Garden Photos # 16

Thomaston, CT

Really love the color of that apricot HH, Pixie....and Jo, those are great BB lilies! Mine are short this year, fading away I guess....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

maybe the smell of apples was left behind???.. LOL

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Very nice Celeste! I really like the strange colored HH. If they sold them in just that color I'd probably buy them!
Joann Love your pic too. I moved my Rubrum Lilies this year in spring so I don't think they will bloom very well if at all this year. I had procastinated too long and decided to sacrifice this years blooms so they'd finally be in the right place.

NICE Celeste, love that peachy HH

I finally weeded out the southside garden, & I found the passiflora I planted last year....can't believe it survived, but it probably won't flower......

That's exciting that you found your Passi. I tried one before and it did make it a couple winters here but evry year it came back smaller. Then it didn't come back at all. Never flowered. You probably have much milder winters there so hopefully it will do well!

I can't get over that Lily!

My Old Yella Hibiscus started blooming this morning.

Celeste, I loved your shot looking off your back deck! Gorgeous! You have some gorgeous phlox, too. I love them! I must get more. Loved the pic of your bright phlox with the lily and the BES. And I love 'Stack The Deck' and 'Indy Long Legs'.

Meredith, that's the one I get. Maybe I'll try the granules next time. That does sound easier. Love those white lilies!

Allison, I love all your planters and the caladiums. Lots of color there. Your whacked out double sweetheart is gorgeous!

Jen, I love all your butterfly shots.

thank you Karen... the crazy lily is growing on me

Thomaston, CT

It's great, Allison, very different looking! Meredith, It's warmer here, but I doubt it's warm enough for that Passiflora...it's on the south side garage wall...total sun all day, but I think it needs more rain!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks Karen! :) This is the first year in a while I actually kept the Lily Beetles from ruining them!

Lots of Coneflowers this year!

I put a bunch of annual seeds down around the first day of summer (a little late) and the cosmos and some Tall Verbena are blooming now.

pretty!!.. never grew tall verbena

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks if you want I could send you some seeds. They are really easy and I probably would have more if I sowed them earlier. They seem to germinate better when it still gets cool at night. Late March early April, I've wintersowed them and started them inside but they are easy anyway. :) I get a few reseeders here and there. Butterflies love them too.

They make a nice combination.

Funky lily Allison!

Pretty Meredith! Thats is one massive clump of coneflowers!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice, Meredith. I have grown the tall verbena before. I love it. I had gotten some already started, and it reseeded for a couple of years, but I didn't seem to get any coming up this year.

This is looking down the SW side of the house....anyone notice the monster geranium? It comes out onto the lawn....it got a haircut by the mower right after this picture was taken.
