lots of blooms there karen - looks great
Jen I just love that Ruby Slippers! Great shot of the HB Moth and your very welcome. :)
Beautiful as always Bill, that second 'washed out' photo is a stunner!
Thanks Karen. :) Your Red Shift is really nice, I was eyeing one this summer and am now sorry I didn't grab it!
Your planters look wonderful too!
Karen all your flowers are beautiful! That Real Wind really catches my eye. Very pretty. Yes the Lobster compost uses lobster shells. It has other stuff in it too but I can't remember what. I usually use the bags from HD or Lowes that say coposted manure. They are much less expensive, but I have just spread them around the tops of beds and it doesn't look very rich after the sun hits it for a few days. I'm beginning to wonder if they are a rip off. It almost looks like sand with wood chunks in it once it sits there drying out for a bit. If that stuff isn't that good it would explain why my soil never seems better even after lots of amending.
i agree on the bags from hd/lowes - sounds like you got that lobstah stuff for coast of maine?
Yup that's the stuff. I was at Lake street garden center today and they had something called cow doo compost. I picked up a bag.
Wow that is gorgeous!
Thanks Meredith, you can see why Karen & I keep it in our garden. :)
very pretty
Well at least you can recognize it again.
Thats stinks. :(
In 2009 when Lowe's had some native bulbs for sale I bought a few. They were extremely small bublets of various plants, Trillium, Mayapple, Hepatica, and Turks Cap Lily. I really didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised.
This year I noticed the foliage on the mayapple came up, got blooms on the white trillium, and yesterday noticed the Turks Caps were blooming!! ^_^
It pays to take a chance.
Robindog is comming for a visit this afternoon.
Oh, have a good visit!!
