Marion, that is good news about your Mom! Glad to hear she is doing better.
I bet your very anxious to get your new glasses. Glad to hear Kim is doing better too! Bet she feels a lot better?
Sweet Interruptions 217
You got to be kidding me, LK!! A Bailey's flavor ice cream??
I didn't see it at the local grocery store.. anyway.. it's very rarely I get a tub of regular ice cream, always looking for the sugar free kind.
I'll be getting some in a couple of weeks!!! Oh boy, increase insulin but so worth it.
Marion please tell Kim that she deserves to treat herself to more new clothes!! I bet she feels so good about herself and don't have to go to the plus size racks where the clothes can be hideous!!!!
Good to read that your mother is doing better, socially. Bet your sister is slowly understanding that sometimes distance is good for your mum.
I did work again outside. This time for more than 2 hours!! 2 hours after lunch, and when Kel left for work at 5, I worked for another hour and a half.
Yet there are still much to be done, plus the weeding isn't over!!!
Wish I could make money out of dandelions!!!
What's for supper y'all? Mine will be chicken pies.. the frozen kind of course!!
We just had spaghetti, and garlic toast.
I have always just poured Bailey's on my ice-cream, and stir it in. I have not seen the Hagen das in out stores either.
Goodness, you have been working hard. Please don't over do it?
Hi...Thought I better take a break, them guys are watching basketball...Breenie is out and Julia and Anthony at work...
Me and My BIG mouth!!! LOL, Breenie has Senior Prom on Friday, so...Found a dress, it's spegetti straps and low back. Very elegant.
Any way I was thinking She must have a wrap of some sort...Shawl might be too dinky, so suggested we go look at penny's or Sears, Told her if they don't have anything we can look at Joannes fabrics and I could make her a jacket!! Huh, did i say that?? oop too late, she said yeah lets go to JoAnns!! So off we go, right after zooming to get her shoes, zoom to get the dress fitted, across town, whew perfect height with shoe, no hem needed! As soon as We arrive to dress store, Jake calls to be picked up! Leave Breenie, pick up/drop off Jake and buddies, go back to dress store...Pick up Breenie head to JoAnns. Breenie decides on a jacket after 4 books, Then fabric shopping...
Oakie dokie then, Drop her off at BF...go home and proceed to read the pattern directions start to finish...Cut the needed pieces and iron them...oops still have time to pin a few pieces. DH comes home so, visit with him, We both decided we don't wanna cook...Jake gets volunteered to make the Sandwich steaks, hahah, he compromises on just tenderizing them, DH agrees, so he gets on computer, i continue pinning...I needed a break, he still on computer, So went in kitchen and prepared the vegtables to be sauted and toss tots in oven...Go back to pinning, Finally get to eat, sit on my chair to watch tv, Doze off till 2:00 A.M....Get up visit with julia and Anthony and head to bed!
This morning, grab cup of coffee, cut the pieces, pin and cut the other pieces... decided I need breakfast, so make birdie and me and egg sandwich, eat. Go back to work, in meantime get many interruptions-from Breenie! So stop work to search where she can get a facial..ok got an appt at 3:30... back to work, stop go pick up kids, drop breenie at facial, go back to school pick up more kids and drop them home...sew, sew, sew...go b pick up Sabrina...Fit the Jacket, thus far, Big cheesy grin it fits!!! Oh just then remembered I was starving, late lunch, go back to work...and Now i am stuck on how to attach this one piece, so decided to come say hello...
Anyway, think I am going to go take tiny nap...
So glad to see you Marion!!!
Jaye, wow good for you, yep don't over doit.
OHHH>>>Sue, So glad to see Jess is doing OK...I have some catching up to do, but wanted to say, how proud I am that your giving this another try...I know, it's really tough and I will just keep praying things work out. Sending you hugs...
Sistah All...The Sisatah Gathering is August weekend of 5-6-7...Glenview IL.
I can't wait to see you!! Finally We have an actual date.
yawning, not too pooped, nighters!
Seedtosser just how do you manage to do so much and still have time to stop in and visit us? I am so tired just reading what all you did. You really deserve a big ribbon for your work.
I think I over did it on the back exercises, boy my legs and hips are killing me. I should have been taking care of my back years ago, using muscles I didn't know I had. Trying to figure out how to pull all the weeds when I'm not supposed to bend over. Best bet is to get someone else to do it, well that's not going to happen. So grin and bare it and look forward to better days. LOL
Windy and cold today, all I accomplished is taking my books back to the library.
Judy, you're making me tired!!!! Make sure to share with us a pic of Bree in her prom dress please.
And I thought I did a lot.. you truly deserves a medal for multitasking!!
I'll make a note of the Sistahs' Gathering Date, Judy, on future threads.
Pegi, I roll around in my little "buddy", a bench cart that I sit on when I'm weeding.
That truly helps my back. Maybe that's why I can do more.
Give your body a rest. You don't have to tackle the weeds in one day...
Good night sistahs.
good morning
wow Judy your life sounds like mine ? almost LOL just no prom , its baseball and karate LOL
go get a good nap in today girl. you deserve it. i m so looking forward to august !
kids are coughing
today we are getting the manure out of the bed of the truck. its been in there for about 5 days and is dripping everywhere ack
hope you all have a great day
sue
Judy, slow up gal!!! Where in the world do you and Sue get all your energy?
Not a happy camper here now that the dates have been posted for the get together. With things as they are with Mom, I won't be able to come BUT mark my word......I will go to Betty's regardless. Butter tarts in the offering. LOL Seriously, although Mom seems to be doing better, we never know so it is best I stay close by for a while yet.
Today is a wonderful, special glorious day!!! 6 years and 8 months ago God closed a door for me but on this day 6 years ago He reopened a window. Happy birthday to my youngest pirate princess...Catie-Beth.
...jalepenos are a no no for me.
Happy birthday Catie-Beth. Hope you have a wonderful day!
Marion you must be so proud of those girls. They are beautiful!
LOL can't you see how big my head is? I am indeed very proud of my GDs...they gave me a reason to keep going after losing Ross. BTW the mantilla Abbi is wearing was her great grandmothers.
Good morning and a Happy Birthday to a Southern Belle, Catie Beth!!
What have you been feeding the girls? Soon they'll tower over you Marion!
BRB.
LOL Abbi comes to my shoulders and tells me next year she will be taller than me and her mother. Catie-Beth is short for now....makes up for it in other ways!!
Happy Birthday Catie Beth!!! I love her dress!!
....one of the very few times we could get her into a dress other than her ballet costume.
Marion, is her Mantilla hand made lace?
That's one treasured heirloom for sure for the next set of girls in your family.
My late grandma had tatted a set of antimacassars, and my brothers 'lost' them when they inherited my parents' home.
Got us sisters very upset.
I am not really sure if it is handmade lace or not. I am just so happy Michelle decided to let her use that for her first communion. There was some discussion as it had turned to a beautiful ivory color and her dress was so white. I must confess a few tears escaped when I saw her coming down the isle. Not ashamed to admit it..she is growing up so fast! Both girls were also christen in the gown that their grandfather had worn so there is some wonderful things to be passed in the family.
This is my favorite picture of the day.
AWW That's sweet!!
Am smiling away here. Pretty in blue, for sure.
Did Auntie Kim bake a communion cake? And who's Abbi's Godmother? Is it Kim?
When my God daughter was christened, it was a teary moment. That was 18 years ago, and I'm sure I'll be teary eyed again when she gets married!
Bear with me.. I'll make a new room later :D
That was totally an accident they both showed in that shade of blue. Kim is definitely her "buddy". No, the cake came from one of their favorite bakeries. No, Kim is not the Godmother...not Catholic but Methodist. Her Godmother was her maternal grandmother but since her death a friend of Michelles is now her Godmother.
It is surprising how we react. I don't even want to think about when they get married.......there won't be enough tissues then. LOL
Sue, it could be christening gowns for infants.
Almost all christening gowns have laces.
Jaye, how is kitty doing?
Jaye is correct, infants wear long christening gowns and their grandfather passed his own to the girls. Not only that but Catie-Beth was christened at the San Luis Mission Church and was the first baby christened there in 300 years. Now where do I have those pictures. Only fitting I guess with her Dad being an Archaelogist.
that is wonderful. What an honor for the little girl and her family....
Rimau is quite calm after the vet's visit, LK.
The pharmacist called and said his meds will be ready tomorrow. No telling what that's gonna cost us. He has hypothyroid. If he's not treated for that, he'll emaciate to death.
We just want him to live a little longer.
We were pretty surprised, that for an overpriced vet, he had 4 patients besides us at 8 this morning!
Papa Kel says he might have to work 3 jobs just for the kitties!
Yes Charleen, I concur. What a historical moment!! Bet it was in the papers too, Marion.
They want to inoculate your pets but charge you an arm and a leg. I don't like not being able to keep my animals not taken care of. Got the puppys last shot $71.00 Got a shot and he looked at him, one flea and tick pill. Can't understand it.
ooohhhhh i get it .... infant gowns .... DUH ! LOL i was thinking a ladies gown LOL like i says " i was confused " i do dat a lot.
that is wonderful to have it handed down for each generation. wow. such wonderful memories.
well i m tired
dug up daisies
dug up manure
repotted plants
dug up hydrangea's
karate
dinner
dishes
and bed time
good night
Charleen, I just told the ladies on another thread* that Rimau cost us $265. And that's without meds :*(
The country vet charges us $40 for Lola's (a Chi) annual. Hambone, being bigger will be $70. Thank God, a good friend of ours will be giving us some heartworm meds for them. You know what that can cost!
Night Sue.. I will soon take a bath and just chill!!
Had my bath and I am headed to bed. Be safe everyone.
Night Marion, I am off to bed too. I will not be online tomorrow, as I am heading to the hand specialist for my finger.
