Wow, those are nice size plants! So far they look OK!
Morning everyone! Just popping in for a few before Todd gets up. I have fresh coffee made! See you all Sunday sometime!

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

You girls need to put the church friend and Doug in a "God box", then let him take care of that. I have one and when there is something that I have no control over, I put them/it in the box, because God has control over everything!

Watch out for those "April Fool's" jokes today! ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs!

Enjoy the show, LK! Bring back a muscle car!!!

Synda, I'm certain they'll revive, as Stokes sent you some good stock there.

Patti, you are so right. We tend to overthink and want to be in control of situations. As humans, we can only offer advice that can be flawed.
But leaving everything to Him, is the best advice.

The weather is still cold.. no way I can enjoy anything outdoors today.
Kinda lethargic.. but I think it's from 'overthinking' too!!! Yep, need to let these worries go. They don't do nothing for me but add more wrinkles to my already shrinking forehead!!

Raise My Baby Swap 4 is now taking names!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Morning y'all and Happy Friday!!!

LOL Jaye I've been saying, "I can't do what I used to could" for years now, and my body thinks I'm 80. I get my hair colored today to get the gray gone! I can't wait, it's so icky feeling and 5" roots aren't very attractive either.

It's been way too cold this week and I haven't been outside at all because of it. ppttthhh tomorrow's supposed to be very nice and Sunday as well, but Monday's going to be icky.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy gurl..... don't you wish we are all now somewhere on a sunny tropical island.. laid out on the beach.. no worries at all?
But with our luck, we'll be hearing alarm bells and shouts of "Tsunami!! Tsunami!!'
I'll take this temporary cold :(

You're still young Crissy!! My grays started in my 20s! Inherited that from grandma, so you could say I have a very close relationship with my Aunt Clair-ol!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,
Another sunny California day ^_^. Been working out in back yard. Going to be painting a mural of a garden on the side of the garage that faces the yard. Then putting down pavers to make a small patio for us to sit on. Getting 8 bales of straw and making some garden beds.

Doug is doing much better. Now that it is warming up, his attitude is changing. I've been making him go out back and spend 10 minutes in the sun. Told him he needs it for his bones.

I have to go to my mom's and get my electric sissors. I can't even trim up a pattern to pin down OUCH :( Just hope I am able to get this dress made. Luckily I have all of this month.

Ok here's a little funny for ya. Have a BLESSED weekend. I am leaving sometime tomorrow and won't be back until late afternoon Sunday.

THREE WOMEN, TWO YOUNGER, AND ONE SENIOR CITIZEN, WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA.

SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND. THE YOUNG WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE
BEEP STOPPED.

THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY. 'THAT WAS MY PAGER,' SHE SAID. I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM.

A FEW MINUTES LATER, A PHONE RANG. THE SECOND YOUNG WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR.

WHEN SHE FINISHED, SHE EXPLAINED, 'THAT WAS MY MOBILE PHONE. I HAVE A MICROCHIP IN MY HAND.'

THE OLDER WOMAN FELT VERY LOW -TECH. NOT TO BE OUT DONE, SHE DECIDED SHE HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE. SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM.

SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER REAR END.

THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED AT HER.

THE OLDER WOMAN FINALLY SAID ..... “WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT ..... I'M GETTING A FAX!!”

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL CINDY!!! That's great!!

Doug probably suffers from the same condition that Dave suffers from, it's called SAD and they have to have UV light or they get very very grumpy and depressed. I told Dave this past winter that I'm going to get him a UV light to sit under during the winter so I don't have to deal with his attitude.

I started going gray when I turned 30, as did my dad. My mom still isn't very gray and my dad has white hair. I figure that I'll be just like him and by the time I'm 45 I'll be almost completely gray.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy!!!! ROFL!!
Well than Crissy's right. Doug suffers from SAD. Think in some ways most of us do when we don't get enough sunlight.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my brother-in-law is being paroled from wv. to al. to be with us, and get a fresh start

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good of you to take him in Sis.
And he's gonna be enjoying that good cooking of yours!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

he's going to need someone to put some meat on his bones. it might as well be me

Good night sistahs.. God bless all!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Cindy that joke is just hilarious !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I was gonna pee my pants ~~~~~
So happy the sunshine has helped Doug......buy him a membership to a Tanning Salon, the UV will help on those ugly dreary days !

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Crit - I love that idea - "the God box" ...... hmmmm lol

Twyla - good to see you again hon!!

Jaye - glad to hear you had a Dr who listened to you - maybe now you'll get better ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs!

Susan, I don't like the way I'm feeling all the time, and Patti is right.. I have to put it in God's Box!

Brunch is on! Chicken sandwiches on pita bread... OJ and some chocolate chip cookies!! :D
Hope you all had a good night's sleep. I sure did, took some Benadryl to help relieve skin allergy. Took a shower with a new body product and got a reaction from it.
Learn a lesson to stick to NOTHING heavily perfumed!

Staying around the house to do some yard work since it's a beautiful cool day today. The grounds have dried up some. Unless Kel decides to get a bite in town, then most probably he will include a trip or two at thrift stores to look for books.

Hope you all have a great day, and if you're travelling, be safe.

Hugs to all.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Mroning Ladies,

LOL yesterday when Igot home from all my running around, Doug was gone. Weeeeelll about 2 hours later he came home. DRUNK off his butt, LOL. He had gone to his friends bar, one tequila led to another and another along with Tacate beer chasers. Well luckily he has good friends. Someone brought him home and someone else took care of his motorcycle for him last night. Took him this morning to get it and the guys that were at the bar yesterday were in there this morning and they laughed at Doug, lol. I chewed his behind out last night, told him I would not put up with that. After what I went thru with Francis I will NOT put up with the drinking and driving.

I met up with an friend yesterday, and I am going to her house today and staying with her until sometime tomorrow. We are going out with a bunch of other gals friends for a lady's night out. This out to be interesting, lol. My friend is very wild, lol. Hope we don't get into any trouble ^_^
Brought some garden tools dow so I can plant a few flowers out front. Oh man all of the Daffodil, Tulips and Hyacinths are in bloom at my mom's. And of course the beds need weeds pulled :( By the time my hand is healed won't be able to find the flowers

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, Doug is lucky that his friends made sure he got home safe.
I don't blame you one bit for setting his behind straight on drinking and driving.
Hope you had fun with the girls.

Maid M, Debbie asked of you on another site.

Plants are ready to leave the GH. But Easter's not here yet and we are still supposed to face some cold mid-week. Again that Phil is wrong. We won't have spring, but will go straight into summer.

Good night sistahs.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Afternoon everyone! I am back from Austin, and so tired. I think it is time for a nap. We had a great time, and lots of yummy food in Austin! We had seafood from Pappadeaux's several ti mes. Hubby had to have his oysters, and I had shrimp. I love thier coconut shrimp, so big, and so good.
Cindy, going out drinking is one thing, but he needs to be safe also. Glad to hear he had his buddies bring him home. How is your girls night put going?

LK, Papadeaux's food is good!!! Had some in Houston and I was amazed at the quality of food plus quantity too!
Next time I'll try the oysters.

Back from church and nothing's new there. We behave the same way pre sermon and made LOTS of joyful noise to the Lord!!
Think the old pastor was peeved. Someone sitting behind him coughed, that pastor turned around and gave a grave look. Poor lady moved to the last row :(

Susan, hope your church friend treats you well today.

Have a few bulbs to plant.. cya'll later!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

70s here and am grateful for no rains. Grounds need to dry out more.

Hope nobody got sick over that mixed weather you're having, Sue.
Nothing like a nice organized area to work in.
Next time you see that terrific duo, say hi to them for me please..

Good night sistahs.. and those that are missing.. we wish you well too..
Hugs!!

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Please send rain our way for a while. We are in a drought!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - my church friend didn't even speak to me today.

I slipped on the snow yesterday (wet, heavy snow that, when you put your foot down on it becomes slippery) and went down on my left knee. It's been swollen and very painful so went to Clinic today - I've sprained my knee!
I'm on anti-inflammatory meds and using crutches. Will be 1 to 2 weeks to heal - not bad, considering!

My auntie Jean passed away 1:30 Sat am. I guess I assumed too early that she passed as soon as they stopped doing anything more for her. She passed away in her sleep, so that's a blessing. She was in a coma-state and didn't react to anything or know anyone. Her funeral is on Thursday.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending my condolences to you and your family Susan. I'm so sorry for your loss...Warm hugs to you......

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

We are having nice warm weather too, but really windy.
Well my girls night out was a blast. Had way too much fun and sure paid for it the next day. I couldn't wait to get home so I could lay down and stay there, lol. Doug told me that Harlee moped and whine the whole time I was gone. She slept in my chair all day and night. I couldn't hardly get in the front door she was so excited to see me. She was like glue all night long. She practically slept on my head. I guess she loves me ^_^

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Right on Cindy!!!! That is the nicest friend to have!

Susan hope your knee heals fast!! I refuse to walk when I have to use crutches, horrible, yes, I know. I'm so sorry for your loss sweetie. So what's going on with this attitude your getting from your friend?

Severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, back to severe thunderstorms, ACK!! I think it's past me now but look out everyone to the East!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Ouch Susan, that is not fun at all. Make sure you put ice packs on it.
Cindy, glad you had a good time. Sounds like Harlee loves you a bunch!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Gosh.. where did my posting went?? Off to that cyber grave I guess!

Hello sistahs.
Susan, my condolence. Will your Mum be there for Aunt Jean's funeral?
Pehaps you shall leave your church friend in God's Box too!!!

Patti, I told my church sisters about God Box, and they thought it's a very good idea. There are some things we just cannot be in control of, and its' best to leave them in His box. Not that they will be out of mind, but releasing all to Him is the best way.
When you can imagine a box, putting your frets in it, shut it tight..and say.. "Lord, they are yours now"... it gives you some sort of peace.

Amen Crissy!!
That must be a good feeling for you Cindy. Harlee misses her Mama!!

Crissy, be careful please...

Hi there Barb. Sorry that you're still having to trudge in snow :(

LK, you should get an envelope pretty soon. I found that block btw. It was with Kel's magazines. How it got in between those art mags. I've no clue!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

My mom is getting a ride to the town for Auntie Jean's funeral.

sitting here at my desk for lunch ain't much fun, but people are helping by getting my lunch, etc. They're sweet!

if i had a God box ... well i would need a really really big box ! LOL
hello good to see you all
wow what a storm we have today !
thunder and ligthening
pouring rain since 8 am
our little creek is a runneth a muck !! and i mean running up and over our little bridge. hope the truck makes it out to get the kids ?
our chickens need webbed feet poor things.
its a flooding mess here folks
hope you all are staying dry
susan T&P for you and family
my cousin with ALS died and his funeral was sat.
anyway's
keep safe folks !

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Goodness Sue. Do you have a boat?? Seriously praying that you manage to cross that bridge safely.
I'm sure the kids will try to have some fun wading in the flood waters.
Poor chickens. Can they roost in some higher grounds?

Susan, a pair of crutches is a good ad for help! Anyway, you're making your colleagues feel good for being able to help you.
Take it easy on those painkillers, sistah.

Newsflash: Jaye has been cleaning her bowels since 1.00 p.m. Immediately after a meal at a Chinese restaurant!!
Culprit: Mongolian hot sauce

I should lose another 5 pounds, eh?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i need me some of that hot sauce

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL! Oh Jaye, sorry to hear the hot sauce is doing that to you. Sure it wasn't the meat you had?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - I haven't had any painkillers since this am, cuz I'm feeling "clearer" as of 2 hrs ago!
I'm feeling awfully tired though, and looking forward to the end of the day....

hmm i may need a gallon of that stuff LOL
so sorry your not feeling well. :( that is not fun at all
yes Jaye it looked like the river jordon rushing through our creek. Yikes.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, I had meatless spring rolls, rice noodles, egg foo yong and chicken sticks. Dipped the spring rolls and chicken sticks in the hot sauce.
Chicken tasted like chicken.. I know it's the hot oil!!!
Kel's stomach is foolproof. That guy had some too and he also had hot wings last night sprinkled with Tabasco sauce!!
But I need the cleansing... sometimes I'd go weeks without a BM!!!

Susan, if you could do without them, good for you. We sure don't want you to be "high" all the time!!! Bob might think he's living in a strange house!!!

Your poor garden, Sue!! First the snow, now waters?

Errr.. Sis Kathy.. why do you need the hot sauce?? Don't you be thinking it will be a good tonic for your plants!
