here is another like they used back then.........and maybe you could use fabric similar to the dresses.

I have seen them made from a large margarine tub sit inside a cloth with handle. You could make a top for it or drape it with the napkin.
No damage on my side but terrible damage in north side and west side of town. Unbelievable.

Only have a minute, and haven't read, but wanted you all to know that Kathy (Jordankittyjo) is okay. The mile wide tornado in AL passed just a mile from their house. They have no electricity, and no phone, but their place is okay (a lot of debris) and none of them were injured. She wanted me to let you all know.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. The folks are struggling, and I'm struggling with them. It's so hard to watch and not be able to do anything to help. :o(

Thank goodness for the update on Kathy!! I have been worried and it is such a relief to find out she is okay. Cookie, sending as much love and strength as I can to you and your family. Take each day as it comes and please try to remember to care for yourself. It is hard to do at times...I know.

Today was Abbigail's first Communion and I must say it was beautiful. So meaningful and a joy to be able to be a part of the celebration.

She is "hanging" in there Cookie. It is a day by day situation, as you are well aware. I did come home for awhile as Hospice told us that it could end up being a long ordeal. They told me they would call me at any changes during their weekly visits and check ups. Her mind is still great and we can't seem to fill her up with food any more. Sending love and prayers your way. Love you gal!!!!

Marion, glad to hear she has an appetite! You get plenty of rest while your home!

I plan on resting as there isn't much I can do for the next 2 weeks. I haven't a clue why the Doctor is placing me on as restricted list as he is after the eye surgery unless the effects of the old injury is having something to do with it. Oh well, I can only look at my yard--no working outside. Maybe, just maybe I can sew some. That would be about the best if I can.

I miss Jaye!!!!...and Kathy and all the others who have not been on in a while.

I have got both dresses finished, but need to take a picture of Taylor in her's. With her being sick she may not be able to go on the field trip. Last year when she was sick with this she missed 6 weeks of school. I will be going up to my daughter's tomorrow to drop it off so will get a picture then. It is also my mom's banquet night and I am helping her with that. Then home early in the morn as Doug gets cortisone shot in his neck tomorrow. We are not speaking to each other right now and he is at the bar. GRRRRRR!!!! men!!

PG&E have been putting in new gas lines. While digging they hit sewer line in 2 places. The plumb company has been repairing them. They finished today but as the truck was backing down the alley this is what happened.......

That truck didn't get centered over those metal plates that were covering the hole which is about 3 feet wide and about 5 feet deep. It was too close to the edge and it caved in.

Well it is over between Doug and I. When he came home from the bar he was like an angry bull. Yelled at me and twice now he has said that he is going to kill himself.

With the money I am getting from insurance company I have enough to move out. When I get back from Carson City I will begin looking for place for me and Harlee.

Cindy big big big hugs, I'm so sorry it's not working out, but if that's his true colors you don't want to marry that. You deserve so much better. I'm glad you're not putting up with it.

thank you everyone for your prayers during our devestation. i went to tuscaloosa today to take grandson to the dr. i threw up when i saw what the tornados had done there. my grandson yelled gram look burger king is still standing. it didn't get blown away!

Spoke with Jaye ,and after getting the PC yesterday and getting home they realized it didn't come with a dial up modem so back to the store ,well that store was out ,so off to another store .Got the modem but was late and both are not still feeling well with colds.Now today Kel had to tend to his mama and papa.so hopefully tonight he will be able to get it up and running in cyber space........Jaye is bursting with anxiety to hear it purr ~~~~~ it's kinda like getting a new toy and no one having any batteries ...... LOL. But she said ,WHEN she is finally able to let her fingers do the walking on the keyboard she will blow in like a hurricane and we all can toast her homecoming with Virgin Screwdrivers.......ROFLMBO !!!!!!!! So all we can do it set back with GREAT Anticipation of her Grand Arrival !!!!!!!!!!!

Sue after 15" of rain in 2 days I have to say I'm wonderful! It's sunny and a little nippy at 65* but it's so much better than storms! Synda I'll take the storms anyday over tornadoes.
