the men...
lol, Norm on one
§ Sweet Interruptions § 219
Now, Did you no Barbara is also very Talented in hand stitching as well?
look at this stunning piece...It's entirley cross stitched!! This took her several months, while they lived in NM for a short time.
All I could say was Wow, and Wow again...
Barb is working on another piece for her grandson, but it's put away for a bit.
Great pictures Judy...I hope someday to meet Barb and Norm.
Cookie, I am so relieved to hear it wasn't a stroke but do understand the effects of the UTI. Mom continues to have them doing pretty much the same as your Dad. She does regain some info when the UTI clears but after each one it does leave her a little more confused. I guess we are both lucky to have had our parents as long as we have.
I wish I were closer as I would be there helping you also. In the meantime, sending hugs for all and many prayers.
And that was Our Sistah Visit...
Norm and Barbara escorted us to the highway, where we both gassed up...
While gas was going, I had to go and Arm wrap Barbara up one last time,
Gave her a kiss and whispered Keep spreading the Love my friend... that did it,
while in tears she told me to go and I walked away in tears as well.
What a beautiful visit, one I shall always cherish, and a friendship bonded with love.
When we returned to the room it was in time to see a wonderful sunset, Joyce and I talked for hours.
What a wonderful day we had with friends, a sistah, and yes, it felt just as though we've known each other for ever.
and now we do!
As I watched, gave thanks, with a smile on my face, shed tears, this visit came to an end, my heart and soul danced with love this day!
One day we shall do it all over again, until then
Love Peace and Arm Wraps.
Mii Gwetch Thank you.
OH Judy and Barb, yall getting together is so wonderful. Judy squeezes good with her arm wraps, doesn't she! Enjoyed looking at all the pictures. The covered bridge holds so much history. Just think of all the many people who have crossed over it.
Joyce, I've still got your parents in my prayers. Praying your Dad will get his memory back over time.
I've got Haley today and tomorrow. She's a sweetie making yelling noises. I think she likes to hear herself. LOL
Deborah
Judy, that was a wonderful trip indeed, your story, makes me feel I was right there, all I missed are the armwraps in person!
(((((((((((((Cookie))))))))))))))
So good to know it's a lesser evil. Your dad has a greater chance of recovery from a UTI. I am surely relieved to read that you are getting some help from your brother and his wife.
Not easy to split yourself between two parents that need your attention. Cookie, I'll also pray for continous help for you.
Same here sistah. If I could be there for you, you know I'll be there in a jiffy. You're just too far for me to drive :(
But feel our presence in spirit, Sistah.
((((((((((((((((Judy))))))))))))))) Mii Gwetch!!
Thank you so much for sharing your special gathering with Barb!
You've just confirmed my belief that Barb besides being an outstanding and loving sistah, she's also a super quilter! Yep, her work personifies her character which is perfection, compared to my sloppiness!
Gosh, Barb, your work area looks so efficient. Everything within reach. Isn't it wonderful when you have Norm that supports your craft. I won't call it hobby, as you treat it very seriously.
Barb, what's your model, I will have to look it up online, no Janome dealer here.
Both DHs seem so relax with each other. Again, thank you Judy for taking us into your experience.
Saying goodbye is always the hardest part. That day when you drove off in the van @ Cookie's for the last time.. I wish I had never seen you leave.
Why didn't I take a bath or do something so I never would have to say goodbye, like you did at BJ's.
It would have been so easy if our hearts are not in our friendships. Just a casual acquaintance, we are not. We have become so much like true sisters, don't we?
May God gives us lots of opportunities to see each other and to give giant armwraps.
Deborah, another blissful day for you when you have your DGD!
Well dahlin', let Haley yells all she wants. She's practising her
vocal chords :D Knowing you, you'll try to 'understand' what those yells are all about!!! Lol!!!
PTL for little children.
Waving at LK!!! I'm having a Janome envy here!!! How about you? Unfortunately there is no Janome dealer in town, just the Viking, Bernina and the Singer :(
Hey Marion, did you girls had a nice pizza dinner? Let me guess, Catie-Beth wanted pepperoni while Abbi asked for just cheese?
And which one sprinkled pepper flakes?
There's a daylily that my fav. DL nursery is offering. It's called Patchwork. Think I might get it next year. Would be nice to have a collection of plants named after our favorite recreation.
And I will like to get Quilter's Joy too.
Crissy, haven't heard from you. Enjoy your weekend girl.
Pegi, have you potted your great buys?
Synda, are you nicely tanned now?
Waving to Cindy~~~ Crissy ~~~Sis Kathy~~~
Judy - you have me in tears again!!!! As I read your account of our visit, it was like you were here again and when I looked around it was just me and the tears just flowed. I SOOOO enjoyed our day. You and Steve and Joyce and Jean are now part of my heart and will always be there. I'm also very happy to know that the lady I've posted with is as nice in person as I had imagined. Love you my friend......
PS I will get the paper piecing info out to you very soon. Eyes are going bonky now-so after I get them fixed okay????
ROFLOL Jaye you got it correct and Catie-Beth reached for the pepper. They leave tomorrow for 2 weeks at Gulf Shores. Their dad will be working there so the family gets to travel with him this time. I am so glad he is in a profession that they can do that. I traveled with kids when they were younger....every time Ross was somewhere more than 3 days..we went.
Deborah, I know you are having a blast keeping Haley. Keep us updated on how she is doing.
Judy, what can I say that others have not said already? LK once you have had a Judy "Armwrap" you can definitely feel them when she says that. She gives the bestest!!!!!
Barb, when do you have your eye surgery? I should be getting the new lense for my right eye this week then I am off restrictions. I have scheduled the left eye for September provided Mom continues doing as well as she can. She weighs a whooping 89 pounds now. Must be all those milkshakes she has been drinking.
Jaye, I love your idea of adding plants with names of our hobbies. Wonder how many we could come up with. I know Kim knows all the ones with pirate names!!! LOL
Hot and humid outside. This is the type weather that can create some horrendous thunderstorms. Just wish for rain without the extra.
You asked the questions - I'll try to answer.
Jaye - I have three machines - all Janomes. I have a small one that I got when I started to quilt and I thought $700 OH MY!! Then after four years and the passion is still there, Norm surprised me the a 6600 Profession machine. I love it. Then we he lerned I really wanted to
learn embroidery, he got me my latest for this past CFhristmas.. It is an 11000. It does all but wash my dishes for me...I'd recommend a Janome to anyone...
Marion - I'm having my left eye done on Wednesday. and the right one two weeks later....I can't wait....
Mittsy and her friend Judy stopped by on their way home from the Keepsake Quilting sale. They got all kinds of bargains. I must let our Judy tell you about the place. It is surely worth the trip....
After they left we took off for Sean's baseball game. He was so excited because he gets to pitch. I'm so proud of him...
Must go see about boiling some eggs. We are going to Brandon's first horse show tomorrow and it is an all day affair. So we will picnic and make a fun day of it....
Have a great evening everyone...We'll talk again soon..
Good morning!
Well!!! Today is the day, Our Baby Girl, Breenie is Graduating high School.
It's been a long haul, but woohooo, she pulled it off.
LOL, she insists on Drama!! She is suppose to wear a dress and regular shoes, not sandals.
You know when she tells me this? About 15 minutes ago!!!
ROFLOL, but not too funny, gave her my last 40...She's says it's not enough, i said make it be enough, be frugal.
Sigh, Can't wait till this is over, then I can relax and just concentrate on my gardens and Sistah Gathering!!
Got to go again, DH needs computer...Chat later,
have a glorious day!
Congrat Judy on the graduation. LOL do our kids even know the meaning of frugal?
Barb, I know you will be happy to have the first stage done. Soon you will be wondering why you didn't do it sooner...I sure do.
Gonna be a warm one today....99 but the clinker is 102 for tomorrow.
Judy, I know your proud of her! She has worked hard to get her grades up! Congrats!
Marion, be careful in that heat please?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1182858/
Go here and look at Kathy's flag she made! So pretty! Scroll down to the bottom...
It is beautiful...
LK, not to worry. I have long since learned I can't take heat like that. Plan to continue cleaning inside and throwing out clutter.
Good Morning!!!!
Yes...another day I have missed sleep!! Lol!! No, I'm not delirous, just mixed feelings kept me up!!
I may be on later tonight, but I better pop in before getting some snooze.
One sister in Christ has gone to Gloryland yesterday.
She had brain cancer, but she didn't lose her battle, she won it!!! Lord brought her home, and she's not suffering anymore!! Hallelujah!!
So, if I don't make it back tonight.. y'all have a fantastic chat without me.
Morning Jaye, so sorry to hear about your friend passing away!
Coffee is ready! It's gonna be hot all of this week, sure wish the weather would be what the normals should be!
Good Morning Everyone!!!
Had a wonderful weekend but boy it's too hot and the air quality is really bad, I can hardly spend any time outside without my bronchial tubes itching, and the air smells like mold.
((((((((((((((COOKIE)))))))))))))))) I'm so glad your dad didn't have a stroke but that's a big bummer about his memory, I know how that is, my grandmother suffered for 11 years with it, she thought exactly the same things.
Judy and Barb I am so glad you all had such a great time, and look at those pics!!!! Thanks for sharing those!!!
That is an awesome flag she made!!! WOW!!!
Jaye so sorry about your friend, but you're right, she won because she's back home and not suffering anymore!
Well I'm going to sit here at work and figure out what I was working on Friday, I don't remember LOL!
Starting out with a nice sunny day, it is thrift store shopping day and hope I find something I "really need". Was up early, but laid down for another hour which really helped. If it isn't bad dreams it is my hip aching so bad I can't sleep.
Sorry about your friend Jaye, but no more pain and finally home. I hope I can report that I have accomplished something today besides just planning.
Waving to all, thanks LK for the coffee. I very much need it.
Crissy my beloved younger Sistah!!!
Barb will love you if she were to see you!! Or is that 'hear'? Lol!!
In fact, you can verify that Barb will love all the sistahs here that you have met!!
Yes, she's not suffering anymore. The wonderful part is her kids are truly relieved. They don't question why, and having been brought up in the faith, they are happy that Lord gifted her with a new body, living in that Gloryland.
She left behind 5 children, the youngest is her new husband's child from his previous marriage.
Destiny is 10, but love Teresa so much that her natural mother lets her stay with Teresa.
Her youngest biological kid is 15. So I could safely say, thank God, they're able to take care of themselves.
Destiny by the way, will look for us every Sunday, and she'll sit right between Kel and I.
Pegi, I'll be with you on that Non Accomplishers Bench!!!
I would love for it to get crowded if Marion andn LK joins us for today!!!
I'm right here beside you today Jaye, hip is killing me for some reason. I got a shot in it 2 months ago, but that wore off a few weeks after I got it! Darn arthritis!!!
Move over gals I am on my way with a huge pitcher of mint tea. It is unbearable outside today so no thoughts whatsoever of doing anything. Well, not quite right, did go feed my son's dog this morning..daily event for the next 2 weeks as they are out of town.
LOL Jaye!! 'hear' is the truth!!!
Ug LK, sorry your hip is hurting, need me to rub some Ben Gay on it? LOL!!
Oh Marion THANK YOU for the iced mint tea!!!
Is this bench big enough to hold my old butt. Ain't doing too much either. Too hot for the dogs to go out!! When they do , they do their job and come right back in. I♥ It.
Oooh thanks for the tea, Marion. I brought lemon cookies!!
Of course Charleen, if you tell Charley not to nibble on my lilies!!
Poor you LK. I can't understand why the word "hipsters" is coined to describe fun people. When I think of hips.. I think of pain I'm getting too!!
I plum forgot to invite you all to the RMB Cotillion!!!
Let me relate to you the going ons.. while we're sipping mint tea.
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1187095/
And perhaps one of you could solve the puzzle of the dead body!!
You are more than welcome Crissy...drink up there is plenty more.
Come on Charleen, we can squeeze just a little closer together. WAIT!!!! What happened to my nice soft chair in the corner? Humm, somebody badder than me today?
Your chair was sent out for a heavy duty cleaning Marion!
Are you hinting I messed it up or did Kel find my chair instead?
Nope, nope,nope... red ain't his favorite color.
But he got your cobalt blue hammock!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I'm savoring this tea!!!!
Wait just a dadburn minute..he can't have me cobalt blue hammock too! The nerve of that man!!!
Crissy drink up dear--jugs are full and chilled in the frig. Might try peach tomorrow.
Love peach ice cream....got that too???
Blue Belle peach and homemade vanilla ice cream....the bestest there is. That is my story and again, I am sticking with it. LOL
Thank you all so much for your good thoughts and prayers. Dad is being released from the hospital today. He's been approved for 3 days at the TCU where Mother is. That will be good for all of us!
Oh Cookie, that is good news indeed. Thoughts and prayers continuing and oh so wishing I were closer if nothing more than to cook or just run errands. Love you gal.
Wonderful, Bet Dad will be glad to get home....Blessing dear Cookie....
