I'm thankful for tomatoes today. I had tomato biscuits spread with a puree of grape tomatoes and feta cheese for lunch. ~N~
Today, I am thankful for...#6
i looooov.v.v.vee ripe tomatoes
Ripe tomatoes are the bees knees!
Did you save some for us?
I am thankful for 3 cats and a dog named Scoot. They had me laughing all day. Scoot loves to chase the cats up a tree. Today the kittys ganged up and waited together at the door for Scoot. I heard Scoot give single barks, When he did'nt quit barking,I went to investigate. There was poor Scoot in front of 3 scowling cats sitting in a row. I know that one bark translated into the single word HELP! I know cats are supposed to be solitary hunters but my 3 are a smooth machine together. Then when they're thru they go their separate ways.
Today I am thankful for feverfew and butterbur...Thanks for relieveing my migrane.
LOL Does Scoot ever learn his lessons?
Nadine - Tomato biscuits? Did you make those and can you share the recipe. Your puree sounds great too
Thankful for DH going to a regular room today and with a lot fewer tubes connected to him. He must be getting better as he is getting testy.
I am grateful for your prayers.

The recipe for tomato biscuits is from Allrecipes under "Dad's Tomato Biscuits." Basically, you are replacing the milk with vegetable juice or tomato juice. I think the recipe needs a little tweaking. I'll put garlic and some other Italian herbs in the dough next time and make the biscuits smaller. It's good for those times when you are craving biscuits, but are out of milk.
Today, I'm thankful to live a relatively quiet life off the beaten path. I've been watching "Weird News" online. Sometime, this collection of newspaper stories from around the country make the life of a hermit appealing. I wonder if people are actually getting crazier and more stupid or, because we are now more connected than we've ever been, we are only hearing abut the extent of bizarre human behavior behavior for the first time. LOL. No more weird new s for me! MK says I'm too young to become a cynic. ~N~
Nadine, my belief tends toward the latter. Instant mass communication lets us know all kinds of stuff that has been happening for all of human history, and of which we'd much rather have remained ignorant. The stories make such headlines because they are NOT the norm or common occurrences. MK is right. I stopped watching shows like Dateline and 48 Hours. If you start to get sucked into the "Danger, Danger! Murder, Crooks, Druggies!!!" it can make you permanently leery of every other human being on the planet. We are all ALWAYS going to be too young for that, don't you think? :-)

Thankful for Yard Sales...$3.25 bought all the fall play clothes my gal will need for this year :0) and myself a Hymalayan Salt Lamp :0)
Today, I am thankful to have a wonderful sister. Went to bingo with her for the first time since she and her husband separated in January. (Haven't gone with her to her regular Friday nights because he is often there and she won't let me shoot him. Soooooo...sigh...I gotta stay home. [grin])
I am thankful that last night my 75-year-old paternal uncle accidentally dialed my number for the first time EVER. Called him back and found he's been ill and had more procedures coming up...and that his mental clarity has deteriorated significantly from the last time we spoke. Now, if something happens, it won't come as such a shock. Love you both, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Minnie!
I am thankful for the stability and security of Volvo construction. Think I am going to insist on taking a pay cut by giving back the company car and getting one of my own. First time in four years I will have owned a car. Found a good deal on a 1999 S70 and they are practically indestructible. Will see if that comes to fruition.
We are over 200 posts. Think it is time for thread #7.
