Love the wisteria Kris, don't think the do well here but I did plant one near a post holding birdhouse..branch is thin but guess it takes years to get what you have..just awesome.

Debbie sending you arm wraps...know you need some as well..it's been a rough beginning to 2011 for a great many of us..only thing that has kept many of us going is the friendship that is shared here.

Laura, wonder if it would live in a container? I have similar, well not really similar but it's called white lace vine...had to cut them down because of closing in the back deck..

Got off at 3pm went and had things checked re eyes and blurred vision/headaches...doctor told me wit new glasses I have 20/20 vision..assistant looked where the bifocals are , dotted them and perfect..manager said he'd refund me BUT no sense doing that if the problems I'm having are due to something else.

Minor problems, just aggravating!

Migraines are not MINOR!!

Ok, I have a MINOR / MAJOR problem. Some of you may know that I have only recently started driving again. And I absolutely can not drive in the rain. They are predicting THUNDERSTORMS both Friday and Saturday which is when I will be driving down to the RU.. What to do, What to do. I guess I need everyone to take a great big breath and blow the storms away from me and goobers driving path...lol. Seriously I am just about panicing already, I have checked the weather about 40 times already today hoping that the front will either blow though early, ( my idea of heaven ) or stall and wait till Monday to move in and we are home safe and sound!!

it is very hard to "tell or be told" that the "end" may be near, but in the long run I truly believe it is better to know. so that all concerned can "give all the love and support there is to give", and spend as much time together as possible.....

Every year since roger's death Greg has brought me a dozen daffodils 1st week in April for cancer awareness month..found it odd he hadn't done so this year, well tonight he had the wrapped bouquet in hand, said he called and I wasn't home, had been in buffalo that weekend and he forgot he put them in his refrigerator...well, they still had not opened, tightly closed so imagine by tomorrow they might be open for me to enjoy.

Kris, I have a few friends who have anxiety attacks driving when it's raining...is there someone you could invite who might drive you? As Laura said, weatherman has tendency of being wrong so don't panic
Until you have to make the decision...you sure wouldn't want to be driving if you have issues..not worth taking you taking chances.

Thunder, have you been talking to your son? Doing ok..see Lakawana lost a young man yesterday..always think of you moms worrying about your boys..you sure do have courage

Going to call it a night, Kyle downloaded something for headaches on my iPad, God bless his soul, told me it's suppose to work..need headset on because it's got a dual noise feature meant to clear the head...try anything once...lol

I have Tubby tucked in bed and hopefully he will sleep a little better this evening. The girls came out today and we had a nice visit. The youngest one and her family are coming back tomorrow. The older one thought she may wait till Thursday, but I told when ever it was convient for them that we would be here. His Mother will be here tomorrow some time. I think I will go down in a bit and get my pjs on and come back up to sleep tonight. If I know he is resting comfortably I will go down later. I need to run into town tomorrow early before anyone comes and get a few things. His ex is coming out Wed., she is a great person and we all are vey close.

I want to Thank you all for all your thoughts and prayers. Kris that is a beautiful passage and thank you for sharing it with everyone. Yes, I can't begin to imagine were we would all be if it wasn't for the friendships we've shared here. You have become very close to my heart as I know you've been to Tubby. He always has a big smile on his face when he talks about "his gals" on DG.

Bev & Scotty and Ann & Mike our prayers are with you also. Just to let you know we are walking this path together and we are never alone.

I'll check back tomorrow sometime and see how you all are doing. I've tried to catch up on everything, but I know I will have to reread it all again. The wisteria is absolutely beautiful and yes I've read where the white lace vine can be very aggressive but sure is pretty. Okay enough for now will touch on everything else later.

Horrendous storms here all afternoon. The house was a rocking and a rolling. You could put your hand on the wall and feel the thunder right through it.Quite the light show both in the night and this afternoon.
(((Shirley and Tubby))) holding you both close to my heart. I know how hard it is to follow Tubby's wishes so I am glad he changed his mind and let you tell his family. When my DH was in renal failure he was adaamant that I not tell his family. Finally I just emailed 1 of his DNephews about the whole situation and Pete was ready to step in when I needed him to pass on any info. My DH is very much a loner, does not much like people coming to visit, especially his family.So glad the 2 of you have some support now.

Spent yesterday at the Hospital with my parents. My Dad went in for a routine 40 min procedure to change out his pacemaker as the batteries were low. The surgeon decided to put in a different one with a defibrillator so they needed to run another wire. Took about 4 hrs and they needed to keep him overnight. He did great it was just a very long day especially for my Mom. I will be leaving soon hopefully they will release him this morning and we can bring him home.
Hope you all have a good day. I don't have as much time to post as I did but I want you all to know that I am following along and keep you all in my prayers.

Betty I do Google searches for things I want, you just have to know what to search for which can be a challange fopr me some times.

Laura, I do hope when they said your dad would be in for 40 minutes that someone came out and told you not to fret!!! Now Dad will be as good as new..I assume you are not far from them, that always helps doesn't it.

Last night during supper Melanie got a text saying a friend of their's dad had just passed away..so Mel (Melanie) decided to go walking with her friend to clear to cobwebs..once Greg/Kyle/Noah left I decided it was time for bed..no soon shut all the lights off and got into bed was there a banging on the door , yikes, someone was calling out and I couldn't make out who it was...

Here Melanie and Janice had walked for an hour, needed washroom facilities badly, said the noise from the pond waiting for me to open the door didn't help their situation. We chatted for a bit and I could hear Mel as they walked away telling her about my gardens so I called out and said when flowers are in bloom drop in for tea..ok so I said a 'beer' more to their liking..lol

Checked the grounds before I left this morning, have some daf's coming out and perhaps the iris's are starting to show growth..won't be long..

Kris I get that same anxiety when driving in snow/ice, that's a horrible feeling. If I could I'd come down there and drive for you, rain doesn't bother me in the least. Now I won't drive through severe thunderstorms, I'll sit under an overpass so I don't get hail damage, and I don't even want to talk about tornadoes!

LOL Dianne, that's the way our thunder is every time we get thunder! We get a lot of close strikes where the light from the bolt and the thunder happens at the same time. I used to jump and run but not anymore, funny how we get used to certain things.

Last night Kyle came over and put an app on my ipad..called brainwave, only had 1 free option so this morning I downloaded for a whopping $1.99 the one with 25 features..have to have headset or ear plus in both ears for it to work..you can hear sounds in one ear but the other you have no knowledge of..can pick for stress, energizer,stress reduction, deep relaxation, meditationlucid dreaming and sleep,vivid dreams just tomention a few..let's see if it works, if it does I'll be sure to give Kyle a few extra hugs..

Told him as well that mom is having operation on Monday and if something went wrong I'd have to switch the telephones, told me to send it to any of the other 3 offices so being very accommodating..am sure nothing will happen but best be organized..

Drats want to be home..just called to talk to the painting group and they are having a party..boo hoo without me...Dianne dropped in to say she was bringing big vats of craft items next Monday, Ann dropped in with a 'hi', Cathy is there raking more gardens..Danie is there making jewelry and the other girls are painting..you could hear the laughter..want to go home..lol

It was anice 52 degrees here this morning, so I went and dug a few small holes int he raised bed for a few angel trumpets, but I told hubby at lunch, it was very hard for me to dig left handed, so I will need his help this week-end.
I love the other Betty's greenhouse. Some day I will have one. Just need to save a lot of pennies, or hit the jackpot on the lotto!

I know LindaKay, keep buying Lotto Max in hopes of winning..so much I could do..did call, said it was in and no note on file saying Dr. needed to see me so guess that's good news..she wanted to know if I needed an appointment, told her I'd wait until the doppler comes in and go from there..

Betty, do you have high blood pressure, or are you eating a lot of salty items. That can make you have head aches too! If you have high blood pressure, maybe you need to talk to the Dr, about changing your meds?

Stress caused yrs of migraine type headaches for me I hardly have any anymore but they quit making my meds so can't help with that. BEV

Odd you know, that I've seen the doctor and he didn't check out my blood pressure, you would have thought that was the most common culprit..oh well, keep plugging till I can't plug again!

Betty a lot of pharmacies here in the states have places in their store where you can check your blood pressure yourself. Do you have anything like that/ Here they are at CVS, Walgreen, Rite-Aid, Brooks, etc. If you don't have them there, you may want to check the next time you are in Buffalo!!!!

We have them at Wal mart also. Near the pharmacy.

Not sure I'd know if it were high or not though..think they have one at the drug store at the corner..want to send something out in the mail tomorrow morning, in same drug store so will try my luck..

There should be a chart on the machine, that tells you what category your in.

I'll have to call Ann, she's coming over this evening for an hour, perhaps with the difficulties Mike has been having at some point she might have gotten one..

Betty here in the states we can't even walk into a doctor office without having our blood pressure checked, you walk in and they get your weight and blood pressure whether they need it or not. They don't do that there?

Nope, I bet I can count on my fingers how many times I've had my blood pressure checked...mostly in the hospital.

WOW! That is their favorite complaint here, blood pressure and cholesterol.

Just dot home, bath time then a res before Ann gets here..

Omg and triple omg, ALL gardens are done!!
