Monday's aren't good days to do any projects because once I've been to the thrift store, now that is a MUST, and stop to get milk, etc. at the store I'm so tired I can hardly move around. Did manage to water my garden and a few plants. Looks like I may have some brug blooms and plumeria plants are looking fine.

Got a notice for jury duty today, well those days of serving are over. I used to like to serve on the jury when I was a lot younger. Those days you sat in a jury room for 10 days. They alwalys want me to serve in Los Angeles, which is something I refuse to do. When I tell them my age I think they will understand. LOL

LK, man gf sorry to hear about your brother. My brother and I got into a fight one time. He hit me on the side of the head (and he had lots biker rings on) and held me down and was chocking me. If I hadn't of called out to my daughter to go to the neighbors and call the cops I probably wouldn't be here today. We did not speak for over a year. I would not be with in 100 ft of him. My mom told me to quit and I told her not until he says he's sorry. She always and still does stick up for him. That is one reason I don't get along well with my mom. She said when i was born I looked like a monkey, but my brother was the most BEAUTIFUL baby. Anyhoo enough of that soapbox.

I have been at my mom's since the 6th, but came home on the 15th because I missed Doug and my puppy. But I am going back today and will be there until the 24th, mom comes home the 25th.

Being at my mom's and being in my gardens, then coming here and seeing this bare yard I decided to get busy and pull weeds and plant some flowers. I do have some glads that have bloomed. I picked up mixed bags at the $ Tree, wow what pretty colors I got. There is this one corner that is over grown with mint, so I decided to clean it up a bit. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the more I pulled the more I discovered what was hidden under the mint. There are some calla lilies,cannas and this HUGE aloe vera.

Cindy, that is a huge aloe! Is that all from one pot?

Doug's gramma had sat the plant pot and all and just forgot about it. After I got that huge sucker out I then cleaned the rest of the corner and planted 2 Angel Trumpets, Passion Flower, replanted the calla lilies and some aloe vera.

The Angel Trumpets I had at mom's and thought that they were dead, lol. Imagine my surprise when I saw green buds on them. I brought them here and have been babying them with MG. Boy are they happy now ^_^. Of course I don't know which ones they are. So another surprise awaits me when they bloom.

Here is a pic of finished corner. Come next spring I will plant some more flowers. Today I am going to work on the other side of the house in another corner and finish transplanting the aloe.

Yup LK, I had to cut the pot off because there were so many roots grown thru the holes.

Cindy, you have been so busy and the results are looking so nice. I need to get out and pull weeds, etc. I wondered if the bulbs you buy at the $1 store really did grow. Each year I keep telling myself I'm going to have Hollyhocks, but so far that hasn't happened.

My keyboard is typing wrong again. LOL

abuse is not okay... any form of abuse. I was also an abused wife, the sad thing was, I was raised to be submissive. I watched my father verbally abuse my mother, he can't use his hands living with in-laws, and he committed unholy liasons with other women.
Mum took all the humiliations and I was told that that's part of a wife's duty.
Ex was a drunk, and I was his punching bag. Took it for years, until the day he dragged me by the roots of my hair in front of a friend's house. That was when everything changed.
If not for my American born friend telling me that I don't have to accept the abuse, I won't be here. We'd been married for 25 years. Hell for the last 20 :(
Thank God, ex found Jesus... went to AA and had been sober.

LK, I am sooooo glad that you and Todd are okay. You said you went to town, so Todd was home when they tried to break in?
Wow.. thank God they didn't succeed. Any way of installing an alarm system? That might deter future break ins? But then, thieves are so brazen nowadays.

Yes, now I have severe headaches, may be due to the heat or my bp meds quit being affective. Got to return to the doc, for I think the meds don't work for the bronchitis either.

Jaye, Todd was at a work. No one was here, but the cop said I may have come and scared him off before he got in to take anything! Now that really scared me to think he was in the house when I got home!
Needless to say, any small noise kept us both awake last night.

It's funny (but not funny) how things happen in a blink of an eye. Yesterday morning I was outside going to plant the rest of the aloe by 3 pm I was moved out!! Doug and I got in a huge fight and he told me to pack my stuff and get out. So I did. I'm done with men. All I've gotten is my heart broken over and over in the last 6 years.

May not be on very much for awhile, need to get better internet service here.....again and get mu stuff put away before my mom returns. At least I know my mom will be happy.

Please say prayers for my family? My Sister in law, moved to Michigan, to get away from my Brother. He was released from Jail on Monday, but he was told not to contact the family in any way. Well, just a few minutes ago, he went to his house where his daughter is living, and asked to use her phone to call me. He wants me to send him money so he can get to Michigan, even though he knows he is not to leave Colorado. I have called the police there, and explained the situation, and am waiting on the reporting officer to call me back.
No I am not sending him money. He is really desperate, and I don't know what he is capable of doing.

oh, LK - so good of you to contact the police when you Know your brother is trying to break the law and already contacted his daughter and about to leave Colorado....... Thank God for your common sense - your SIL is safer for people like yourself! Smart not to give him $$!!

LK I'm with you in thinking that the near break in the other day was connected with your brother, you live so close to the border and I've been watching those new border patrol shows lately and there is so much crime with the illegals coming into this country it's unreal.
