There is just something so relaxing about sitting on a porch swing. Any time of day is okay too...

You're never going to guess who's going to stop tomorrow morning to see me! BONITA~~~~ She and Randall heading to South Dakota for a memorial service and they're having a stop-over in my area. I'm so looking forward to seeing her. She said to tell you all that she bit off more than she could chew with taking on a whole gob of "nameless iris" and she's been over her head trying to make heads and tails out of it. She misses us! I'll give her hugs from you!

Cookie, that is great news, she is going to atop and see you. Tell her we all miss her dearly! Sending extra hugs!

Morning everyone!

Just wanted to let you know I will be gone for the day. Going to San Angelo for a follow up on my back, just a normal trip every 3-4 months. I will be back tomorrow, and hopefully with a new tower for the computer!

Good Morning Ladies,
The temps here have been so crazy. Monday was in the mid 90's, Tues & Wed 104, Thurs mid 90's today 88. The evenings and early morning are really cool mid 50's. We packed a picnic and went to the lake for the day. It was Harlee's first time swimming and she did real good for 6 months old. The water was so awesome I could not stay out of it. I was out about 4 feet deep just standing. Happened to look down into the water and there was a school of baby fish swimming all around me, it was so cool. I told Doug I am getting some fins and a snorkel for our camping trip in August.

Cindy, looks like Harlee had a great time! Sue, don't spend all your Money in one place!

OH!! Dave had a second interview with Cameron yesterday, I talked to him last night and he said that he was introduced to the rest of the guys he would be working with, sounds like he's going to get the job to me, I'm trying to not get excited in case this doesn't go through but it's hard not to.

I'm at my dad's in Joplin, MO, they took me out yesterday and showed me all of the tornado damage, I took a lot of pics I'll have to post when I get back home. It's surreal and pics don't do it justice.

Both of you look very happy and cool.

Got my modem, could be on yesterday, but there were just too many things going on.
Kel had 2 teeth extracted and he's lucky he had a day off. Back to work tonight, and he says he won't be needing the painkillers.
Didn't know that state prison employees can not be on prescribed pain killers when they're on duty.

Cookie, Bonnie would be wanting to do a pond on her property the minute she sees yours. I remember she had brought some stones for you on her first visit. Bet she's shocked on how beautiful the pond is.

Cindy, I need to get a pool just for Lola!! Was Harlee afraid when her feet touched the water for the first time. Most dogs are natural swimmers, but I had one that screamed the first time it hit water, thinking it's getting a bath!!
Won't you be going to Sistah Judy's in August. Think her vacation home is on a lake, and plenty of deep water for you to practise snorkeling.

Oh Barb, me too want a porch like Synda's. Deep verandah, with swinging chairs. Would be nice to just blow the breeze with chatty sistahs!!!

Welcome back, Jaye! I was out looking for more squash, none yet. Looks like I'm going to have to tie up some tomato branches. Would be nice if they stayed inside the cage. Got a little too warm for me, so come back in to look for that darn tube of glue I put in a safe place.

Still no humming birds at my feeder, maybe I just put up a big sign (can they read) with an arrow pointing to the feeder.

Pegi, I have finally come to terms that no birds nor hummingbirds will ever grace my garden again due to the large meow population.
There is a bluejay nest on top of the oak tree, and would you believe that there are a couple of cats on the roof, thinking they could jump to that tree, about 30 ft. away?

Blooming onion was good. I also had the french onion soup, a 6 ounce filet with blue cheese, and the seasoned veggies. It was very good!
Well, we went to Best Buy, and bought a new tower. Imwill get it going as soon as we get back home tomorrow.

OH no canning for me, just too lazy. We probably will be eating them as fast as they ripen. I've already frozen tomatoes on a cookie sheet then put them in plastic bag. I can only use them for sauce then, but that's OK with me.

There are a few cats around here so maybe that is one reason I don't see many birds. Maybe if I put the feeder higher up, but then I'm not climbing ladders any more. Never had a broken bone and don't need one now. Well, I do have a small step ladder in the kitchen with wide steps that I use to get things out of high places like cupboard over the refrigerator.

Everyone please keep our Neener close to your hearts and in your minds. She sent a note this morning asking me to let you all know that her Dad died last night and she was going today to help her Mom make arrangements.

I love hostas, but had stopped getting them for a year now. Need to get more soon!!! I ran out of shade and had started another bed, but in full sun.
Surprisingly they all did well, contrary to popular belief.
