Mary, I did NOT tear up at all for Shane suring the Graduation. I think he ticked me off really good BEFORE graduation I was able to absorb it!

However, his good friends Val & Mike did a duet from the musical Wicked...it was called "For Good". That made me cry big time! Beautiful song...and the lyrics...just got me.

Yesterday when I went to change the travel trailer into my name and get trailer plates I had all my I.d. Out, simply asked the gentleman at the counter now that I'm divorced should I revert back to my name..said yes, he changed my health card, drivers license, car ownerships and all, when I said I wanted it back to Pauze like my boys he said 'no' had to go back to birth certificate maiden name..If I can find my marriage certificate under 'pauze' then it can likely be changed back..since then I've been in a slump, not Betty Roper, not Betty Pauze but Bessie Lapensee, now who and the h%*l is she?? As I wipe a tear...was that little lady for 17 years, not much of her is left in me...not sure where she fits in, in the scheme of things.. Drats, these things don't sit well with me!

Let's hope they continue with their friendship Debbie, all now going in different directions..

Susan, lots of work for only a few people..are you giving thought to continue with the movie venue?

Kyle just dropped in, family are at the community center few doors down, can hear the music, wanted to say free hot dogs/hamburgers but I said I'd pass..already have a roast on..bit of. Headache, going for hot bath and a lay down!!

yes, it's a lot of work, but now and then we get many more (up to 16!) so it's "feast or famine", but it continues........

Betty - I can understand that would be so frustrating .... Why can't they just let you use the name you want to use... okay I understand they can't but it's frustruating. Hope you get a good nap and feel better....

Do you think I can swap the white vinegar for Balsamic vinegar ?

Mary so glad you are going to be able to try the Cucs and Sour Cream recipe. I have no idea if you interchange balsamic for regular vinegar - could be an excellent swap.I'd go ahead and used the remaining part of the onion Mary - as long as there is no mould on it.
Still raining here with another wicked T and L storm passing though this afternoon.Rain forecasted again for tomorrow so that is 5 days in a row. I noticed something stange on my neck tonight and darned if I am not getting gills! I sink to my ankles in a couple of the flower beds so needless to say the weeds are slowly taking over.

I have had to call 2 sets of visitors we were going to have over the summer and ask them not to come. DH does not want any visitors - he hates having people see him when he is not well. He is waiting quite patiently ( for him) to get the results back from his Cscans last week. I sincerely hope it is sooner rather than the 2 weeks they said it would take to reach out Doc.He is going downhill fast and he finds just walking out to the truck leaves him in alot of pain.

Also not sure how much sugar to use... but I may use none unless you post real soon... I'm not a "Sweets" person... anyway...
So so sad you are cancelling visitors... I hope everything comes to a *GOOD* conclusion REAL soon and you get a treatment in place to help hubby's suffering...

No mold on the onion... wish I had a vidalia...but will use what I have. Do you spread on bread for sandwiches or just eat as a salad ?

Mary I use only 1/2 teasp as I am not a sweet eating person either. We eat it as a salad but you could make a sammie out of it. I serve it with Ham Loaf and it is oh so yummy!

Plan to Debbie, his mind is just whirling with all the unknowns and I know once he has everything explained to him he will be able to cope better. Its the unknown that gets to him and I must admit to myself.

Dianne, I am the same way. I have myself "dead and burried" in my mind while waiting for results and always expect the worst! Same when DD is sick....I just fear for whats going to hit the fan. It is that darn "off" switch we talked about.....we just keep going over everything in our minds and no sleep and no "off".

Well my Off switch is definitely not working tonight. Darn good thing I just got a delivery of some books from Amazon!

I went out to DH's garden and questioned a couple plants he had in. He actually put some yellow/summer squash in for me. Oh wait...not for me, but so I can make summer squash cassarole for him and DSIL Joe.

Have you ever had spaghetti squash? I want to give it a try but am kind of leary.

I've never had Spaghetti Squash but I've heard of it... I usually LOVE Yellow Squash... was 'raised' with it... but mine died...and MIL has brought some Squash by when we were leaving on vaca... so It's dying... got to do SOMETHING With it....

Mary how did the cucs turn out? You know you can cook all the squash up now and freeze it. I do that in the fall when we have so many. I just put it into baggies with the right serving size for the 2 of us. When I want it I just pop it in the nuke, just before I nuke it I put a little butter and either maple syrup or brown sugar.
Debbie I just finished Smokin Seventeen: A Stephanie Plum Novel plus Nancy Thayer's Beachcombers. Am starting Edna Buchanan's Cold Case Squad and have also started Silver Girl by Elin Hilde(??) something I will have to look it up. Both Thayers and Elinn's books have Nantucket as the place their stories revolve around.Do you like any of the Hardcase Crime books - they are black noir mystery stories?
My chair is calling my name, a friend and I moved 2 bush cords of wood to its winter spot so I am ready for a rest.

Dianne - the Cukes in Sour Cream is Delicious ! Been eating a bite or two all day. It reminds me of something I've eaten off a Chicken Schwarma platter in local Greek/Lebanese restaurants.
Funny thing is I always Loved it and Always wanted to figure out what was in it and couldn't... now I know !

Might try the Cukes Sour Cream in Pita bread with some feta cheese... Hmmmm... now I'm thinking of other combos ! or could be a dip with Pita chips....

LK - very hot day for us too... but not 109 !! wow... What do you do on days like that? We started out in the pool... which made it all a bit cooler....

Its been a "lovely" day. NOT.

Lots of time indoors, watching tv with hubby, or in the pool...

I have had spaghetti squash yum yum.. i like most squashes.... I was chatting with DIL wife of soldier boy, he is in iraq...will be there for quite awhile still....he is #1 son, and only one married, # 2 son is soon to be "sailor" ......he graduates "recruit training" on Friday!!!!! #3 son lives here with hubby and I, he is the one that just got a job after being out of work for about 4 years!!!

speaking of that.....he just got a promotion of sorts.....no pay raise yet, butttttt boss said he likes him very much, love his work ethics, and is putting him on a more steady schedule!!!! more of his hours will be day time.....8-3:00 9-5 and more days (he started of two days/nights per week and has been getting more and more) ^_^ and they are teaching him new stuffs, like how to receive food orders (deliveries) and some of the food prep stuff!!! he is very excited!!! He is so happy more often !! amazing what a difference in such a short time...and when he gets paid....he "volunteers" $ to the house hold expenses, giving me money for his cell phone...etc can see the pride in his eyes!!! that he can now help out financially, and not just physically......Yet, still asks his Dad when he gets home if he needs him to do anything for/with him??? I am one proud Momma !!!

"So Far - So Good" on the Cassia cuttings... although Belle almost "took one out" today.... I may have left too many leaves... I tend to want to do that... but we'll see....

Thunder.... Oh ((HUGS)) on the 'walking' thing. My DS very nearly did not. VERY nearly.... remembered him muttering... "I guess its just something you do for your Mom".... Yup buddy boy you better believe it ! Our nephew was supposed to walk...bought cap, gown and etc.... last May (last month)... but didn't.... totally last minute and I felt so bad for him and BIL.... and our DSD who wanted them to "walk together". What a stressful time... glad it's nearly 'over with' and how WONDERFUL that all 3 of yours are doing so well. Jury's still out on my DS but he's doing okay....
How neat you'll be traveling for the graduation on Friday ! AND you get to see Judy ! Pack that Book LOL!!! ((HUGS))

Oh Thunder you must be getting so excited!!Am very happy for you - your son will be estatic to see you. Your boys sound like wonderful, caring young men. They had to learn that somewhere and I bet mom had a lot to do with that.
Spent the afternoon fielding calls from the Kingston hospital just to confirm info about DH. We get up at 4:30 am to get DH into the hospital for 6am, surgery at 7am. They have to put him right out as they are going in to remove some soft tissue close to his spine. While there are still alot of unknowns we both feel better having talked to doctors today and we now know "they" are on the case.
