O Celeste, that is such a cute shot. I love seeing them rest for a moment.
Nice shots, everyone! I've been absent from this thread for awhile and missed a lot. Had few problems here from the storm. Some large branches down and a lot of little, messy twigs all over. We did some clean-up work today and had a campfire. We lost power for several hours yesterday, but came back on around 6:30. I did an overnight, and she had her power off since noon yesterday and was still without power this morning when I left at 8:30 a.m. Many are still without power. There are about 200 or so trucks from a power company in Detroit coming over here to help out. This was worse than most nor'easters for us!
Here are some pics from today.

Helenium
Here's something I'm thrilled and tickled to death about. Brugmansia, my first to bloom. I got 4 from a good friend last year, mature plants. Only one has buds so far. I also got a crinum lily from her. 2 of the brugs I overwintered in my cellar, along with the crinum lily. 2 brugs overwintered in my porch. The ones that were in the cellar are doing better than the ones that were in the porch.

Pixie that Hummer is just lovely. As my flowers fade and receede I will see less of the hummers.
very pretty Karen
Love the brugs Karen!!
Thank Jo!
Love the bee
I broke out into a heart belly laugh a few minutes later when it tried to fly. It made it out of the flower and promptly had to grab the nearest stalk to hang on to. It couldn't fly it was so ladden with pollen. Hard to believe theres a bee under all that yellow !!!! Check out the stalks, only yellow where it grab on.
