Best/Worse/What did I learn today-visit with friends!!

Makes for a long day when you just sit and clock watch..you'd almost think I was anxious to start my weekend.

Garden Gallery guide is an interesting Gardening Guide. Just marked out everything that I know I have in my gardens, got to tell you, not much I don't..perhaps that should be the 2011 garden goal, get a plant of everything in the book and see how it does in my garden. Now there is a challenge!

Thank You Betty.............I love pictures........the ones I take (which I take a lot) . I bet people driving by sometimes think that I am nuts......sometimes lying the ground to get the right angle for a photo .......LOL and the ones I get off of the internet !

Here is my Bleeding Heart ,I have the Old Fashion (regular) and a Fern Leaf.

And my kids think I'm crazy always having camera in hand and they haven't seen me lay down to take a photo as yet! If they ever see me do so they'll be singing that old song 'they're coming to take me away' lol. Oh you guys are too young to remember that song..

Betty ,we have our Bridal Wreath planted in are plain ole crappy clay,stoney,mud soil.........But it was soooooooo full this year,not sure if it was the colder spring temps or all the rain !

Betty, with the rain they are still getting, you may want to go to plan B, unless you bring some waders! It is pretty wet, and things are stillmflooded. Theynsaid onnthe news just a bit ago, that it will take weeks before the waters starts going down.

Dianne... It's incredible to see all those bikers all together. I planned the kids trip to Washington DC and we saw SEAS of bikers... Stupid me didn't "get it" at first... then realized. It was Memorial Day weekend.... DUH !
They had a LOT of items left around the Vietnam War memorial... hard to keep the tears back to see that.....
Oh DEB! I would have to dig it up.... BUT I have a pic of me hugging VInce Gill ! If you make me.... I'll look for it... but I had just found out was pregnant with DS at the time... so THAT's how long ago it was... LOL

Now, your going to laugh...but thats OK. My "Jr. high" sweetheart..from when I was 14...found me on Facebook awhile back....and he sent me TWO Vince songs. Yeah, and I still have his ID bracelet from WAY back then! haha I have always liked Vince....wonderful man, and Amy Grant his wife isn't too shabby either! lol

That Bridal Wreath Spiraea is jut gorgeous. I often think my neighbors must think I'm a little off as I walk around the yard taking pictures, too. LOL
So I spent the day digging, potting and labeling plants for the swap tomorrow. I have approx 200 plants going to the swap. The explorer is loaded every inch of space. Even a second level to hold more trays of plants. Should have gotten a pic before we put in the shelf. But I think you can get the idea from this pic.

Deb... I can't believe I FOUND the picture ! I had forgotten that "Baby Daddy" is in the pic with me... DS's bio dad... so I didn't bother DH to scan it... I took a pic of the pic with my I-phone... so let's see if this comes out.... if not I'll wait till later and scan it...

DS is 19 years old and so this pic is 19 years and about 9 months old... I had JUST found out I was pregnant. An old friend's sister is on the left, then Vince Gill, then me, then DS Bio-Dad..... Our Radio station that I worked at had booked Vince for a Concert Promotion. That week Vince won a CMA award that shot his fame/price up and he sailed on to being famous from there.... What songs did the old Beau send to you Deb ?

Holly , I wish hubby didn't have plans to go to Norwalk to the Drag Races for the weekend ,cause he'd be bringing me to PA.........LOL Heck ,I won't even have a vehicle all weekend,Rick is taking the truck,Ryan has to work and will take my car (his motor blew up in his ).......so it's just me,the PC,the cat and the rain.....LOL. Oh yeah and my camera ....LOL

Gave up working outside around 4:30 this afternoon - there is only so many black fly bites I can tolerate.I am chock full of antihistamine so you would think I would be sleepy. NOT! Going to go buy some plants at Canadian Tire - plan to be there for opening at 8am - will use my Canadian Tire money so the plants seem like they are free. Ya forget about how much you had to spend in order to get the CT money in the first place. Betty did you see this week's CT ad? They have Wavy Petunias on sale at a great price. Since I have about 20 hanging baskets I will take advantage of that sale.
Gee Debbie, wish I had an old BF look me up on FB, all I get are relatives who you guessed it want something.Ya I too still have some jewelry tucked away from my HS BF. He was a peach and spoiled me rotten.
OK I am going to try this sleep thing again.... drifted off about midnight for an hour then bolted up in bed wide awake. Full moon and the coyotes are yipping it up! Of course Stormy has to answer back so it has been pure bedlam here.
Big storm of T and L passed by us but I am sure it poured in the village. Weather Liars say rain for at least the next 4 days.... lucky us!

Dianne storm passed us by last night as well, heavy out there this morning, can feel the rain but it could be one of those mornings that you can play out in the gardens for a few hours before it actually starts raining!! Just looked up at the clock, hmmm might drive in to CT myself, could use some wave petunia's it's what else would come home with me that I worry about. Tempted to go 'tree' hunting this morning.. There, just convinced myself to get dressed and out of here, drats, just cleaned my car of last weeks' adventure.

Have to check what time CT opens...off and running, be back to chat about last nights posts when the rain starts

Debbie I've found my boyfriend I had right after high school on FB, haven't had the guts to say anything, he's still friends with all of our old friends doing the same things we were doing when we were all 18-20, he's 40 now, he never attempted college, has never done anything with himself, never married, nothing. I'm very very glad it didn't work out, I'd be stuck in that too and I pass!

Those weather liars don't know, no one can predict the weather!!! I'm studying meteorology a little bit and it's impossible to predict the weather, fronts speed up, fronts slow down, moisture from the Gulf changes the way a front behaves and it get stronger or weaker depending upon the wind direction, they do a lot better than they used to but it's still impossible to predict, I've seen the forecast change 27 times in one week, that's why I don't look any further than 3 days out. Last Wednesday night they said that we were going to get 1 1/2 inches of rain, we didn't get one single drop here at the house, I think the total rainfall ended up being 1/8th of an inch or something.

We have hit a snag in the plans to go to Alex City. The only RV park in the area has NO internet, So I will be MIA for 3 weeks at a time!! This sould be very interesting as I have not been with out internet for that long contiuously since 1989!!

Mary,, sure wish you could go with us on our trip to Virginia. But with me adopting out most of my plants because of the move there is going to be barely enough room for the kids and Ralph and I,,heehee.

Crissy, I don't listen either...went and dug up about 5 pine tees, about 5 others, didn't stop for cedars, will do that tomorrow morning,got some lilac tree roots and then into Canadian tire..
Dianne hope you have better luck than I, only had pls of 6 for 5.98 same price but all purple..got 18 and some passes, I was like a thief in the night, hair was straight from the light mist and sweating, filthy dirty from in the ditches lol, lorry, promised someone I'd pai t them a snake rock so in a creek I was alongside of the road pickig a few so no way I was goig to stand still at CT just incase so done recognized me, look like something even a ca't would drag home! Managed to get all except a few shrubs planted before the rain, lasted for all of 1/2 hour and now stopped, just rains enough to mess things out!

So in I came, hot bath, washed my hair and a knock comes to the door, it's mom and Jim, she's doing 100% better, was cheerful and talking about my taking her away for a few days once she stronger..caught me in my jammies, said it was the first time she saw me resting and still not dressed. Lol. Didn't take me long to tell her that I'm on my 2nd shift
