Sports Talk!! Part 7

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i hope san fran beats up on the gents - i am pulling for the ravens - as much as i do not like to admit the pat's look like SB champs after GB went down

South Hamilton, MA

The punt was used so there was not a chance for an nterseption. A good way to get the ball away from your end of the field.

I was very disappointed in the Packers loss. but you can't win games if you keep dropping the ball. Take lessons from 36 yr old Donald Driver about securing the football.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Drops and turnovers killed them. And they got blessed with two gift calls, both of which resulted in TDs. They were actually much worse than the score showed.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ali turns 70 tomorrow. Wow.

Thomaston, CT

Time flies! Uconn girls had a blowout win against NC last night.....hard to watch .....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm a Niners fan or else I would have been rooting for the Giants...not gonna be pretty in our house

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How did become a Niners fan? Liked Joe Montana?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

YEP!!!!!

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

My dad was a Giant fan and had season tickets (about 55 years ago). He would take my friends and I to the games and zip us up in sleeping bags which worked very well. Probably couldn't carry one into the stadium now. My son and grandsons are Green Bay fans. Each one of my grandsons get taken to Lambau on their 6th birthday. We never watch the games with them and were reluctant to call the house for days after their last game.

This one is now 21 years old

This was the same kid last year

Probably said to the players what I said when they dropped the balls, Only 6 fumbles all year & they messed up the playoff game.

Thomaston, CT

Handsome boy, Roses!

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Robin. Iris, they may even have trashed the TV!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Rooting for the Ravens and 49ers, but think it will be Pats and Giants.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

routing for the same

Thomaston, CT

Am hoping the Giants pull one out....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Daughter is rooting for the "purple" team...LOL
of course I'm rooting against the Pats
Niners fan but if the Giants were playing ANYONE else I would be rooting for the Giants

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Looks like Flacco is getting his groove back.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh. After that incredible TD strip, I actually thought he would miss the FG.

Thomaston, CT

What a bizarre ending to the Pats game!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Exciting game. Good defense on both sides. Mistakes always haunt you. That guy Williams should be on suicide watch!

South Hamilton, MA

good year for the SF Q back however. He had to take so much flack about being useless during the last couple years.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, he helped turn the team around.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

both good games

Thomaston, CT

Yep...I love close games, runaways are too boring....

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

I thought I'd get SOME work done from 3 until 11 yesterday, but didn't want to miss anything important since each play could have made a huge difference. I'm a Giants fan since early childhood, but it's hard for me to root against Brady.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Try!!

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Oooookaaaaaay.........

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How about one of the worst national anthems of all time?!! Tyler was pathetic. He already looks like a cadaver. Now we know his voice is long dead as well.

Thomaston, CT

Thought he was a she.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It's still up in the air.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

There are reports that that poor 49er kick returner has gotten death threats. Ridiculous.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thought that was a very poor choice to do the National Anthem, anyone with a gravely rock voice can't do justice to the song

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What is keeping him/it alive???

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

he must eat a lot of foods with preservatives

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Necromancy is my guess.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He puts the Egyptians to shame. Remember the 80's song, Walk Like an Egyptian?? Tyler is sprinting.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Angelo Dundee, trainer for Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, died at 90. Always liked him.

Thomaston, CT

Yes, read that......Super Bowl predictions?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Rooting for Giants (reluctantly), but my gut tells me the Pats in a close game.
