Thought before the afternoon and night shift gals arrive all wound up with much to say that I would move us into the sitting room...

Yes it is raining, but I've the fireplace on, bread is baking, potato soup simmering and I'm just thinking of desert, don't worry, we've time to chat, when the others get here I can set the table!!

Don't you mind the wind, our laughter will sound it out!!

Betty - hope your headaches are subsiding - those don't sound like good BP readings, but I don't know much about it. Listen to the others - sure they know more than I. Take Care Of Yourself, and take your meds!!!!!!!! (pulling out my stern voice Just For You, Betty!!!)
Debbie - "oooooh shiny object" of mine just called and I answered with "Hi sweetheart - what are you wanting to buy" cuz Every time he calls when he's out, something's caught his attention... siiiiiiiigh - this time he's in a Sports store and is looking at Kettle balls. I told him "buy 2 - 8lb and 10lb and I'll get it reimbursed through work." and he kept on about other things and wanting me to go with him to the store. I said I'm still babying my knee, so it continues to heal. He kept trying LOL bless his little "ooooooh shiny object" heart LOL

Omgoodness - love to all! And thoughts and prayers to all in need, cuz we ALL need 'em!

LOL Betty the coal is for heat. We heat our home with a wood/coal stove. We do have a few electric baseboard units for back up but most of the heat comes from the stove. Our house is also passive solar so we get a good bit of warmth on sunny days. Between the stove and the solar I have been known to run around in shorts and tees for most of the winter and sometimes we must crack open the doors or windows to let a little out.

Also wanted to say Thanks about the Bathroom. Dh uses all different kinds of tile. Our's is a mix of Travertine, Lime stone with granite accents. How cool you were rocking with Janice Last night, had me singing Oh Lord won't you buy me a color tv.
Me, well was cruising around DG, just lurking, was trying to get some ideas to make my bouquet.
So with that had to give a call to Boston and talk to Nicole to see what kind of flowers she likes...Can't beleive i had a hard time understanding her accent!! LOL...We had a good laugh, I was telling her I was actually thinking about water type floral, She is just graduated got her Doctruate in Marine Biology...so she said you mean like seaweed?? hahaha, I busted out laughing, said arent you a Marine Biolgist, how come you don't know about sea floral, hahaha, she said no, she studied fish!! laughed some more and decided we will go with a traditional floral!!

LOL at your burnt lunch! The fires about about 20 miles North of us, and about 40 miles South of us. Then lots of fires in North east Texas, by Dallas and Houston area!

Well, Todd & I just got our taxes done. We don't have to pay back this year! Deadline is Monday, so that is out of the way!

Stormy, gloomy very rainy day here. Probably very much like Betty and Debbie are experiencing.
Relaxed now I know Kris and Gooper made it to the RU safe and sound. Just waiting to hear an update of all the great activities going on. Don't ya just wish you could be there or at least a fly on the wall listening to all the excited chatter or babble as my babe calls it.
Oh Holly "mais oui" those French speaking men have an accent that can make any warm blooded woman feel faint at the knees. When I was on the show circuit with my SG several of the artisans had French as their first language. Used to ask them questions just tto hear them talk.lol "My boys" ( had a family of adopted 3 boys on the road and I was their adoptive mom on the road) who moved to Ontario from Sask. French was their first language and hangin with those guys helped me learn more French than all of HS and 2 years of University combined. All of the French Canadain males I have run into or worked with were all very courteous and polite. Held the door open for you, held your chair so you could sit - one could used to that treatment very quickly. I fed the boys and they drove me to the shows each day, helped me load the truck if DH wasn't there and basically spoiled me rotten. Not having any kids sure made me appreciate how well these boys/men were raised by their parents.

Judy, PT is physical therapist/therapy. Or physical terrorist as Dianne calls them...and AJ just smiles when I call him that. I have been going 2 X a week now...and I can feel the muscles starting to respond, although it is sore.

Susan, I just bought two weights yesterday per AJs suggestion. I was using a soup can....and a bottle of water....but the grip on it just wasn't right. SO picked up a 2lb and 5 lb weight for my exer-terrorist--sizes. AND at least now I can do the left and right sides at home...instead of just the right side at the therapy center. "I will be buff" haha! Least maybe I won't knock myself out with the "wings flappin" if I get in shape.

I just put two roaster chickens in the oven with some garlic, lemon and and butter. Everyone will be home from work about the same time...and most likely hungry.

WELL, I just realized next Sunday is Easter. Dear heavens, NOT good! The girls have been helping more as in bringing dishes. Can you believe they are throwing a FIT because I told them I wasn't doing Easter Baskets....that the bunny said they were TOO old and took them off his list! Of course might get them a plant for their garden...but none of us need all that candy. Will do for the younger two...but the older two, done! lol

Ok Susan, I saw those at the PT office. There it is more of a colorful weighted plastic....but same issue. Probably just padding over that so someone doesn't drop it on their foot.

LindaKay, in same boat as you, potholder and block swap have yet to be done and cloche is a ticking on one of them..too bad we didnt have each others name as we would feel better about not getting them done, either of us would not mind getting them late! Yikes on the fires..do you have bushland near you that you'd have to worry about having fire right in your neck of the woods..so much destruction year after year..amazing you've still got forest left.

Feet are up, laying on the couch, wonders of the iPad..thought I'd get up and take my bp, never used a home machine before but shouldn't be hard then will have a nap... Usually about now I take pills to quell the headache but not sure I should do so with the pill I took??? Don't want to overdose...lol

Betty, all around us there is lots of shrubs, and trees, and all of it is bone dry. We have had no moisture here for more than 65 days now. Our humidity today is only 6%. Not good, with all the fires, and high winds near by!
What kind of pills are you taking for your blood pressure Betty? You can always go to www.webmd.com, and look up all kinds of info on any pills. Side effects, what not to take...

Oh yeah, meant to answer your question before.
We will be flying to Boston on May 26th and coming home on June 2. The Wedding is the 28th.at the Commander's Mansion in Watertown.
But we are going to be staying in NH!! Only 1 hour from Barb...Have to look up the resort again, lol...Looks wonderful, Mountainous view!!! Wow The Best man and Maid of Honor are performing the Ceremony! I was kind of floored to hear such a thing, Kind of cool!!

Betty, I am not exercising IN the buff! Good lordy, I would scare even myself! I am getting the muscles "buff" as in shape! lol

I have a BP machine here. You just wrap it around your arm...with the arrows on the cuff placed at the mid/elbow arm area....and push start. Sit still....do not talk. It helps to lay your arm on a pillow when your doing it.

I have a little BP for the wrist and really like. The night I had my heart attack it was 190 over 111 and pulse was 88 .

Betty, it is OK to take pain meds while taking the BP medicine, no problem there. I have taken Ibuprofen with my right along...as well as acetomeniphin (tylenol).

You MUST wait 15 minutes between blood pressure readings. It will just make it go higher if you do it one right after the other.

Yes, your top number is near normal....but the bottom number is not. Until they both come down...its still elevated.

Rest....get something healthy to eat ...low salt...and rest! (Stern finger shaking)....and some hugs.

yes drywall is hung but I get to do the mudding which is not done yet.

Hey all!!! We are back in Dothan and getting settled down for the night. Goober is watching TV with Robert, James and I are enjoying the night air on the back porch.

We had so much fun today! Gave Mary/4004 tons of big hugs, She is sooo sweet in person! We are going to try to get together agin one day when we can spend more time just chatting. Goober had the best time and behaved so good. She charmed everyone and I think they really enjoyed meeting her. I had my back turned trying to get all the plants to the people I promiced them too and the next thing I knew Goobe rhad filled the SUV to the gills with new plants. I have not unloaded them yet as we are still not home, however I think there is well over 100 plants!! I will be uploading pictures tomarrow night.

Got to go, being a rude guest!!
