Sounds great to me! We have a small family owned and run cheese factory not too far from us - too close actually. I personally think cheese should have its own personal food group. The 6 years my DH was gone to TO from M - F I lived on cheese. Do you have cheese curd where you are?

Okay, I'm up and there's not much I can start. I'm sitting here in the dark reading the post and drinking my coffee.

You guys have a great time at the round up. I think that would be sooo.... much fun to meet people and swap plants. I envy you. I know Tubby would like it, but only if this group would be there. I couldn't get him to go otherwise. Just a minute, have to let some of the dogs back in, someone must be laying in front of the doggy door.

LindaKay have a good time at the car show. Hope the fingers are healing.

Mary the epsom salts helps to heal also. It helps with the soreness and I'm sure he figures the antibiotics will take care of the infection. It's like using warm salt water to gargle with when you had a sore throat or tooth removed. I grew up on alot of those ole home remedies. We didn't have a doctor close by and so Mom made use them. We did have a doc. when I was young and he did it all, doctor, vet, dentist. I laugh about it now. I never had that cuc. salad, but would love the receipe whenever you get around to it.

Tubby informed me last night that he wouldn't go to dialysis today. Dang! I know he is afraid of having the same thing happen again. The pain in the neck that he has when one of those episodes is going on must be awful, as he has a higher then normal pain tolerence. He only makes a comment when something is really, really bad. Oh well, I can't dwell on that. It's his life and whatever makes him happy. I'm hoping he'll change his mind this AM, but that not likely to happen.

Kris did you guys hear anything from the ins. company? Yes you are talented, I believe it's only human nature to envy someone else's work. It's amazing what we are all capable of doing given time and the right tools.

Well everyone I've made our selection from the Stoke's catalog. I'll will call them today and order it. It'll be a surprise for you all and us. Anticipation!! Thank you again.

Yes Betty, the Ipad has a spelling thing of it's own. Sometimes it places a word it thinks your trying to spell, and if you don't catch it, it stays. Sometimes I have to go back and re-type a word 3 times, before it stays how I want it.

hello there, tell spring is here, everyone wants to get pretty, wants to travel and lots a gardening going on.

Shirley, sorry to hear Tubby has made the choice of not going for chemo today..no one knows his body more than he, must be overwhelming for him to be continually going for treatments..if he's not up to it then an afternoon of looking outside trying to see some birdies just might perk him up!

Wouldn't you know, got to work this morning, no sooner did I get to work Paul called to say work until 11 and then transfer calls to your house and leave...Suzanne is in Toronto, LeeAnn is home with a sick little boy, Cindy is leaving at 11 so he thought he'd treat me..said no can do, leaving for Buffalo at 3:00 ..he said I could leave from my house but that's 45 minute extra drive right pass the office here so I said I was a big girl, could stay in the office all by myself..said he'd make it up to me..you never know what that means with Paul.

I think Laura those girls drank all the wine and ate all the crackers, didn't see any left for us...oooh camping again..you have a great weekend..

Yes, at 3:00pm will leave..ahhh wouldn't it be better if you left now he says??? yep would but not sure if I could reach Darlene..told me to make the call..takes Darlene a little over 1 hr. to get here which means 1:30 but 1:30 is far better than 3:00 right..we'll be past the Friday aft. city traffic..oh happy days..just before he left though I asked if it was an April Fools joke, started to laugh, said no, just enjoy yourself!

Hello to all,trip to Buffalo was enjoyable..sunshine all the way..went out for a nice supper and then off shopping..so far bought more for everyone else than myself..something for Suzanne's granddaughter, solar mushrooms for mom,went to Joann's but not much in the pattern design I need but I'm luckier when I go to the Joann's up near the border!
Christmas tree store has a patio bar patio set, 4 chairs, table, umbrella and umbrella stand...emailed Suzanne to see if she's still looking for one, if so I'll pick it up for her..


Going to call it a night..long day tomorrow ..looking forward to the craft show..as long as I keep eating Tylenol migraine I'm doing ok

Betty sorry to hear you guys didn't sleep well. You will be exhausted tonight and will sleep like a log. Do have a great time. Will look forward to hearing all about it.

Well, Tubby is still in bed. He didn't have a good day yesterday. I ended up putting him in bed at 4:30 as he was just so uncomfortable. He was in alot of pain and wouldn't let me give him anything. He is still is bed. We talked for a little bit about how hard it is to hang on. I worry but then that is only natural. I dread the day he says no more, but I try not to think about it. I didn't sleep well, but I did finish the pillows and I made a bag to hang my grocery bags into so I can reuse them. It is made out of the rooster print material that the curtains are made of. It's not my best work but will do and I don't think anyone will look at it that closely. I did bring up the potting stuff for Tubby yesterday and filled a tray with the mix, but he was to miserable to do anything. I'm hoping today will be better, will have to wait and see.

Mary thanks for the recipe and I couldn't get the pictures to enlarge either. From what I could see they are gorgeous. You should be proud. If you lived in Wis. you'd know what cheese curds are. They basically are what if cut off when they are making other stuff like bricks. The people go crazy over them. They get a fair price for it, but people love them cuz you can just pop them in your mouth.

The sun is shining here. It is to get up in the 60's today and 70 tomorrow. I plan on playing outside for awhile today. Will see if Tubby wants to go out and watch. I just hate leaving him in the house by himself. The oldest daughter in Omaha is her birthday today so will call after he gets up and wish her a happy one. Tubby and his two girls all have birthdays this month so will see if they can come out and have one party during the day. They are always late and don't know when to go home sometimes. But now that he goes to bed so early it may help. It does help if they don't get to drinking too much. You know kids. I hear him stir, but I don't think he's feeling much better by the groans that I hear.

Crissy how was that night out? Bet you looked like a star!

Good Morning everyone! Betty have fun at the craft show today!

Yes yes Chevy gal I am.

I haven't said anything about my vacation in case Dave got a job and we wouldn't be able to go. We're closer to it so I think I can say that we're going to Galveston and since Dave has this huge garden going his Aunt is going to come over and house sit for the few days we're gone.

I love my hair!! She did a darker brown color with some caramel highlights on top, it looks really good!

It's sunny and going to be 75* today so I'm going to spend the day outside since it was 40* and raining all last week!

Shirley I'm sorry he's in so much pain! Hope today's better after he gets his Pepsi going in him.

We didn't go out last night. I got home, we did some gardening until it got dark, came in and had pizza and beer for dinner, watched some TV, played some Angry Birds on my cell phone, and went to bed at 10. We're saving our penny's for our vacation, then the week that we get back I have to work our Spring conference. pptttthhhhh.

((((Shirley & Tubby))))) I hope you are feeling better today Tubby, I still think a good pedicure will help...puts a smile on my face with a nice foot rub. Well, I have so much to do, and have spent the last 3 days sleeping mostly. To tell you how bad I feel....I have asked "the child" to come with me and help today. You know I have to be in a situation to ask her for help as she gets on my last string of patience....so much like her father and my MIL! LOL

Crissy, I would love to see your hair. Bet it looks really nice. Thinking of getting some "hi-lites" in mine for a bit of sunshine look. But that means I would have to sit in one spot...and I would tip over and fall asleep! lol

My wonderful doctor actually told me to get a new purse! Can you believe a prescription to shop for a new bag.....lol I do hate shopping for bags though....takes forever. He said my shoulder can handle a "bowling bag" hanging from it now....and STOP carrying your HUGE camera in there! lol

Ok, off and trying to stay on track. Taking the boy for a haircut first. He has let his hair grow out.....and wants a "Keith Urban or Ashton Kutcher" shaggy type. I might like it!

yes Betty - found all the invoices, but Finance didn't tell me all of which ones were paid and which not. Three vendors, and therefore three Finance clerks - one never got back to me..... Still, the Director knew that I tried, and she (and the person she sent the spreadsheet to) was very happy with the result.

anyway, the Exec Director is away until Friday (recruitment celebrations, and setup in Edmonton, so she's there), and the Director is in Calgary for most of the week, but she will also go to Edmonton for one of the days. It will be quiet in Calgary I hope, so I can get some other new invoices sent out to be paid...... Lots to do besides that, too lol

Tubby - listen to Nurse Shirley - she knows you well, and knows best what's good for you. Quit being so stubborn, and eat your veggies LOL (((((((((Tubby & Shirley)))))))

It's a total white-out here - got 20cm of the white stuff, and it soooo looked like Spring yesterday! We have a Winter Storm warning, and so far we have 6 inches (what's that in cm??? I dunno, but it's what my DH says.....),
Have a bit of running errands to do, but not much cuz I really don't want to be out and about much in this weather - very windy too.

Was in Galveston 20 years ago..most of everything was closed due to oil spill; did the entire coast down to Mexican border, crossed over for the day..back up and spent a few days in south padre island..loved that coast..so much destruction though because of oil spill.

Debbie, I kept looking for you the entire time we were there..didn't find a lot but did buy a large piece of garden art..rusted iron..a spray of butterflies..nice

Then off to hobby Lobby just down from the galleria mall on Walden..also made note of several other things to go see my next visit..one being a large flea market..Darlene was tired so we decided to come back to hotel,have a rest then go to Kohl's and then I'll take her to see Niagara falls on the USA side.

Kris, darts that is not good about the tires, why can't you exchange them! Love the photo..adorable! Kris, you refer a lot to mud in your yard, do you live in a wet area?

Well it sounds like you've had a busy day Betty. I love flea markets. I hope and pray that you sleep good tonight. I just came in from outside. I have the north side and west side of flower bed cleaned off. I still have to pick the rest of it up, but needed a break and come in and check on Tubby. It would be nicer if the wind wasn't blowing so hard. The dogs have been out with me this afternoon. The one dug up a plant, I wanted to crown her. I replanted and will definately put up a fence around the area. It's the only way to keep them out. They have a huge area they could lay in, but for what ever reason they like my flowers.

I did get my lumber exchanged and picked up the other stuff I needed. I'll work on that this evening after I put Tubby to bed. I'll go see if I can talk the guy into eating something.

Kris why can't you exchange the other tires. I don't understand as they can send them back and reorder.I would love to come and help. The photo was great and Tubby had a good chuckle.

Susan I can't say I'm jealous of that snow, hopefully it won't last long. The rubarb is up about 2" and the peonies are up about an inch.

Betty was it you who said that you had peonies that never bloomed? You might need to take a potato fork and loosen the ground around them about an inch outside of them. Then gently lift them and tap some dirt in below. They may be buried to deep. It's an easy thing to do and fix. I use a potato fork as the tines are spread apart and so less likely to hit the root. Let me know if it helps.

Well I better get back to work and shut the doors outside. I work somemore after I get home from work in the morning.

Hello all, very busy day today, yes I could return the tires but they fit another wagon I have that needed new tires so I am keeping them. I will keep looking for the other tires as I really like having the cart to pull behind my wagon.
The kids are here and we are watching movies so I will just say goodnight to all!!

I used a rubber glove for my thumb... and planted 6 marigolds, 4 verbena and 6 gazania's... I've killed gazania's before so hope they last this time. They are drought tolerant. Maybe LK has heard of them?

I've had fever all day believe it's from my infected thumb... But I will be better soon. I can rest tomorrow... (But I won't because it's supposed to be Sunny) .... Shirley ... any home remedies? I could have chicken soup for breakfast tomorrow... I've heard that really works....

Mary the pictures are great. The reason the othe pictures didn't enlarge is that they were as large as the screen for the Iphone screen. This is much better and thanks for doing that for us. I love the dresses and they all look like they were gonna have fun. I always think it's a very nice compliment when kids want to come to your house. It says that they respect and enjoy the warm feeling they get when they are there and no one is judging them. They can relax and be them. You are a good host my dear.

Well you could try chicken soup for breakfast, but I think I'd just eat something normal LOL. I think the saying is feed and cold starve a fever or starve a cold and feed a fever. The antibiotics should be working by now, I guess I would some Tylenol to help reduce the fever. Not asprin just Tylenol. How about eggs & bacon or biscuits & gravy with farm fresh eggs? Make sure you wear gloves while working in that dirt and wash them good, even that thumb when you come in. Okay enough from this nutty Mom.

I'll get Tubby up in a bit and then get ready for work. The oldest girl and family are coming from Omaha tomorrow. I'll pick up some hamburgers and hopefully the wind won't be going 90 MPH. and we can do them on the grill. I'm hoping that this will help brighten his day.

Hope you slept well Betty and do have a safe trip back home. I have about 35 or so peonies to transplant when I get that far.
