City-slicker = You
Country bumpkin = Me

Yes we do ;)
Bait & lunch store....standard in Maine.....went fishing with stepson Mike on Stanley Pond, & we got both together....very handy! I've had fiddleheads, but don't like them....can't believe the dog ate the whole ham! My neighbor's weimerarmer walked into my kitchen & took a zucchini bread off the counter.
well at least it was veggie!!!
:)
LOL
The things we put up with LOL!!
My dogs have eaten whole dinners to whole couches!
nice having little dogs sometimes.. LOL
what a goof... too cute
Cute!
The Keeshond we had stole a pork chop right out of the broiler
LOL! Your dogs eating the bag of bone meal cracked me up, Ronnie!
Thanks for all the compliments on patches. Yes, Weeze, she is half Basset and half Dalmatian. Your kitty is so cute. What a ham, and no shame! Dex is cute, too.
I had a dog who ate a whole plate of chocolate chip cookies I had up on the counter. Also one time ate all the filling out of a pumpkin pie and half out of a second one that were cooling on the counter. Yes, she loved counter surfing.
I have a bag of doggie treats that sits on a shelf in my bedroom that Patches can reach easily. in fact it's at her eye level. She never tries to get into them. They are in a zip container. She could easily chew it up and get the treats. Guess that never crosses her mind. Odd...

DH can leave an open bag of chips on the coffee table and Bella never touches them, our other dogs would have gotten into an unopened bag.
that would not happen here Deb... if we leave a soiled napkin on the coffee table.. they will even eat that
Oh goodness!
Eros & Hope love to chew paper still... left over food is a bonus
Jily must be feeling better finally... Lily Jily & Hope are all running around playing.. spring hormones I gather.. what we call the h dance.. you can fill in the blanks
Patches makes me 'confetti' when ever she gets a chance.
Here's Romeo curled up in his favorite spot. This christmas lap blanket he's laying on was $5 during the holiday season, picked it up for a dollar on the clearence rack. Brian stuck a heating pad under it and turned it on low....now you know why it's Romeo's favorite spot. ^_^
and I thought my guys were spoiled!!!
:)
:)
Awww, Romeo is so cute!
Karen
Weeze, that's one handsome kitty! Love all the photos! Romeo has beautiful stripes, the males are all so nicely marked.
Dogs are the only ones that "help themselves" you know. One Thanksgiving we had no bread because HollyCat got into the package of ready-to-bake loaves and ate part of each of them! I had a kiddie lock on my old fridge because Wallingford could open the door if it wasn't latched tightly and help himself to anything that was in it. The bad part was he never closed the door and everthing got ruined when I came home from a 14 hour work day! The Thanksgiving ritual at my house is I cook and the guest watches the food and protects it from the cats. Guess that is why we only eat at my house every other year.
Wow....my cats never did things like that....but, they ate my fern!
We had a dog years ago, "Tara The Wonder Dog", she ate an entire 20lb plate of italian cookies while we were out. We came home and there was the platter on the table, empty except for the candied almonds. Never even got sick!
wow.. just amazing
That is amazing!
Got an email from the airedale rescue....showed Max who lives on Cape Cod celebrating his 16th birthday....and he still looked terrific! Mine is almost 9, & is still puppyish....those airedales are amazing.
Pets do live longer these days and for the most part, that is a blessing.
LOL....yes, for the most part! A couple came into the feed store today with 2 male elkhounds....told them I had one over 30 years ago, & when she approached 15, got an Irish wolfhound. A man who was with them said he had had 2 wolfies , but when the second one died at age 4, he bought a spinone instead....I told him we went with airedales......I think he made the better decision!
Spinone - had to look that one up - new to me. "Wash and Wear" dogs - LOL!
