Coffee Break #60

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Who has the time to sit and check calenders for the dates? I'm amazed at it but pleased that my birthday is one of those Fridays in July.

Someone asked me how old I will be this year and I could not tell them. I kept switching from one age to the other.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I've gotten that email in the past for a different month, every month with 31 days is going to have 5 of 3 days...I guess the interesting part is the 823 year part.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I never get very excited about that stuff. I'm sure something weird happens every year.

Funny, WC!

Thanks, Joy, but my birthday isn't until July 29th. Your pond area looks beautiful.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hmmmm, if Pirl's birthday thread goes up at 11:59 pm, you might be in a heap of trouble ,WC ;)

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yeah, been in trouble before for this kind of stuff.. I missed Valentines day a few times and got in trouble for it too!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I said if dad is feeling up to it.. yes... now she never comes for father's day... and just so happens to be my 40th birthday the same weekend... yeah like I was born yesterday.. ohhh surprise for me.. LOL.. guess I will have to wait and see what torture they put me though

Did you see where many elderly in Japan are volunteering to work at the nuclear plants? Heart-warming. Funny, I have always had a deep admiration for the Japanese people, without really knowing why. I am learning why recently.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Never too late to learn!

No charges filed in this one..

Very clever...

When a person asks, "how old are you?" ....just tell them the year you were born, and say,

"You do the math, I'm too lazy."

Thomaston, CT

I say," too old to remember".......

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Or care!

Atkinson, NH(Zone 5a)

I tell them That I have been around since before dirt. That usually gets a funny look.

I know it goes on in India but I didn't think it was happening in China, - horrible.

62 degrees and the heat is on - literally. Even Jim is cold

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wimps! This is gorgeous.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

70 today. Compared to the 90's of earlier this week, it feels cold.

Hallowell, ME

I'm beginning to think mother nature is going thru menopause!!!!!

East Bridgewater, MA

Is that a BAD thing ?!?

The air feels cool and refreshing...I'm not complaining !

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Wimps? Maine averages 2 tornados a year...last year we had 6. The other day we had 2 confirmed already!!! I live here and endure the winters for very good reasons....or so I thought! LOL
No tornados/twisters really
No poisonious snakes
No life threatening spiders
No weeks of 100 + degree weather
No threat of sharks (all though this seems to be changing.)
Less pollution
Less murder/crimes (this seems to be increasing too)

Hallowell, ME

Amen Celeste!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL Thanks Frank! ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The wimps comment was aimed at those complaining about this wonderful spring weather we have now. Heat?!!!
