It's in #15 of the pet forums. Marilyn mentioned it around the middle of August. I don't think I read it wrong, but maybe I did. Below it is the mention of the loss of her DD's Angel.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I did see that, and commented and remember looking at Romeo after reading it. Geez, im going senile....the good news is Victor is w/me.

So many people have lost pets this year, my heart aches for them. :(

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Please add my condolences to all who lost a pet this year. I can see from Robs' picture that he was a sweet pooch. They give us so much love and loyalty and ask very little from us in return.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh, Marilyn, I'm so sorry for your loss! That is so sad and so sudden! My sincere condolences.

I have to admit I had forgotten about Jo's DD's cat. I had to go look for the post and found that I did offer my condolences. I was looking and looking and saw that Jo has not posted anything in the NE pets forum in the last thread. I kept looking for a post from her, then re-read your post, Louise, saying that Marilyn had mentioned it, not Jo herself. Duh!

Anyhow, this is a sad day for you Marilyn. I'm very sorry to hear about poor Robs.

Thank you all so much for your sympathy & support.....Yes, Jo did lose Ben & was very upset when I visited her in Aug. My niece had just lost her coon cat, Smudge, & she & her DH were grieving...while I was visiting Jo, her DD's cat, Angel, sat with us...a pretty grey with a pink collar....when I got home, there was a message from Jo saying that the next day after our visit, Angel suffered a blood clot & had to be put to rest....Losing Robin was just a terrible shock to me....the house is just so quiet without him....airedales are a breed apart....they are scamps their whole life....but, he certainly made me laugh more than any other dog I had! Thank you all so much for caring.....

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Sorry for your loos, RD. I'm glad he'll be keeping Doug company, however.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I was thinking the same thing, Celeste. Too many pets have left their loving families this year. We were among the fortunate ones not to have lost little Bailey last September when she had her poison episode. Sending hugs to Dave, Jo and Marilyn - among others who are still in need of a hug.

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Thank you so much, DonnieBrook. When I read RobindDog's post about losing her pet, I immediately burst into tears and sobbed for several minutes. I know that pain and felt hers as well. May we all take comfort in knowing we gave and are giving our pets loving homes.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks Lucy & Louise.....You're right, Dave....this airedale had 3 homes before ours, & he was only 17 months old when we rescued him.....I'm glad I had him to the end...

Marilyn, I just realized that Robs had your DG name. I do that sometimes, too about my pets. I hope you have happy memories of your wonderful scamp whenever you use the Robindog name.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

"she was well cared for" translation someone stole her and brought her to NY

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

yep. Another urban legend.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh dear! Holly and Ric - i am so sorry for your loss of Buddy. There is just too much sadness for so many of our DG friends. It breaks my heart. We all know how much you are all hurting, and I so hope that today you experience some comfort and some unexpected bright spots to cheer you a bit. Hugs to you all.
Louise
