Got to tell you a story, when don't I??? lol

Was driving in this morning reflecting on so many things, our speed limit here is 100 kl. and I was doing 105kl.

Noticed a van type truck behind me, lanes were all open, easily he could have passed me but he had to be as close as could be, think if I tried to put a magazine between us it would be hard pressed to do so....

I continue at my speed, guy lets a bit of distance between us and pulls out, stays directly to my left and gives me the finger...

HELLLOOO is that a nice thing to do, I was the one obeying the law..

As it happens, it's a plumbing company in the town I used to live in, in fact owner of the company is an MPP in our region..just looked up the telephone number, tried calling for about 10 minutes but line is busy..but I will call and ask if they think this individual is doing a good service representing them to the general public.

Mary, Here is a closer look at my flats. I have about 90 impatiens, 3 flats of them. Between my daughters house and my Parents and my own we will use all of those. Then there is one flat of Alyssum (about 110), then 5 flats of Marigolds each flat holds 110. That is what is on the top row. I will be moving some of the alyssum and Marigolds into larger cell packs to give away.

Well, I must run we are going to get the canna out of my son's basement today and try to get some of them planted back at my Granddaughters school. We volunteered to dig them up last fall and replant them this spring. Got to get moving.

I got behind someone doing 45mph in a 55mph last Friday going home from work, so I passed them, no biggie right? I got about 5 cars in front of him and him and his passenger both gave me the double bird! I hit my brakes and slowed to a crawl and they wouldn't even catch up to me and I have tented windows so have no idea if they saw me telling them to bring it on! They pulled over and stopped, guess I gave them a good scare, but what a couple of idiots!

Crissy, can see you doing that, thank goodness when I call the firm and asked if their trucks were maroon they said no they were tan so didn't blow my stack, not that I would have, can get more with honey!!! lol..so Dunlop isn't same Dunlop..will have to keep my eye out on the highway to see if I can get a glimpse of the telephone number.

Car dealership just called, they have my bearings in for 2 front tires, will drop car off on Friday and get a ride home with Greg, then Saturday noon go pick it up..

Went back to look at the photo of your yard holly, I want to move to your house..I can be the gardener right??? don't need much room, that shed will do the trick..

All arrivals in heaven have to go through a bureaucratic examination to determine whether admission will be granted. The first room has a clerk who inputs computerized records of what each applicant did on his or her last day of life.

The first applicant of the day explains that his last day was not a good one. "I came home early and found my wife lying naked in bed. She claimed she had just gotten out of the shower. Well, her hair was dry and I checked the shower and it was completely dry too. I knew she was into some hanky-panky and I began to look for her lover. I went onto the balcony of our 9th floor apartment and found the SOB clinging to the rail by his finger tips. I was so angry that I began bashing his fingers with a flower pot. He let go and fell, but his fall was broken by some awnings and bushes. On seeing he was still alive I found super human strength to drag our antique cedar chest to the balcony and throw it over. It hit the man and killed him. At this point the stress got to me and I suffered a massive heart attack and died.

The clerk thanked him and sent him on to the next office.

The second applicant said that his last day was his worst. "I was on the roof of an apartment building working on the AC equipment. I stumbled over my tools and toppled off the building. I managed to grab onto the balcony rail of a 9th floor apartment but some idiot came rushing out on the balcony and bashed my hands with a flower pot. I fell but hit some awnings and bushes and survived, but as I looked up I saw a huge chest falling toward me. I tried to crawl out of the way but failed and was hit and killed by the chest."
The clerk couldn't help but chuckle as he directs the man to the next room.

He is still giggling when his third customer of the day enters. He apologizes and says "I doubt that your last day was as interesting as the fellow in here just before you."

"I don't know" replies the man, "picture this, I'm buck naked hiding in this cedar chest....."

LOL too funny..great to have a chuckle..

It's dark and gloomy here, not the best of spring for sure.
Although the gardens are loving the weather, see growth each day..won't be seeing flowers though until at least June.

Good morning all,
I stopped in at home for a few minutes to check yup on all of you!!!! Heehee. I'm just home long enough to pick up clothes and then it's back to my daughter's house to keep up with the kids laundry.
I did want to post that Norm and I planted "Tubby's Tulips" -very pretty reds-in front of the yellow forsythia and they look stunning. I'm positive Tubby will be smiling down on them.

I saw the eye dr yesterday and he is scheduling my surgery for the end of the month. So I guess it's limited sewing for me for a while .. But that's okay - we all need a break now and then - even a forced one.

Absolutely gorgeous Barb...look at your trees, so in bloom but look at the size..I also have about 8 forynthia (?) bushes but none as large as yours..laughing here, you do grow everything big in USA..

Lordy, what would I love to do..?? purchase an r.v. - get a map and start at one end of the states and Canada and just travel from town to town stopping when I see something I'd like to see i.e. DG friends..now that would be my dream..

Barb, I'm going to need cataract surgery, too. They told me I have a huge one in my left eye and I can come in any time I'm ready to have it fixed.

Ohhh a cruise?? Crissy in 2012 when you all come here for a gathering (all invited of course) there is the Midland Queen..lol we'll do the night dinner cruise, how's that for temporary cruise then we'll go on to better and bigger things..

Yikes, Steve who we deal with and who is a mechanic at Camp Borden Base knew I was having difficulties with the bearings in my car..got a call that the bearings were in so booked it for Saturday, Steve said, no/no/no do you want to end up dead on the road so called the dealership, fully booked and no can fix sooner, so I called the Barrie dealership and Suzanne picked me up, will leave the car to be fixed tomorrow, only problem, only one bearing set in stock so they will check to see if the passenger side really has to be done and if so then I'll leave it for another day...

Got t.v. bingo cards for tonight, have to win that jackpot, besides, Ann said if Mike was doing ok and was resting she'd come home early incase she had to go back to palative care and would drop in..hoping she does BUT I'll have to pay attention because if she sees no car in the yard she might drive away..

YIKES big time, I no sooner get my studio cleaned that friends decide to bring things over for me..just look at the lovely pieces to paint that Dianne dropped off today. I've barely been painting for awhile and am interested on doing some floormats for decks and dining room not wood so will pick what I want and tell the girls to help themselves..just no room..also was an entire box of painting books, not magazines, high end books, most I had already so will add them to the 'please take' table for the girls..

Shaking my head here..just got rid of 2 big bins of wood and now I have 3 more...

Betty, looks like your going to be busy for awhile?
Well, I went to the Dr. And got my stitches removed, everything is fine with my knee. But I am not happy with my Dr! I ask about my fingers, and she told me she was worried about my middle finger, as the xrays still show small bone particles off to the side. I held up my hand, and showed her my swollen index finger, that I can not move very well. she told me the xrays looked good for that finger, and asked if I would like to se them? YES, I said, so we walked to her office and viewed the xrays. When I asked her what this white spots were on my index finger, she blew the picture up larger, and said, oh, I did not seem that! DUH! And she is the Dr.! So now I am going to call the specialist in San Antonio tomorrow, and see if I can get
in sometime soon? I called my lawyer, and he was out for the
day, so I will call again.
Not a happy camper today!

Definitely something major going on..glad you are contacting the lawyer..would the hotel insurance get you quicker appt or at least maybe special therapy?

Synda - so sorry I must have pooped out on you last night... I am in 8B so I suppose it's hit/miss on whether I could grow a quince... Hm...I will think about it... would need to think of a good spot ... not too hot/humid I think...LOVE that pic of Jamaica... did you get to attend the wedding?
Betty - looks like your Quince will outgrow that sign... but what a precious sign ! Holly Too funny.... I'm like you... just want to plant and plant and Hubby is trying to make me stop and think about where I put things... WOW gal... I thought those flats for swap now thinking you are sharing with family but still... that's a lot of planting. Sorry about the cataracts.. you and Barb will have to let me know how it goes. If it's genetic I'm probably in for them too one day...

Crissy - Poke looks RIGHT up my alley ... I LOVE Sashimi... but never heard of poke... I always try Ahi Tuna when I see it at restaurants... too bad Betty doesn't like seafood... think poke is something she could prepare without burning LOL...
