Betty there's no tornadoes in our forecast, maybe some severe storms but no tornadoes, and that's tomorrow, they cannot tell what the weather is going to do that far out, it's ALWAYS nice by the time Dave's birthday comes around. The weather pattern has changed already and all the tornadoes are happening in Tornado Alley, not Dixie Alley. We'll be fine, everyone's on edge because of all of this Historical Flooding and Historical Tornadoes that hasn't happened since 1934, the chances of it happening again are between slim and none and slim just left town. They have the eastbound lanes of I-40 open and are expecting the westbound lanes open later today, a day ahead of schedule. As far as gas prices, oil dropped $10.00 a barrel the other day and prices are down to $3.65 a gallon here in Little Rock and are dropping more.

Make sure you use the keypad to the right of your keyboard. It won't work with the numbers on the top.

I had a really nice day too...Only MIL & SIL came for the day. LOL, all the other Moms decided to go on outings with their kids. Wow, my house was so quiet until MIL & SIL came. Kids and I just enjoyed each others company...Awe, but Alissa gave me some seeds for the vegetable garden and Anthony gave me a bottle of RC!! Aaron gave me a Harley Davidson can cooler...My kids gifted me with coupons for working in the garden, lol and a beautiful hummingbird feeder, more vegetable seeds and a stunning planter of Chick & Hens.
We had a wonderful bbq, burgers & brats.

Mary, looks like a great day you had as well! Great family photo and crawfish boil!!! So glad you and Hubs had a great first meeting.

Whew, took my chair apart this morning, lot of work involved, but it is all washed, sanded and wiped again...The back that you painted Betty is still in great shape, so I spray the water sealer on it and just needs a tiny touch up here and there, I should have enough of the blue for that purpose. This afternoon applying first coat of white...while it dries running to Home Depot to see if they can mix this color for me, sure hope so, love to be sitting in my chair tomorrow!! LOL, performed re-constructive surgery on Tin Indian, almost done! Got my baby plant for the Raise my baby swap all bundled and ready for PO, will drop it off along with envelope for LK. (finally on it's way) Stop for a lunch Break and pick up Breenie....Geeze where did the morning go?? Need to get in the garden this afternoon.

Paul finished his meetings and went out looking for alternate offices..lease will soon be up on this one and he wants to move. There is the Koslov Mall that has 2nd floor offices, he's taken a shine to that one, has 3 more to see this afternoon..when he came back we all got talking about working from home or mini offices..his 2 daughters would
find a small office in Midland or in Penetang and I would work from home..wouldn't that be a treat..but, we talked about it before so who knows? Talk about it often enough and one of these days it will come to pass.

Just incase I'd best talk to Bernie about coming and doing that office..he wasn't well for the longest time but just maybe over the next few weeks he can get it done! If not I'll have to hire a contractor.

Well I still can't get the music notes to work. I hold down the "alt" key and it won't type.

I have had a few rough days, and I have DH home on vacation. He has been at his moms...but changing plans left and right. Tomorrow is his birthday....can I send him back to his Mom.

My shoulder surgery is now next week...May 17th. Doing some "pre-op" testing for that.

I did have a nice mothers day for the most part.

Betty, the news here is showing Massive flooding down in Memphis...and said two weeks for it to even clear up and people able to go home or travel. SO you better do some research!!!

And...don't make me call you Bessie Lou....but what did the doctor say???

Debbie LOL it won't type it out on the screen, just hold down the alt then type 1 and 3 and a note shows up on the screen when you release the 3 key.

I hate it when husbands do that! You have my permission to send him back to his mom!

I have the whole Memphis flooding thing under control, remember it's part of my local news. It will all be gone by the time they come down here, I guarantee it. They're also going to vacuum up the flood waters on Beale Street by this Friday, Betty don't worry about it.

Didn't think you were going to have your operation that quickly Debbie, thought you had to build yourself up to it first..how are you feeling about having the operation, how long will you be in the hospital? Will there be someone home with you , you'll need care!

Yes the garden is all planted. Some seeds and some plants.
Any fabric will do. I like roses and cream colors. Or whatever you have on hand.
Think I have a sinus infection and not in a good mood from the pain.

Betty, my PT told me I was throwing away money and PT visits, as I only have 30 a year...already used 10. He said I will need those after surgery. So, called Dr. Hottness...who INSISTED I come up and see him, and did on Friday. He said "lets get it over with now" and he wanted me in surgery TODAY. No can do....DH's birthday tomorrow and someone needed to be there to pat him on the back. SO, having it Tuesday next week.

Yes, will have DH here and also the kids are here each part of the day. I won't even be staying over night....in and home surgery. AND start PT two to three days afterwards.

And Bessie Lou once again avoids the question about what the doctor said!!!!!!!

♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ☼,,,, humm this is FUN!! Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!! I have had a grand day. Ralph built me a homemade clay extruder!! And it cost us nothing at all. We had everything laying around the house and yard. Now I can make handles for cups, mushroom stems and coils all with just a squeeze of a trigger!! I love it!!!

I will have to take some pictures of how it works!!

I am as pain free right now as I ever am, which is to say, I always have pain, but I can mostly ignore it. Headaches are the one type of pain that Turn me into a whimpy, crying, woose of a baby!! Give me any other pain and I can deal.

I have a couple of things to get done before the big trip and will be trying top get them finished. With me being laid up for over a week I am very far behind,,,sigh,,,

Debbie we will be saying prayers for your surgery. Why did they move it up?
I went to the Dr. Today and had my knee drained. What a relief! She told me I need to wear a brace to keep it wrapped tight, so it won't swell again. I was told they have a high chance of re-filling with fluid. Just like Crissy said.

It's hard for me to understand how they can do such surgery (and others) and send patient home same day? Incredible!! As for hubby you might want to give him appropriate number of paddy wacks nothing says you have to be gentle! Now look at all those graphics..we're like kids learning something new...

Debbie are you using a desk top computer and keyboard for trying to make the musical notes? It will not work on any other keyboard. It has to be one from a desktop computer. Don't know why.

How odd, must have typed a post and there it sits on an unrelated thread..just know I sat and told you all that the Doppler, keg and blood test results will take about. Week to reach my doctor and if something is wrong I'm sure his office will call.

Doppler was 20 minutes per side of my neck, photo's didn't print out so had to have a good part of it done again..technology is something else!

Kris, trying to imagine in God's name what kind of contraption your hubby made for you?? Glad you had a sunshine day..you leave when for you vacation?

Yes I did,, I have a couple of tubs of unpainted fantasy figurines that I have been saying I will paint for about 10 years now. I have decided to re-fire them and then paint them and give them out for x-mas gifts this year. Also will be sending out other small things I can make out of clay. That way it only costs me the postage.

So today was a No day, No Josh I'm not coming to your house, No Ric I'm not running errands today, or going to my parents house. No Jamie I will not run and pick up the rototiller or your son from school. Dear Ric did all the running, mowed the grass at my parents and made Birthday dinner for JR and picked him up from school. LOL I did nothing but work in the garden all day. I could use a week of days like this before I would even make a dent in all that needs done. Of course I am so sore tonight a week of days like this might be a bit too much. I will start with a pic of my Wisteria the wonderful scent just wafted over me all day as I was working in the garden.

Crissy, they are fixing my rotator cuff, I have two "impingements" which are basically bone spurs and arthritus, and a full and inflamed bursa sack. Planning on 3 small incisions for laproscopic...told me might need four as the back one is in an odd position and lower.

Betty, he moved it up because of my pain level and because DH may no longer have a job shortly...if that is the case, we won't have health insurance either. SO...not taking a chance with a time line.

I started out moving rocks and hauling dirt. I finally finished the back corner of this bed. There was a hugh Quince sucker turned small bush along the one side that I wanted out. I started digging it last night and finally had to ask Ric to get it out as it had a tap root to China. So this morning I finished putting in the rock edge. Dug out the rest of the suckers, moved a couple of perennials, Variegated Solomon's Seal and Forget Me Nots. Added a couple of wheelbarrows full of compost.

Debbie good luck with the shoulder surgery, I had that done several years ago. My shoulder is as good as new but the PT was tough.
So I planted Begonias, Impatiens and a Diamond Frost Euphorbia. Put my little laughing Buddha out. Dug out a few plants for the swap while I was moving things around.

Holly, we should all take a leaf from your day book and use the word 'no' more often..omg just love your gardens..think I told you that a few years ago I planted a wisteria, well when I did my walk around the gardens tonight I noticed a couple of thin branches, no more than 1/8th of an inch but they do have leaf formation..doubt anything substantial will come of them
