Thanks again nettie. This is a pic of my finger when they got it all stitched up. Of course, it is the middle finger so when I have my splint in it looks like I am flipping everyone off. LOL I'm getting better at typing without using that finger. tee hee

Ouch! That looks sore.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Sunny with little puffy clouds. Cooler though only about 50 degrees, we're wearing sweaters today. Feels like fall is on the way. Thanks for all your concerns and prayers.

My purple coneflower grown with seeds from DG's Newbie pack. This is my first successful try at winter sowing, last years got completely washed out in the Spring. This one's now about 2' high and spreading.

Happy Sunday everyone. Going to piddle around the house today and do a few things outside. I have been seed collecting and am planning to make an Echinacea bed. I am going to run a wire fence and have Clematis growing on it with Echies along the front. Its in full sun/part shade so it should do well. Have a good day everyone!

I think we were talking about echinacea, also known as coneflowers. They seem to be growing well here, too.

Regardless of what you hear, the flood areas are well east of us in Binghampton and Johnson City. We've got plenty of rain but so far the dikes are holding up. Garden is growing great.

We're going to Corning today to meet up with son Richie and new girlfriend for dinner out at Longhorn's.

Have a great weekend all!
