I'm way way way jealous!!!!!
LOL Jaye, not old age, if so I'm in some serious serious trouble.
§ Sweet Interruptions § 215
I want to ride too!
oh i like trains too. Hello everyone, hope everyone has a marveloussssss week end..lol.
Be well, safe, happiness.
we did the Thomas the engine tour in utah when we were there. IT was fun ! and lots of things for the kids to do.
we got t shirts that said " i had a day out with thomas and thomas with me " something like that.
yep i m getting pretty burnt out. LOL yes i think there is a domestic cleaning epidemic LOLL
i hear yoiu on the shrinking customers. My boss has the monopoly on the Mosanic home condo's and they are elderly, so they need us. :) and we like them too. THey have the money and they love my boss sandy . !! we do things no other housecleaning would do. Or maybe we do ?
we do beds, some laundry , some ironing
many of the customers have catheters ,so it can get messy in the pottys. I don't mind. i have kids ! LOL we do grocery shopping on our way to their house. I bring eggs to them and they love it . I call then and ask if they need anything picked up on my way over.
so i like it . but i m burning out. but honestly i think its just burn out on doing it myself :( sure wish TIm was here full time.... but then again LOLLL he does snore pretty loud ! and i like a quiet bed . Lucy like it too but she snores also. LOL
well ladies i have a glass of wine and i m not afraid to use it !! slurp....
crissy what are you going to do this weekend ? anything fun ?
That Thomas thingy, must be part of American culture. I didn't grew up here, and having no kids, had never experience Thomas.
If Sue had fun, then I know you'll have fun Sis!
You are more than a house cleaner for those retirees. I am sure, they appreciate your genuine warmth, and not treat them as though they don't exist!!
Sue, why won't your boss put an ad? I'm sure she'll find some help.
Kel's cousin and his wife did a few retirees condos' at the beach on certain days. They enjoy the perks of being friends too. But according to them, the drawback is when their customers' time on earth are up.
The newer retirees are more frugal they said. Must be the Madoff Fear.
They also do a few retirees' homes and brought back home a lot of garden stuffs that these customers want to get rid of. Like beautiful trellises and humongous planters.
At one time, they thought of moving to MB, but since the economy went south, they're glad they hadn't and just tolerated the gas price for now.
LK, what did you buy?? Hope you are having a stupendous time!!
Night sistahs. See you all in the morning!!
He
wellllllllllll.... she pays cash..... other than that i don't know why ? LOL on the Madoff Syndrome. Jaye your to funny girl !
Yes i will agree. The time they are to be called Upon to God . will be sad :( but they will be pain free. So i do find joy in there relief to be in Gods hands and pain free.
ok on my second glass of wine..
nighty night
Jaye how are you sleeping ? better i hope ?
Judy you have been quiet , how are things with you ?
Thanks for asking Sue.
I've accepted that I do have chronic sleeping problems. Until I take that sleeping disorder test, maybe I'll be set right!! LOLOL.. but I can't see taking a chunk out of non existent money when Benadryl, sometimes wine or Ambien will do. When these don't work, I'll be calling family in Singapore (12 hours diff) and sleep in the next day. Thank God there are no bosses waiting to fire me!!!
Hey Judy, what's up?
Good night sistahs!! I've learnt that when I started to yawn.. I got to go hit the bed.
Hey sistahs - guess now that I'm online everyone's gone to sleep?!?! That's what happens when you're "Mountain time" LOL
wow..... so many house keepers, and I can't find one here that I trust. I'm looking for someone, but can't find an individual that has a business. I'd rather not use one of those big companies. I want to be a name, not an account number.
"house keeper" you mean someone to house sit while you're away? I'm not sure I could let someone spend time at my house. I know people who do it all the time, but some of them have a relative stay at their house.
Good morning Sistahs.
Sorry Susan, we'll be in bed while you and Pegi are just getting to unwind!! Would be easier if we shared the same time.
Patti, what kind of housekeeper you're looking for? Look for one that's bonded, unless she comes highly recommended.
I'll be gone today. Gonna pick up the new sewing machine. Won't be able to get detailed lessons on how to use it, as we live too far to travel weekly!
Good thing about us women, we read instructions!!!
Coffee and croissants to start your morning off.. or just relax and enjoy the beginning of your weekend!!
Morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee and croissants Jaye! Oh, your going to go and pick up your new baby today! Have fun learning!
I got a bunch of pretty fabrics, even though I can't use my fingers to sew with yet. :(, and I picked up a few birdhouse/birdfeeders for the swap coming up. I was looking for a good pair of pinking shears, but no one had any. So I will probably go online and look for some. Any suggestions?
LK, try this. Ginghers doesn't disappoint.
http://www.gingher.com/product/7-5-pinking-shears-nickel-plate-finish/99/
I can't join the birdfeeders' swap, since I have to limit my swaps this year :(( Hope things will get better but it looks like our govt. had already set the pace for what our economy will be like tomorrow!
Thanks Jaye, I went to look at them, but they don't have a price. I will google them, and see what comes up.
Naw Sue, it's supposed to be 90* here today, our normal temp is 71* so it's insane, I see some severe thunderstorms are headed your way, think you're just a bit north of them, I hope. I'm going to plant some Peony's somewhere, don't have a clue where though. Guess I'll figure something out, they just need to be put in the ground and taken out of the pots! I had a couple glasses of wine with you last night!
Cleaning houses is one job I don't think I could do, I hate cleaning house LOL
Susan, a house keeper is usually a cleaner. A House Sitter is someone who stays in your house while you're away on vacation or whatever. When I was a kid me, mom, and dad would go on vacations to Nashville, TN (we lived in California) for weeks at a time and had someone from the church stay at the house. One time we asked this lady named Mary to stay, she said she would but couldn't start for 3 days after we left because she was on vacation, that was fine with us but my mom forgot a chicken she cooked in the microwave, poor gal had to clean that stinky mess up and she was not supposed to clean anything, she was a house sitter not a house keeper.
Oh Crissy, I can imagine that smell when she walked into the house! Whew!!!
oh phewwwwww stinky chicken! She'd have to clean out the smell in order to live in the house phewwwwwwww!!
Crissy - thanks for the explanation - I'd never heard of a house keeper - (housekeeper omg - it suddenly dawned on me what you were saying LOL blush)
good morning sistah's
wow a temp of 90 !
i think we may be hot today too ?
everyone sing with me... 99 astilbe on the wall.... 99 astilbe's....... take one down . pass it around ... 98 astilbe on the wall.....
can you tell i have my head in astilbe land ? LOL
well my chickens have a new house. R&R did a fine job .
I agree on the trust of a cleaning person... its hard to find one. The people i clean for and they trust my boss so much. they give her keys to their homes. :)
i know if sandy ( my boss ) didn't clean my house for me once a month ... i couldn't find anyone else to replace her. :( sad
well i m off and running gals
good day to you all
sue
My daughter works on a cleaning crew where she lives. Small town where everyone knows everyone. The majority of their clients aren't home when they go to clean. They clean for people that know their parents, and they don't want to get 'told on' for doing something bad. lol
Hey Sue, do you ship your plants? I would love a few of those astilbe's please?
Morning everyone. Coffee is ready. Crisp bacon, scrambled eggs and toast.
went to thomas the train yesterday. it was 90 degrees and no shade
Crissy, was it as bad as rotten eggs??
Patti, my ex' sister used to work for one.. I think it was MerryMaid.
She didn't like the pay, and started one with her best friend.
Her DH's reputation as mayor, helped her secure her clients. And she made more money than him!
Most of their clients live in the nearest town.. an 'oil' town.
I admire house cleaners. Like Crissy, I don't think anyone would want to hire me. Too detail, and I get tired easily.. worse is not being able to bend much!!
Sue, you're truly a queen at multitasking!!! Hope this year your business venture takes off!!
Savannah.. Austin.. one of you try to fix breakfast for your Mama please.
Sistah Kathy, you're not supposed to be in the hot sun!!! Remember how bad you were last year, with that heat stroke???
Please try to remember to grab a hat when you do go out in the heat!!
LK, I got my Sapphire. I'm in love with it, the functions are much better than the Emerald!! Front threading, pop up bobbin casing cover.. no screws!! Imagine, a wider throat area, and dual lights!! Plus, plus, sensor tension!!!
Just in time for me to do the pot holders.
Wonderful Jaye. You will have sew much fun now!!!!
Hiya Sistahs - hope everyone's having a good day! It's the warmest today it's been all season - about 53F (13c). Here's hoping winter's back is broken and we have increasingly good weather.
I'm a little sleepy - went to church this am, and I did the Children's Story so was down on the step with them - difficult to get up so our pastor lent his arm - strong man!!
Thanks Barb, I know I will. Kel had it out on the table immediately!! He can't believe that I haven't sewn anything today. Think he wants to sew on it, but I rather do it without him standing over my shoulder.
I didn't have to pay the $500 difference!! That's the good part!!! :D
Susan, when I go to the altar, Kel will be right behind me, to help get up.
At least you have a strong armed pastor!
I had no idea he had that kind of strength, to take my entire weight when I stood up. I didn't hold back, because I needed to be steadied. There's no railing for me to grab a-hold of.
Morning everyone!
Coffee is ready. How about some bicuits with sausage this morning.
Thanks LK!! Just packed some for Kel so he could snack on them. Would you believe, we had that last night with Amazing Race?? I'll just have plain buttered biscuits this morning.
That's my weakness btw, hot biscuits.
Did you decide on what pinking shears to get?
LK, I don't go over to Betty's threads often, keep me updated on Tubby's pyhsical state will you?
Shirley is a very strong woman.
Stacey finally appeared on FB and had updated her blog. Jonathan is so adorable dressed as an Easter bunny.
House is quiet now, so I'll be able to focus on the new baby.
Prayers said for all, including Doris from the other side
Morning Everyone!!!!
(((((((((((Cris)))))))))))))))
Morning!!! Hope this week will be one smooth week at work for you!
gooood moouurrning
Jaye, Tubby has been requested to be taken off all dialasis, as well as chemo. He is just too tired, and tired of being sick! Shirley has told all his Dr.'s. They have all told her, that if they need anything just call! So we have all been sending many prayers her way! By the way his Birthday is on the 18th. I am going to send a card, to help cheer him up.
Morning Kathy! How you doing today? Will you please post pictures of your froggies on the swap thread? We would love to see what you got!
Morning Crissy! How is your morning going so far?
Off to facebook, to find Stacey and new pictures of Johnathon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOKIIE! WE LOVES YA.
yes lk, i sure will. today ok
?
Happy Birthday Cookie!!! Wow.. you're only 25!!
Missing you sistah.. and share that cake please!
Thank you so much for that important info on Tubby, LK.
Jaye, I went to Staceys facebook page. Looks like she moved. it said she is in Ohio now!
Wonder if she's close to Sue or Cookie?
Don't know, maybe by Janice? Her address here still says Michigan.
I just went and looked again, it just say's Toledo, Ohio.

Well hello Sistahs!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUNSHINE!!! Hope you have a great day.
So sweet of you to think of me me Sue. Big smile to you.
Thank you for asking.
It is with a heavy sigh to report, we had a bit of a scare. My nerves have been shot for a little while...
But with this entire family banding together in support, prayers have been answered and all has returned to normal craziness around here...With everything out in the open, gave my girl probably the first good sleep in a very long time. Now, I believe all the issues are taken care. Now all we have to do is get graduated, lol.
OH my gosh, the weather has been incredible. So I have been very busy outside.
Haven't done anything to the greenhouse yet...Raked most of the winter debris.
See this mess?
Morning Judy. That looks like my backyard! You can come this way, when you get yours done? LOL!
