Money is still oh so tight, and the worry over my folks is always there. Now dad is starting to talk about my mom learning to do things on her own in case he isn't here...not sure what he's not telling us. My mom always says she's doing "pretty good" in a very upbeat tone, but when I had a private conversation with my Dad on Wednesday, he said she told him that she was pretty sure she'd make it to their party on April 17th, but she didn't think she'd be here long after that. So, I asked if she wasn't telling me how she really was, and he said that sometimes she's just so very, very tired and weak. It's just not easy, knowing that the end is coming.........

here is my day today . its loooong so bare with me

was so lost ! took him an hr to get me in the right direction so i got him a huge elephant ear for a thank you . wow was i lost ?
and to top it all off if i stayed in the direction in the beggining i would have ended up at my destination LOL oh hecky doodle de doo"
i had a busy day
rabbit clinic at 9 am
got two new bunnies mini rex a choclate brown and a broken blue ? and cages
ran home to drop them off
ran back to find the nursery in marysville and well you know the story LOL
found an excellent deal on a HLWS 5 ' tall for under 30.00 !! wow. got a bunch of elephant ears and my original order LOL
truck was full !
ran home dumped off plants
ran to pick up son's sleep over buddy and got a pizza
made it home
unpacked and got kids dinner
got them to run around outside
they are watching a movie at the moment as i take a brake and a drink
whew i m tired

I just heard from my mom about my auntie Jean - she's not responding to treatment, etc (she's on morphine for the pain), so they're going to take her off life support - she's only 83, but cancer is hard on the elderly.

Susan I'm so sorry. God will bless her with eternal peace now. I'm sending prayers for you and your family.

My Dad will be 93 on 4/16, and my Mom will be 91 on 7/31 (if she's still with us).

My brother had a good point. He said maybe my Mom is saying that because the oncologist originally said she'd have 4-6 months and that was in November. So she's doing the math and thinking the oncologist knows how it is. We haven't been back to see her, since she decided against the chemo. I'm just thankful for every minute I have with both of them.

My DD, Lisa and DGD, Jordyn are coming down today to take them chicken and noodles with mashed taters. It's to be a surprise for them. Mom is giving Lisa a necklace that she's worn for as long as we can remember as a keepsake. Dad gave my son, Mark his class ring from 1937 the other day. He made me tear up when he said (Mark that is). I've worn the ring everyday since he gave it to me. I'm thinking of turning it in to my wedding ring, as I can't think of anyone's marriage I'd rather emulate. Isn't that sweet? With 72 years together, they must have been and continue to do SOMETHING right!!!

Susan, I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt, but I'm sure you'll have wonderful memories of her to help you through the sadness.

Not much happening here. Got fabric for Taylor's dress. Stopped at Joann's on my way home from PT Friday. OMG!!! the store was filled with women stocking up on fleece with it being 50% yup can see why. When I got in the line to have my fabric cut I was # 96 and they were only on 70 :( But I wasn't giving up because I had found exactly what I wanted. The Joann's here did not have much to choose from. Then I get home and go over my receipt cuz I thought I had paid alot for the sale that was going on. Yup sure enough they did not give me my 40% off on calico print. So yesterday I went to the Joann's here and they refunded me. YAY!!! I did not want to have to drive 23 miles in the storm to get back $20 that I was over charged. So I am getting ready to cut it out. Hopfully I will be able to. I am not to squeeze, pinch, lift, or pull with my right hand.

It was a difficult decision for my aunt's family to let her go, but there was nothing left for her, and she wouldn't be getting better. As she wasn't responding, and now off life support, I suppose by now that she's gone to be with the Lord.
We were singing Precious Lord today, and I started crying during it and couldn't sing. Beforehand Margaret asked if I could sing it and I said "yes" but could not...... I kept breaking down during the song. My auntie Jean was a dear soul, and I'm sure that God is very glad to have her with him and the heavenly family. She will be with her husband (Harold) now, as well as children that went before. I think of her every time I hear the song "Bonnie Jean" in the musical "Brigadoon" (my all-time favourite movie).
Hardest part is, my mom was the oldest of the girls in her family, and now she's lost 3 sisters and her two brothers. Now only the youngest girl is left, and my mom. My mom will be 92 May 2nd.

Synda, it was on our news also, the we have to pay to cross over to any country, either Mexivo or Canada. Well, we have been paying tolls at our bridge here forever.
Well, yesterday and this morning, I was feeling pretty good, but all I have donebtoday is sleep and cough my head off! So I am taking more meds, and going back to the sofa.

I broke fever last night. It was scary. The Tylenol with Codeine helped ease the pain that I had all over my body.
Didn't take any shots before bed, and my sugar reading this morning was at 150. Normally it would be 300. My pancreas is hardly producing insulin the last check up, so I'll ask the doctor Tuesday why the fluke! Could also be that I hardly ate last night!
Wanted to make that trip to the post office to mail out 3 packages, but the weather is so nasty today, and I'm not going to risk being ill again.
It's cold, raining and bleak!

You asked of the sermon. He took a text out of Deut. and practically 'bashed' the congregation, especially targeting the deacons.
I have the energy today to type, so here goes.. since you asked!
We have been having 2 retired pastors from other churches in our midst. A good compliment to our preacher.
On Thursday night, a men's bible study class, there were only 2 men that showed up for class... the teacher (one of the retirees) and a student.
This teacher was very upset and stood in front of the church Sunday and
asked why the 6 deacons didn't show up. PLUS, he also said that his observations of the congregation before service displeased him.
We were gossiping (not true), telling jokes and not disrespecting the House of Lord.
Preacher changed his planned sermons to a tongue lashing!!

I was at that time too sick to say anything. But I will come Sunday.
Many of us enjoy the fellowship there. Like the others, we are so happy to see our fellow brethren that we can't contain our exuberance. Shouldn't the love of Christ manifest into our behaviour? To love each other? We weren't telling jokes, except for me when asked of Kel.. and that preacher wasn't at the morning class when I said that!! AND no one in my group told him anything!!
Now when it comes to reverence and who wants to go to a somber church every Sunday, the only thing lacking is a coffin.

Susan, again, my sympathies. Aunt Jean is now singing and praising the Lord, back to her youth. That's how I envision Heaven.
