Nice hellebore, Robin
Nice Allison
Love that primrose
Spending Spree part 5
I don't grow them, but they sure are pretty. I have other very nice ones, too.
Karen
Primula, I do, and love them. Here are a few of them. They are really starting to bloom. I divided a bunch of them today. The more the merrier.
I am going to the Daffodil and Primula show at Tower Hill this weekend. Like I really need more Narcissus and then I am zipping back to catch the Narcissus show on Sunday. I recently wrote an article about Historic Narcissus, so I am anxious to see how many of the older ones are being shown. Patti
More, then I am off to bed. Taking the early boat off Island. I won't be getting my Davidsan order until I get home late Sat. night. After seeing Victor's, I am excited. I have one more coming from Topiary too. I planted things until it was too dark to see. It was very damp with a heavy fog moving in, it was weird to be out so late and listening to the fog horns. Night all. Patti
WOW, Patti what a primula selection you have!
very nice everyone.
They are nice. Thank you for the pictuer tease. I am glad I ordered a couple. I never know what new plant is going to kick the collecter in me into high gear and since I am increasing the shade bed this year...........

Beautiful collection Patti!
Bill, Nice choices. (I had to look them up;))
Patti, are you going to get more Primulas at the show?
thx weeze
may have to add some primula's next year only a few here right now
Wow.....super collection of primroses, Patti.....I guess I need just a few more!
I'm officially overloaded with plants. Graceful Gardens just got here.
Same here. B&B and FW arrived today.
Can u ever really be overloaded?
I will take my pilgrimage to Gilbertie's within the next day or so. They are the suppliers to the local centers. Their herbs are amazing and so are their prices. I need self control.
I have no self control. I am waiting on roses from Chamblee's and Austin, Have 3 flats coming from Graceful Gardens and I just ordered at Annie's Annuals. I still have to hit my local places that have already started emailing! I also have over a thousand seedlings going. I really need to be laid off for the summer just to get everything done.
i was told the other night that it is christmas 356 days a year for me by my better half. It is up to a box a day right now.
And the problem is....? LOL Cathy, I buy Gilberties herbs at Ward's Nursery in Great Barrington....they are wonderful....
What happens the other 9 days?
Great Barrington, Mass.? Do you hit Catherine's Chocolates? I am from that way originally and we still drive there at least once a year for the raspberry creams.
Used to go there with my aunt & uncle when I was a child.....haven't stopped in quite a few years.....I liked the chocolate-coated orange rinds.....
HCG's came today!!!!!... looking good too

oopsie... they sent a red rocks and not a raspberry delight
Robindog, they're not far from Exit 17 from I-95 if you're ever down this way. If you're buying more than one or two plants, it really starts to add up. I like that I can get pond plants there and wetlands/marginals as well as herbs, flowers and bushes. I can drop $75 in 15 minutes.
hcg customer service is good... they are shipping out the right plant without a hassle
Wow those look good Allison, have some agast. & salvia!
ooooooohhhhhhhh just a few... LOL
my hcg order came too - not impressed will not order there again. conifers were smaller than the 4" pots i got from stanley and sons and cost 8x more. plants from bluestone arrived and all are bigger than the few i got from hcg.
tomorrow should be a big day - davidsans maples should arrive:)
Give Bloom River a try for conifers.
I've given up on HCG, lost most of the things I bought. I don't necessarily blame that on the nursery, more that the plants are not suitable for my climate.
yeah that wouldn't be my first choice for plants like that
Weeze... some I will bring in for winter... and treat some like annuals... but if they come back I feel blessed
There are some things I freely admit.....1 is that I'm not good at overwintering plants inside, so they gotta make it outside :) But when something makes it, though not expected, it is a great feeling!
I know the agastache has the best chance to survive when I plant them in spring... hoping some of the salivas do to .. only one way to find out
Got my HCG order today, looked great. Some were even blooming!
love it when they show up with blooms!!!
HCG is def for those hot dry spots and if you don't have any it's not worth it
Allison, I got the 'Blue Lips' penstemon from them last year and it made it through the winter just fine. So did the Penstemon pinifolia 'Mersea Yellow'.
Karen
oh I can pat myself on the back .. I grew mersa yellow or orange from seed ... should be there year to shine this year.. the blue salvia and penstemon were down to zone 4 I think.. my hummers should be very happy
