Debbie - we are not going to Canada until August. The week of the 21st. So we would be coming back through NY on the 25th/26th. That would be so nice to be able to meet.

Linda, I will be having shoulder surgery. Trying to figure out when to fit it in.

Shane is a Senior, and graduates June 24th. Lots of activities leading up to that time. Then....and this is another issue Barb, moving him to college sometime the end of August. BUT...will work with it.

Betty, things are "processing" and DH did some running to get some more updated paperwork to the housing agency today. The mortgage company called them this morning...that they needed this updated. Which means they are working on us now. Deep breath.....very nervous.

Betty please please please....rest this weekend and let that medication work.

Debbie,with negotiations still in process,the need for more paperwork just has to be good news!! Guess they gave no indication as to when you might expect to hear? Debbie I will be a good girl..I do though have to go get new tires at 8am..called and asked what he was doing tomorrow morning, have to be 100 miles towards Owen Sound for Noah' hockey tournament then in town for a funeral..asked if time could change but told him no that I've been waiting 2 weeks for appt. Did not tell him I wasn't well..I'm more than capable of doing it, only 10 minutes from here and should not be more than 1 hour.

Debbie your pt sounds so painful..know you have to get well before they operate but shucks I think less pain having the operation.

I will be honest Betty, PT is very painful. BUT very necessary, and I know the pain is just the muscles regrouping and getting back in shape. SO, it is much needed....and expected. Might be nice to get myself in shape for some of our outtings! lol

Betty, Betty see what did I tell ya. I knew that was the culprit all along. I'm thanking the dear Lord right now that you listened and went. I know you will feel alot better soon, and yes they can't reduce it too fast, but it will get better. get plenty of rest and take the meds. I will tell you that sometimes they have to try different ones till they find the one that really works for you.

Debbie I had the shoulder cuff repair and the elctrodes they are doing will help, but if they have it set too high it can hurt terrible and do more damage. So please don't be afraid to tell them if it is terribly uncomfortable.

It was a crazy day but everyone is gone. Both of the girls ended up coming and Tubby's sis from town and her DIL. They brought KFC with them for lunch. Had a nice visit and looked through the pictures. The girls promised to bring them all back and the video they are paying for. I will call the one in Wis. and have her look through her pictures and she can e=mail them to the girls.

Tubby is tucked in bed, his day wasn't real bad, but he is tired and sleeping right now.

Bev if you don't hear soon you should take him to the ER. I'm sure he doesn't want to go, if he is having pain when he urinates he may have a urinary tract infection and they can be very painful. Do get it checked out ASAP. I know you will and I'm sure you don't need my advice. Please know you guys are in our hearts and prayers. A big HUG to you both.

Kyle had the big bike out and dropped in for a visit...nice to see bike time for that reason alone

I'm glad Shirley all the visiting isn't too hard on "tubby" and you emotionally,draining I'm sure..so many memories packed away in photo's aren't there...hopes/dreams and the coming together of families through marriages..I sat a few years ago and divided all the photo's I had should something happen to me so each family member would have those that mean something to them..sure hope they get a video for you!

Shirley - I thought about you and TUbby... Since traveling.. I stopped at "my place" in Mississippi around 6:30pm and got 2 pc KFC original dark... very difficult to drive and eat finger lickin good chicken ! (without using the left thumb too) ROFLOL!

Anyway -rolled into Crestview, FL around 9p... checked into Country Inns & Suites.. ran to a Wallyworld about 1 minute away... got some wine, cough medicine and bath salts.. I'm wired and excited and will check back in a bit and hopefully write more...

Drove through Tornado warnings all though LA, Miss, and Alabama... thought about YOU Crissy ! Elf.. hope you lucked out with weather... thought about you too... BAD winds but no rain on my trip so I'm lucky...

Heck... thought about you all on my way here... heard a rock song.. thought about Judy...something to remind me of everyone. My plants are loaded in the Tahoe...

Betty I am soooo glad that you got that BP checked. Like Shirley I had a feeling all along but of course none wants to wish something on someone. I can just imagine the looks that you got...... took DH to ER in Kingston once when his BP was racing. There must have been 40 peole waiting but once they took DH's BP the triage nurse plumped him in a wheelchair and took him right in. Some lady waiting said that had better be good cause I have been waiting 7 hours. Gulp, I just shrugged my shoulders and but my nose in my book. You are a VERY lucky lady that you didn't stroke out on all of us.
Had a Joplin feeling tonight so I have been sitting here with my earphones on rockin out to Janis!Guess I should turn it off and find my way to bed but now I just want to continue bopping.

Hey all, We made it. It took 4 hours to drive 100 miles!!!! I had a couple of bad moments on the road with high winds, cars driving to fast, and then we had to stop to buy Goober some shoes!! Her shoes were so tore up that I made her throw them away and got her new ones!! She forgot to change into her school shoes this morning and had on a pair that were all holey and nasty.

Anyway we took it slow and are now tucked into our bed. I stayed up late talking to James, it is hard to beleve we have been friends for over 20 years. Goober and Robert abondoned us early!!

Going to try to sleep now, Cannot wait to meet Mary in the morning!!

Mary you are too funny. I don't know what time you'll awaken after having a glass for all of us. I was worried the bottle wasn't big enough to make a toast to us individually. We been up since 3 and Tubby has just gone back to bed. He was too uncomfortable in the recliner. The girls are coming back today. I just pulled a pan of rolls out of the oven. They sure smell good. I'm having some coffee and than I will lay down again for awhile if the dogs haven't taken all the room.

Morning, not raining as yet, winds are high enough to pick up that little Aveo on the way for tires this morning..

Sat here reading posts had a chuckle or two, well maybe three while my bath was running with coffee in hand...as I walked to the bath I was thinking if Mary had a drink for each of us she just might be in headache city this morning..thinking this as I stepped I to the bath, yowzer yowwwwwser, took about a sec to jump out, who is the idiot that filled with boiling water, must be me as I'm the only one in the house!!

Kris, proud of you as well, anxiety while driving makes for a hard trip..winter driving here gets the nerves going so know from where you came, but you did good girl..hoping you've all had a good night sleep and ready to take on the day..are they calling for storms today? You all will have so much sunshine within it really won't matter..

Dianne, was laughing, but not laughing yesterday in the triage, could see everyone looking so I'll and tired of waiting and here I epwalk in and out within minutes..did feel good though!

Guess you wear the headset so that you don't wake hubby and the neighbors..are the wireless?? Bought hubby a set for Christmas one year, blasted he said he didn't have a hearing problem but tv was on soo loud I could be down the road and hear it as well as he!! Didn't tell him it was because he was deaf but told him it was for the surround sound, thought it was neat!

Oh My Betty, That is pretty serious please take good care of your self. If the high BP is the cause of the headaches you have been that way for quite a long time. Hopefully once they get it under control the headaches will be a thing of the past.
Judy, I have never been to Boston. I have a cousin that lives there. She is a teacher and went up there years ago for a teaching job. I have an open invite to crash on her floor anytime I want. I keep thinking I should head North for a vacation.
Shirley, I think of you very often. So hard for you going thru this and extending yourself to Tubby's family. So very generous of you to host people that you must have had unpleasant relationships with. Your love and care for Tubby during this hard time must be making all this much easier for him. Very big hugs to you.
LindaKay, Good for you such a positive attitude. PT is hard and painful but your attitude will help pull you thru and your hands will be much the better at the end of the PT sessions. Yes, do tell them the electro machine is set up too high it should feel tingle not like painful shocks.
Mary & Kris, You will have such a great time at RU. DIdn't you say this was the first one you attended? You will be talking about it forever. They are so very much fun, the plants, food and especially the friends.
LOL about Goobers shoes, I have been known to stop at a store an buy JR clothes or shoes because I wanted to take him somewhere and he showed up here for a weekend stay with the most God awful things packed. It's not that he doesn't have nicer things but I think his Mom just tells him to pack up some clothes for Grams house and he shows up with favorite shirts that are way to small, holey PJ pants as the only pants packed and no socks. LOL

Not too sure they are calling for rainstorms in our area. So whatever we do it will be inside. I will let him play computer games for awhile yet but we do limit that. He likes board games so we will do that for awhile maybe a movie. I don't think we will go anywhere but we will see how Ric is feeling when he gets up. He had a pretty rough day yesterday and has been doing a lot of heavy work outside. JR's Dad came the other day and plumbed the water hydrant to the GH so Ric unloaded a ton of coal and then went and got a load of stone and filled in the ditch, laid a stone walkway by the barn gate. Moved a whole lot of dirt, worked on the longer ditch up to the house for the electric line and stopped up at my parents house and put down lime on my Dad's lawn. With all the work he has done the last few days and the colder damp weather I expect his arthritis is probably going to be yelling at him today. We were out for diner with friends last night and had such a good time.

My DH will be repairing the hole in the wall my oldest (21) fell down the stairs and put head through the wall.(she is ok but you should see the wall)

My SonIL made a video from family pics for my daughter. Her father died very unexpectedly from heart failure several years before my daughters wedding. My SIL took a lot of old pics of him and the kids and put together this video to the music of Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s medley “Somewhere over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World,” . It was very beautiful and they played it at the very beginning of their Wedding reception. Really made her feel that he was there. She gave copies to her siblings. Wow, you all have been busy!!!

I had a rough night, all new meaning and understanding of "feel the burn". LOL

Oh Shirley, those rolls smell so good...I think I put on a few more pounds. LOL I have my coffee and was planning on sleeping in...but the dog had other ideas.

We have pouring rain here....and the dog got me up, so she could go outside and LAY in the rain!! So now I have 90lbs of wet dog locked in the kitchen and I am not talking to her.

Mary & Kris, so happy you all made it safely. Mary, be careful with that wine and coffe syrup combo woman!!! Let me hold that wine bottle for you....its better with two! haha Kris, glad you were able to get Goober some shoes...they grow so fast and just wear out shoes quickly.

DH had to get up early to go to the dentist (cleaning) and then has to go to work. He is back to dentist on Monday for a crown....ouch.

"The Child" just left for work and I have to get the other one up shortly, he has work at 11:00. He didn't get home til 11:00 last night...and goes back in this morning. THANKFULLY he is on Easter break this week.

Back from town, new tires on, didn't mind the $300 for tires, nor our 13 percent taxes but what I do mind is the $5.85 per tire tax the gmt has imposed...think all and all taxes came up to $65.40 doesn't seem right does it! Oh well, couldn't keep driving on winter tires....still hear a howling sound though, spoke to Lenny when he dropped in to give me blood pressure machine, he says it's normal for new tires, before it was winter tires working on dry pavement and says with the headaches being so bad the sounds are exaggerated!

Headache was minor this morning but just to activity if the past 1 1/2 has brought it back big time so my thought are to sit quiet for awhile, put steam and seam on fabric and I can sit and play cut outs..
Very stormy out there, anything not grounded is flying around..would imagine Dianne you are either getting same or it's on your way..perfect kind of weather for soup and homemade bread..think that will be on this mornings agenda

Barb, bet if Judy is driving, she will drop in or ixf not, you will travel to Boston to meet up right..omg that is wonderful..I know, early stages in planning! You'll so get a kick out of her, she's so wired for sound..just got to love her!

Ohhh for you sewers, you know I'm doing. 3 -12 months of Christmas quilts..saw the one yesterday at the quilting shop when I dropped in for steam and seam and the last month has 12 stockings various Xmas patterns then white fur for the cuff vs alternate christmas fabric..not sure if I like the idea of the fur..will have to take photo and let you all decide

No doc. He just put him on 1000mgs of Cipro for a week. He goes to see him next Friday. They didn't get the script till 5:40 last night and had to fight bad storm all the way home,but all is good but no difference in amount of blood loss yet. We will see. I think his kidneys are really failing now because he doesn't go very much as of yesterday. HUGS TO ALL BEV

Keep soaking those fingers if it gives you relief..you must be finding it difficult to do anything and while you try imagine it frightens you that you might hurt them further..guess your sewing has been out of the question..with six weeks of not focusing well I'm really behind, mega behind..putting a block together that I had to piece, will post when I finish and you can tell me if you'd send it out..with behind so far behind hate to not make use of it!

Oh Bev, not a good sign when kidneys start failing..perhaps the doctor will hospitalize him for a bit..strengthen him up while you do the same at home...is the weather a bit better for you today? How far must you travel for meds?? Am sure Debbie and I passed it once or twice. Lol

Betty, are your ankles swelling at all or your hands? Try and elevate them when your resting....and no tight clothing.

Bev, give Scotty some extra fluids with that medicine to help push it thru system.....and some cranberry juice if you have it handy. It helps!

Raining buckets here...and a cold rain it is! Took Shane to work and was soaked just going from the driveway to house and back.

Go get meds at Walmart 12 miles south of us in Carlinville. If this is what is happening he will be in hospital soon. He sees the doc next Fri. The doc said two yrs ago that kidneys were failing. Thanks Debbie,yeah he drinks lots of fluids hon. Going to rain next 5 days. I need to do things in the house but feel like my b----- is glued to chair. LOL I haven't even got my bills paid yet and that is not me !!!! I feel numb. O have got to get some of that energy from Betty.

Debbie - "oooooh shiny object" of mine just called and I answered with "Hi sweetheart - what are you wanting to buy" cuz Every time he calls when he's out, something's caught his attention..... siiiiiiiigh - this time he's in a Sports store and is looking at Kettle balls. I told him "buy 2 - 8lb and 10lb and I'll get it reimbursed through work." and he kept on about other things and wanting me to go with him to the store.
