It started working here at 6:17 and I thought my cocktail had something to do with it.
Thank you, each and every person! This is grand.
Cheers!
Nice cocktails, cheers to you as well! (-;
Glad to hear it's working!
It's nice to be back to pages that are comfy to read rather than distracting. Thanks so much!
Looks great!
It works great - thank you to the tech team for pushing to make this happen!
Thanks to all involved in the re-tweak!
waiting--not necessarily with baited breath.

don't know how to 'change preference'. I did nothing when the tweak came on & should be able to have it back.
mine did not go back either.. still have featured company there
ooohhh thank goodness.. go under preferences.. then ads.. and unclick the featured company box
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for removing the white space on the left, but now I have to scroll over to read the right side of the page. Help on fixing this please. I made the font smaller and that doesn't help
It looks great to me.

Thanks Talia and tech team!
Beautiful way to start the day at DG. Thank you again, everyone who made it possible.
Hi again, would someone help me with the problem that I posted yesterday?
Thank you for removing the white space on the left, but now I have to scroll over to read the right side of the page. Help on fixing this please. I made the font smaller and that doesn't help
liz, there is no longer a navigation box on the right, so you're seeing the post boxes now go all the way to the right of the screen. If the text is going completely off your screen, it's something in your computer monitor settings that will need to be adjusted.
...most web sites can adjust the size of their text boxes to the size of the window in which it is being viewed. Just sayin'...
Jeannie63, that's true and DG does re-size to fit your screen. (If you shrink your window, the text box adjusts accordingly.) And since this is the only report we've had of anyone having to scroll to read all the text, it is most likely something in her monitor settings that needs to be adjusted :-)
Liz////get your DGS to fix it....that's what I do. LOL Jo
Talia - HURRAY! It's fixed and it's terrific. ♥
Thank you so much to you and Terry for your "due diligence" in making
things work the way our subscribers prefer.

Terry, through my years on DG I've occasionally had things run off the screen to the right, but it always self-adjusts somehow and never lasts long.
Hi - just to verify...since I've never had my ads turned off...do I need to remove all ads for this to work or just certain types. Namely, do I unclick all the ad boxes?
You know what? I didn't understand what all the conversation was about, and now I can't tell that anything was done, so I guess I'm okay either way. Ignorance is bliss... and now I know that saying is true. :)
Terry, I have the same issue as lizh.
I have a wide screen monitor, but it is tilted portrait instead of landscape. I have the internet explorer window set to the same width as my monitor, but have to scroll right/left to see all of the text on DG pages. If I adjust the width of the internet explorer window, the DG page does not re-adjust to fit the new width.

Jeannie63, using your monitor in portrait mode requires a fairly unique set-up and that question is probably best answered in the computer talk forum where people can help you trouble-shoot any problems you're experiencing.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Yes, I'm shouting from sheer joy!
This is the easiet format ever, and I'm thrilled. Thanks to all of the poor Admins who not only listened to all the griping, but did so with undertsanding and didn't take it as a personal affront. And FIXED it :))
You are the best.
Wonderful! The solution actually exceeds my expectations. I love it. I also love the addition up top of the path info. Very nice. My thanks to all concerned, including the developers.
Oh, and just FYI, I access DG on two different computers, a 17" Mac at home using Firefox and a 15" Windows XP at work using IE. On both laptops, the DG page resizes appropriately when I shrink the window, no scrolling necessary. I actually had some problems with that, having to scroll over to see things even on my 17" monitor with the window maxed out, BEFORE the 'tweak' that got everyone screaming. Now it works fine for me on both computers.
Ok, now I do think I see what some people may be talking about regarding scrolling. This is NOT a problem for me, btw. Please note that I am very happy with everything and am only mentioning this in that it might help to explain what has been said by some others. On the Windows/IE computer I'm currently using everything works fine when I shrink the screen (horizontally) to 10". As soon as I try to shrink it to anything smaller than 10in (horizontally), a scroll bar appears at the bottom and I risk having to scroll horizontally to see everything if I shrink it anymore. Again, this is not a problem for me. Just explaining what I see. Just trying to help with group communications and troubleshooting - although I don't personally see a need to fix/change anything. I love it just like it is. :-)
This is IE 8.0. I don't know what font it is using. Just the default. Text size set to 'smaller'.
