so jealous of the torch lilies.. I moved mine last year to a sunnier spot.. no blooms still

:(

only have one more place I can try

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

That's a bummer. I divided mine this year and potted a bunch up. At least one that's in the pots has a bloom on it. I'm psyched!

Karen, love all your planters and Jerry. I am trying another Corydalis this summer, but in the past I killed them.

Ge1836, Looks like she is wearing a garden. Cool. Patti

Love the hats!

Wonderful photo, Jo! Karen, thanks for the info on the penstemons....I ordered those from Annie's this year...hope they overwinter. My Sweet Joanne penstemon has been doing fine so far.....Jen, have no idea if it's a weed....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice JoAnn.. great blooms there!!...

was shocked to see blooms on my Persian shield ... all these years I have grown them.. never saw a bloom.. but I looked it up.. and it said the leaves will be smaller now.. and not big and huge.. and cutting off the flowers will mean nothing.. will just be a wimpy plant now.. bummer

Very nice shots, Karen! Things are looking great at your place. How is Jerry doing? He is a cutie!

Jo - love the hats.....love women with a sense of humor and "place"...so fun!

Marilyn - I hope my red penstemons come back. So far they are looking healthy. When do they bloom?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I never knew Persian Shield had blooms! Wimpy, huh? Sad.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

couldn't happen later on after it got big right.. bummer

Jo, love those lilies, especially Dimension....have a lot of buds, but only one blooming so far...Louise, my penstemons are either blooming now, or finished...you may be later because of colder temps. Here is a delph just opening....

Me too!

South Hamilton, MA

RD do you make hollyhock dolls?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks to all who complimented my photos.

Jo, I love your pic of the 2 visiting friends. Looks like you guys had fun.

Jen, I don't think Arctic Fire is fragrant. It sure is pretty, though. I like that Ruffled Apricot. Very pretty.

Allison, sorry to hear that about your delphs. I've found it's best to tie them to a tall stake, in at least 2 or 3 places on the stem. That's a bummer about the Persian shield.

Karen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ok now I have to hear about HH dolls

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Louise, Jerry is doing very well. Thanks for asking. He's a real sweetie, and everyone loves him. And for the most part, he is very well-behaved. A real love bug. We just adore him. How are your girls? Still keeping you on their toes, or are they more settled down now?

Karen

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nice pictures everyone!!!

I make HH dolls...well we call them ballerinas but I think they are the same.

South Hamilton, MA

Probably--not many ways you can make them. Onewish--the flower is the skirt. Leave the attached stem long & use a bud as the head or a partly opened flower as the head if you want a fancy hat. Make a hole in the bud & place flower stem inside.
