Beautiful tatoo Synda. I'm still chicken!!!!
This is my 2nd one
Synda, that is beautiful!
Beautiful tattoo, but I'm not going there. Getting too old to enjoy what the younger ones are doing. I'm not into any kind of pain, back pain is enough.
I saw the little bear peeking out of the tree at the birdfeeder, so cute. Beautiful Tattoo, Me too, getting to old for them. He'd have to work between the wrinkles....
Morning Ladies,
prayers continue for all in need.
Sorry ladies, no coffee this morning. It's just too hot, lately I've been having juices or just plain milk.
Milk it will be to go with your bagels and jelly!
What wrinkles Charleen??? The tattooist would have to FLATTEN out my folds!! Lol!!!
Hoping I will get some weeding done today, but it looks like the heat will just drain the energy I'm yet to exert!!!
Hope your day will be a good one!
Can't imagine getting another tatoo, the first one was enough. Was a spider, now it's a tarantula!!!
Lol Charleen!!! A permanent crawler you have!!
Welllll....my sister gave me a certificate for a tattoo of a ladybug several years ago. The card read "on the cheek of your choice". Now it is for me to know and you to wonder! LOL
Synda, very pretty.
Not working in yard until it cools off later today. Going to meet my family for a celebration lunch as oldest GD has passed to the 3rd grade. It is a tradition Grandma takes them to lunch at a place of their choosing. Today......pizza.
Stay cool all.
That's what Kel will be having for lunch. Unfortunately one of those frozen kind!!
Have fun Marion.
This weather is so weird !!!!!!!!!! We had Rain,Rain,Rain and then so hot you couldn't breath and now the last two days I have ran around with Goose Bumps from being cold but sunny !
Barb, you are the woman for standing still long enough to get that shot of the bear! LOL Jaye, don't throw dog food he'd/she'd just hang around for more. Peed reading this! LOL
Lost internet connection yesterday. I have no idea why, it's in the 90's and not a cloud in the sky. Guess the lines got cooked.
Well Deborah, guess bears got to eat too. Barb's Bear is certainly very resourceful!
Judy, any pictures of the wedding to share with? You and Steve must have had a wonderful mini vacation, plus it's not that hot in Boston, like here
Did give the plants a good soaking. Mosquitoes surprisingly haven't been following me around. My outdoors cats are finding shade everywhere, even in bushes!
Off to run some errands with Kel. I'm sure he'll be alright with Sonic's tonight!!!
Hope you all have a good supper!
Hiya, Happy Friday!!
OMG, I am so behind in all the threads, went this morning strolling around and I am as overwhelmed as I was in the Keepsake Quilting shop!!! OH my what a store, I wanted to see all that they had, my eyes just went here and there...lolol. Barb was so adorable and helped me pick out a few nice prints, heheh, she kept me right on track for the colors I wanted...I said, bad, bad Barb for bringing me to such a place, lolol. But, i kept my composure and only spent 16.00 on materials. But i sure do wish i was at their sale going on this weekend!!
Jaye, I do have lots of photos of the wedding! Here is one to start, but it is not from the wedding!
Barbara and Norm, a very loving couple. We all had such a wonderful time...Aunti Jean and Joyce just loved you two.
Steve really had a great time as well, and well, I already love you to pieces and this visit just burst with sheer joy of meeting you.
They met us, as you know at the resort. Right in the parking lot is where we wrapped our arms around each other...
We had introductions and chatted over coffee...while the men poured over the map of the White Mountains National Park...OH MY!!
After this we all proceeded to the cars, well not before another tight Arm Wrap, Both of trying to say everyone's names, lol Barb was faster...so yep, we giggled some more.
I jumped in with Barb and Norm, Didn't want to waste a minute of our time...We visited the Squam Lake.
LOL, of course we chatted all the way!
This is the lake that the movie On Golden Pond was filmed!!
It is a stunning lake. I believe Barb and Norm said it was 76 miles around...correct me if i'm wrong.
We couldn't ask for a better day, weather wise.
...hahah, you notice Im wearing pants rolled up? It's because I didn't bring any shorts!!! ROFLOL, I forgot a lot of things, my teeth included!LOL again, thats what happens when one is woken up and rushed out the door at 5:00 AM...lol had my bathing suit though.
Actually before seeing Squam Lake They took us to see a Covered Bridge
This is the Blair Bridge in Plymouth NH. It was rebuilt in 1870, replacing the original in of 1829!!
Sadly the original was burned down by an arsonist.
The River you see those kids splashing about in, is the Pemigewasset River.
It's name is from the Abenaki Indians, meaning Swift. Pemi meaning Cold.
It runs 5000 square miles and ends in the Sea.
Beautiful!!
Oops.. have to go for a bit.
Be back later.
Judy, love the pictures! The covered bridge reminds of the movie bridges of Madison County with Clint Eastwood.
Linda we have 27 of those covered bridges here in NH. They are so pretty and each one has it's own story to tell. I love to visit them...
Judy, thank you soooooo much for taking your time, to post these pictures.
I am actually crying!!! Why?? Because I wish I'm there to hug you and Barb!! You know how it goes, there are some people you meet, and feel as though you've known them forever?
That's how I feel when I read of sistahs meeting each other for the first time. I'm reliving the emotions I had at BJ's and Cookie's.. and I'm so happy that you and Barb finally met!!!
Who cares about teeth.. you only need them for eating!!
Lol!! You need those arms for giant armwraps!! Sorry we made you both tired with the hugs.
Sounds like the vacation is really too short! Steve must be happy you are not living too close to Keepsake Quilting. Does he know that there's the online store? Judy, now you won't have to worry about ordering anything from Keepsake :D
Barb, would you believe I had imagined Norm to look like Brian Dehenny (the actor)? Norm's more handsome!!!
Amazing.. that covered bridge looks exactly like that Bridges of Madison County movie. You're right LK.
Barb, you must have goosebumps each time you see a piece of history? I've never seen a covered bridge. Don't think there's any in the Carolinas.
We just got to go to NH!!
LK, we just got to make that trip to Judy's gathering. I'm trying my darndest best Judy.
I love covered bridges !!!!!!!! How beautiful............
Well the baby colt had to have surgery..........He (the colt ) decided he was old enough to eat grass and hay and it got stuck in his throat and he couldn't even swallow milk when he sucked,it would come out his nose. He will only be 4 weeks old tomorrow and his teeth have not developed enough for him to even chew..............the vet had to put him to sleep and remove the wad ! Boy is he going to be a handful !!!!!!!!!!!! I guess lightning was the perfect name for him........
Awe, sorry to hear that Synda. Hope he heals real fast!
He spent the night at the vets............and came home yesterday. along w/ a $1000 vet bill !!!!!!!!!!
Ouch Synda. Anesthesia cost is what hurt us with Rimau's bill. Vet couldn't take his blood since Rimau was acting wild!!
But 1,000... that certainly is a big dent in the pocket. Hope Lightning heals fast and won't need the vet for a long time.
Kel's supposed to be off tomorrow night, but was asked to work in the morning tomorrow.
He won't get extra pay, just an extra vacation day... with pay of course ;)
Good night sistahs. Hope the weather will be good for my sistahs.
((((((((((((((((Cookie)))))))))))))))) Know that you're loved by us all.
Good morning!! Good morning!!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, it's a WONDERFUL day in the neighborhood.. if only it's not too hot!!
Well, I couldn't sleep. So..while Kel's snoring away I fixed an unusual breakfast, groom the kitties, take care of 2 loads of laundry.. got the cotillion room ready... do my devotions.. and here I am!!
Breakfast for this morning is egg pasta with Italian sausage, with tomato gravy of course. If that's too heavy for you, there are sliced navel oranges, again. And diet sodas of your choice!!
Lolol.. blame it on my wacky mind when it didn't have the usual sleep!!
Kel ate two bowls before I sent him off. That will keep him going for the next 12 hrs. All that carbo!!
Actually it's pretty cool right now. Think I'll water the plants before 7. But temps are suppose to skyrocket to the triple digits again.
Sigh.. thank you Lord, but the grounds are thirsty!!
Sue, how's sales? Hope the sales are picking up. Don't like to see you discouraged. Austin, Savannah.. fix your mum a special breakfast please.. she certainly needs a special treat.
Have a wonderful day sistahs. Hug a special loved one or ones... today and tell them you love them.
(((((I love YOU!!))))))
Morning everyone! Thanks for the breakfast Jaye!
Wow, Synda, that is a lot of money for the little one! Hope he is doing better.
74 right now, not too bad, but will be 98 again today!
Hello my dear sistahs...just a quick checkin before I head to the hospital.
The good news is Dad DID NOT have a stroke. He has a very bad UTI and it made him act crazy. His memory is just shot though, and it's so sad to see. He was thinking my mom was in Pickerington which is where they met and married some 75 years ago. Then he thought they lived in Reynoldsburg where they lived till I was 15. Says he can't remember where he lives now and wonders why my mom isn't coming to see him. No matter how many times I explain that she had surgery and she's in the TCU he forgets right away. :o(
So since insurance didn't okay his transfer to the TCU yesterday, he has to stay in the hospital until Monday. Glad my brother came from Indiana. Now there's 3 of us (his wife came too) to go between the 2 of them.
Just glad to still have them for awhile. Thanks for all your prayers.
Love you!
Good morning!!
Awe so glad you are enjoying my pictures.
Synda, oh my, sure hope your baby feels better. yikes a lot of money! Do they call that gout? Thats what they call it when birds get wads of stuff in their throat. So glad you caught it right away....Love your new TAT, lil frog is adorable.
Linda Kay, yay, I read somewhere your fingers are getting better? Movement almost touching palm, Great news to see...
Sistah jaye, wowweee, that is soo pretty! is it a trumpet Lily or a Brug?? So glad Kel will have a day off!
Steve went right to work yesterday and working today... I worked on inside, laundry etc yesterday, so today i really have to get outside.
lol weed in the backyard must be 3 ft tall...OMG and never mind the front, ha, will have to bribe the kids for help...This AM need to concentrate on Baby, still haven't decided on a name tho...So very glad your m-bites are calming, Ive aquired several while in NH, didn't bother until couple days later, but calming too.
Waiving Howdy Sue, How are things going? Ackkk, Im afraid to go in green house, these kids didn't water anything, while I was gone!!
OH, Cindy love your garden photo's! Spectacular.
Well, geeze luoise, i don't recall Bridges of madison County!! lol, the first thing I thought of was it being just like in Beetlejuice, lol.
So after Visiting the Squam Lake we drove through Meredith, a very big town, very pretty...Located on the Winnpesakee Lake, a very large lake...And right in the front, a tiny Island, with a Bronze statue of an Indian. Our Barbara is so Proud of the Native American Names left in the history., it brought smiles to my face.
Then, we decided to drive to Hillsborough to Barb and Norms house for the BBQ. LOL, can't tell you how excited i was, that the resort didn't allow grills...Because then I got to see their house and even more excited to see Barb's quilt rooms!!!
Here is Barb on their little back deck...Oh man, forgot to take a picture of Norm's pride and Joy, he is growing his 1 tomato plant, which is doing very well and even starting to flower!!
Oh Joyce, so glad to see you post!!
Thanks be, your dad did not have a stroke.
I am really glad your brother and SIL came to help out.
Many Arm Wraps and all the more Prayers.
Judy, you need to go rent that movie, but make sure you have tissues near by.
Cookie, so glad to hear your Dad not have a stroke too. Sorry to hear his mind is not all there. It must be so hard for you and the family. Glad to hear you have help now!
And, behold!! Barbara's sewing room, This is the upstairs!!
Ah, how at home I felt. And talk about being Proud to see her works of Art. I was so much in Awe. I didn't know what to take pictures of first!, lol...And, even Steve was impressed, I think he was in love with her Janome, heard him talking to her about it...So, who knows maybe it was enough that I might get one one day, What a dream!!
You on the back wall there is Barbara's display wall...Those hanging are from various people and she has them label with who they are from!! Was very nice to see.
On the sewing table Barb had some practice pieces of embroidery, woohoo, that was what caught DH's eye!!
Then on the back side, she has a smaller one and on the other wall is a small Shelving, with loads of materials, all projects, in the works!!
LOL, Had to laugh, because she said this is messy!! Told her she should see my craft area, ROFLOL, should share a picture of a true mess.
Anywhoo, this next picture is of her work table, And as i smile with great delight, She has given me personal tutorials of how to work the crazy templets, I now must have!! haha, I will skip around JoAnns, i will choose some for my work area...She has also explained a few other things, especially for the paper piecing, almost can't wait to try, alas it will have to wait for just a bit.
Love her tiny iron too...speaking of which, I now know when and how to iron properly, it sure explains a lot to why my blocks always seem off, Thank you Barb, I really really walked away, reluctantly with a vast wealth of knowledge!
So, in the basement, i got to see her Sewing room, now is Norms...The room was built for Barb, but unfortunatley she gets clausterphobia...It's gorgeous!! Wow, and talk about Materials, she has an entire Cabinet of remenents, that seem to me as severals yards, she has her own personal fabric store!! She gave me a choice of selection to take home, can't tell you how grateful I was.
