Afternoon everyone! Wow, so much going on! Debbie, sure wish I was closer to help you out!
Bev, please be careful with that wrist ti ll you get a cast on it. Sending prayers for Scotty.
Sending prayers for Barb and Crissy, that your hubbies get the phone call, to report to work.
Also for Susan. Praying there is a job in your near future as well.
Betty, what kind of surgery did Jim have? I don't remember what it was.
Will you be using your knitting machine for your new sweater?
Sorry to hear about the police officer getting killed.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today..a chat with friends!
Sue - I'm almost wishing Bob Doesn't get a job (he's unemployed, too......) because his wage would only get garnished............. don't want to go against the law, but they're saying he made $103,000 in 1/2 year in 2004, and are charging him taxes accordingly (40%)! We sent in a tax filing, but they don't believe us, and disallowed it.
He only made $18k in the first 1/2 of the year - so don't know where they're getting their figures. He was doing the same type of work, for the same company...... strange, eh?
Susan, can't he go to the company and get company files? They have to have wage an earning statements?
We have all his pay statements, but they say he has unclaimed amounts, and he was "freelance" construction. There's no way to say he didn't work 24hr/day and make that $. Not only that, but they aren't allowing any expenses. Unfortunately that was 7 years ago, and we don't have everything. The accountant who filed on Bob's behalf lost all the originals (she and her partner split up and he threw out all her paperwork, she says).
Just got a letter from Rev Cda saying he still owes over $11k........ and that's because they took all his serverance $$ from this last job.
LORD - please guide us in knowledge to get this resolved. We ask compassion of those at Rev Cda who are handling Bob's taxes.
Good grief Susan, if it ain't one thing it's another.
Perhaps the LORD is testing us...... far be it from me to second guess Him.
I'm sure whatever he has in mind for us will be worth it.
I keep praying, it's all I can do.
Oh Susan, Revenue Canda strikes again!!! One of those brown envelopes pops up in my mailbox and I cringe.I soooo know how you feel. Just as I thought our accountant had everything straightened out with Rev Can, I folded the business in 2007, they want info for 2007,08,09. What info????? There was no business!!! Why can't people like you and I get a job at Rev Canada???? Just joking, I would hate to work there.
D
I know, Dianne - they want filings for Bob's business, and it folded in 2008...... but he HAS to file for GST for 2009, 2010, and 2011. Awwwww c'mon Rev Cda!!!!! Check your own forms that says There Is No Such Company Anymore. He filed for disolution of the company, f'crimeny's sakes!!
Evening all, Ann just left, heart goes out to her!
Didn't win at bingo, think maybe we were gabbing, not that interested and may have missed several numbers!
Dianne, not sure if it's much the same in your neck of the woods but from this morning to tonight it must have dropped 30 degrees...brrr went out for a walk in the gardens before Ann left and I could have been wearing a fall coat.
Susan, sorry to hear that Revenue Canada is at your door again, thought they were reviewing and might no longer be asking for $$$
gee whiz, hard to believe.
LindaKay Jim had prostrate operation..some signs of, let's say needed operation in hopes of living a longer life!
Barb, this morning I meant to say how sorry I was to hear about your cousin's husband, was he elderly, not that it's easier to accept!
The young police officer was in his early 30's, married, young child 2 1/2 and a 9 week old child, wife works for the police dept as well..stopped a vehicle, as it turned out there were 4 in the van, 15 year old driving, took off dragging the officer, hit something, vehicle rolled over and pinned the officer underneath..15 year old is in the hospital, other 3 co operating..when the officer managed to call for help his concern was for the occupants of the vehicle...so very tragic!!
That time of night, should call it a night..did take photo's of my garden this morning, maybe I should post a few!
Night/night
Beautiful flowers Betty! Love the window frame with hanging basket.
I'm off to bed, see you all in the morning!
wow- your garden is gorgeous, Betty!
I did not read much, will have to try to catch up at a later date.....I have been to anxious, and excited to try to sleep, but I have to try again soon.....anyone who knows military stuff...Kyle is having "Battle Stations" tonight...for those unfamiliar.....simply put it is a 12 hour test (mock battle), and he has to pass in order to graduate, and become a Sailor...we leave in the morning to go to the Great lakes for the ceremony....we will be anxiously waiting for his phone call.stating " I am a Sailor Now!!!" should come some time after 2 pm central??? time whatever Great lake time is??? just know an hour behind my time (eastern) I am soooo excited to see him, and my Moma, and hopefully get to meet Judy!!!! I could not get to sleep...so I got up and on the computer I am.....gonna go try again in just a bit...
gonna bring the laptop with us, hoping to find some free connections here and there along the way....if we do I may try to catch up with the posts...other wise love and hugs to all, and I will be back in about a week....
Morning all, drizzling once again..
Dianne I'll have to listen to Frankie Flowers to see what he says our long weekend will be like, hope no changed and we'll have a sunshine day!
LindaKay, the window frame is a pretty backdrop, I usually have a much larger pot hanging, been waiting to see one but so far they've all looked so stragly..
Was at Walmart yesterday morning, must say their plants look sick/sick, they've reduced them somewhat but not enough to make anyone purchase them..would imagine in the next few weeks they close the garden centers already.
Thunder, looking at the clock you should now have an official young sailor in the family..am hoping you have time to drop in with a quick 'yes' as i know youve much to do..may you all enjoy the best holiday ever..give Judy a hug and tell her we are missing her posts..
Poor sailor, justbgave her meds, salved her hip..looks so pitiful with no fur and raw as can be..tonight I'll try to get her in the tub, hot bath might help!
Frankie said by 7 tonight clear sky and then HOT and HUMID all weekend.
So many are hurting right now, sending prayers and hugs
