It turns out that the guy that gave back Jeter's 3000th hit ball could be liable for up to about $30K in taxes based on the value of the tickets and memorabilia that the Yankees gave him.

Saw that. Yet another reason I would have kept it! You sell it, then you have all cash and can pay the tax.

And I thought CT was bad....now I have to pay a tax when I get the dog's nails clipped...really....

yeah, we brought no pitching to the table. Weaver was it...can't expect to win with that. Worst pitching line-up in the AS game for the AL that I've seen in recent history. I know our two guys Lester and Beckett were hurt though they showed up. Beckett had no business being on the roster...he hyperextended his knee on a slippery mound on Friday.

Glad to see the Mets finally dumped K-Rod. Beltran is next.

No loss as far as I'm concerned....Beltran hits well only when he feels like it....the last strikeout in S.F. was awful...should have fined him for standing around & not swinging.....& K-rod has been so-so...has given up too many hits.

Maybe they can bundle him with someone and get a good starter.

Yes, they can use another since I don't think Santana will ever pitch again...longest rehab on record!

I'm not a Pirates fan in the least, but I've been quietly rooting for them this year as they not only try to finish over .500 but actually make a run at the playoffs.

Do you realize that there are people who are now old enough to vote for the President of the United States of America who have never been alive during a season in which the Pittsburgh Pirates had a winning record? That blows my mind.
