TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, we love our church. But if politics prevailed over biblical teachings, we might have to look for another church.
But then, everywhere you go, there will be some sort of dissension.

Sue is right, God loves us to be happy.

Good night sistahs. Doctor's appt. tomorrow. Bloodwork after that at another hospital. So.. I'll see you in the afternoon.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" doesn't just mean singing - it's laughter and joy, and dancing.
David shook a few people up back then, and he was one of God's chosen ones LOL

I love my church too, but right now I'm not feeling too Christian towards one of the members! Someone who's been a dear friend of mine decided to take a tiny strip off me, and said I treated him badly. At Movie Night (he's one of the organizers but hasn't been doing much lately - just comes to make popcorn) he wasn't there until almost time, and when he came in I said "oh good Bob's here. We need some chairs put up". Well, I spoke to him the next day when I was at the church (Saturday) and I won't tell you what he said I treated him like, cuz it isn't polite, but it's a word I don't like to hear in polite company!! I apologized and started to cry, and he ignored my apology. And, although we were to work together on the Children's Story Sunday, he wouldn't return my calls when I asked him how he wanted me to help. In fact, I heard him pick up and hang up. I left a msg and he didn't return it. Then, on Sunday when I was at the Prayer Table and announced to the congregation what I'd heard about my Auntie Jean being taken off life support and was crying, he didn't even say "sorry to hear...." Usually he's the first one to give me a hug, but he hardly said a word to me, except when he Had to as part of the service.
Argh - men and their black moods, sometimes!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear that Susan! ((((((HUGS)))))

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I agree Sue!

LOL I second that Susan!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Jaye I hope your day goes good!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

wheres jax? me needs sum bailys

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, if you didn't care about that friend, you won't be hurt huh? It's always the ones we love that inflict unnecessary pain.
Hope he realizes what he did and apologize for his callousness.

Thanks for the well wishes sisahs.

Was @ one doctor's office this a.m. Wasn't my usual doctor as he was called out, and one of the associatea took over. Maybe it's a blessing as she's a listener. Jotted down all that I had to say with Kel filling in when necessary. Did all the physical check and from what she told me, the migraines that I thought I had weren't migraines she said. They might be stress related headaches.
As for the pain in both legs, she wanted me to increase the Lyrica dosage to 3 times a day, instead of 2.
Humalog insulin, (sigh) I have to figure a 'happy' number depending on what I'm about to eat. I had been doing that and the only diet change I had was no red meat :(
When it comes to lantus (smile), the long acting or night insulin, she suggested reducing it back to 10 and see from there. Was taking 60, then 50, then 40. Was NOT doing Lantus 7 months, until two months ago.
There were some other 'stuffs' brought up, but too tired to go through them now.
Then went to a hospital across town for bloodwork. This is crazy. Since the hospital bought out their practice, all bloodwork is now done across town!!
After this, we drove across state line to get some papers from Kel's doctor.

Okay.. this has been my morning. I'm tired.
Sis Kathy's fault. She made me laugh over the phone!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

One good news.
I lost 24 pounds. That's from not taking Lantus that long!! I didn't tell the doctor I did that, as my other doctor didn't believe that Lantus is the culprit to my weight gain.
So hush sistahs. I'm still alive...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Well, now you need to find the stress culprit, and lessen in some if not get rid of it completely! I know that won't be easy, but is needed to get rid of your headaches. Hope the blood work comes back with good news!
Sis Kathy, I have a fresh bottle of Bailey's here. Looks like Jax's is hiding with hers!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, I can't get rid of that culprit completely, just like you can't kill a MIL plant!!
Guess I need to spend more time shopping online when I feel that headache coming.. but then... I don't have much to spend with!! Lololol.
Hmmm.... perhaps I'll just have to find another alternate outlet. Soon it will be real spring and I'll be working in the garden. That will make me too tired to think of anything else.

Or.. I can pick up the phone and bother my sistahs!!! Lolol!!

I had to cover my beds again!!! Yep... too stubborn to wait till after Easter and it dipped to the 40s and frost for two mornings!! Tomorrow supposed to be frost again :(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, you have my number, and you know you can call anytime!
Sorry to hear your so cold yet! It has been about 60 when we wake in the morning! It is 81 now! Not too bad, kind cloudy, and not too hot.
Gotta run and make more hummer food! They are hungry little hummers!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

well it's cold too and I don't mean the temperture. Doug got mad at me yesterday morning and has not spoken or looked at me since. Oh for pete's sake grow up already ^_^

I guess I am not meant to have another man permentantly in my life again. I'm thinking of getting my own apt a couple of blocks from here. That way I can check on Doug and still have Harlee. We've had 2 beautiful warm days and all he has done is lay on the couch and watch tv. I've been doing yard work, laundry and cooking dinner things I'm NOT suppose to do. I am making plans to go out of town this weekend, maybe it will wake him up.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, sorry your having problems! Hope you can work them out one way or the other!
Please don't over do it on that hand!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you so much LK. I know you're one that I can call anytime!

Cindy, how long had Doug been a bachelor? He might need a bit more time to adjust to the idea that you're both are now sharing the same space 24/7. Ideas of living together can look so rosy, but in practicality, it takes a lot of adjustments, especially attitudes and of course, the magic word "compromise". You know the drill!
Go on and take a break from him. When you come home, he might have dinner waiting ;)

Wishing you both could work it out too.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

Jaye , glad you are feeling better, it seems like it just keeps getting us(me) down down. That wisteria is awesome i have tried seeds several times never did a thing.

If my mother would of made it past Jan 28th she would of been 90 sat the 27th.(march) but..

Phylills sorry about the job. Something better will come along.

Take care everyone. many blessings thinking of you ALL.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

((((((((((Twyla))))))))))) Where have you been??? Sorry that you're still facing health issues. Looking at the time, you must not be able to get a good night's sleep.
God certainly has set you with so many challenges.
You must have wonderful memories of your mum that you can share with us. Don't stay away too long please.

Good morning sistahs. Got up to fix a fresh pot of coffee and offering my sistahs hot fresh biscuits and some home made blueberry jam.
Saw some new growth on my blueberry bush yesterday and looking forward to those sweet morsels come summer.
It's supposed to frost this morning, but it's warm and clear. Go figure!! But rain's expected in the afternoon!!

LK, hope you've totally recovered. Still don't be out there thinking you're superwoman!

Sue, don't be working too hard!! You got kids that need you SANE!

Crissy, anything new toys for your new car? Like a dvd player? Have fun at work :D

Wishing all my sistahs a good day today and I'll see you all later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Thanks for the cofee and bicuits Jaye! Yum!
Twyla, nice to see you poking your head in! How are you doing?
Fingers are soing OK, still pretty sore, wishing I could get to the garden to get some plants in the ground. And this darn crud is kicking my butt! Still taking naps to let my body rest. It is getting better, but still get tiresd easy. I started taking mucinex DM a few days ago, and that is really helping with all this mucus.
Were supposed to go to Austin this week-end for a car show, so hopefully I will get better.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Your weather is perfect for a car show. It's raining now and we're supposed to face more frosty mornings!
Watch when summer comes, we will all be wishing for some cool weather!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Just caught our weather forecast. 6-12 inches of snow on Friday....I'm ready to go hide in a hole.....

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

We have had snow all afternoon.............YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thumbnail by synda
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lord, my sistahs want to play in SNOWLESS grounds.
But we'll take snow instead of a Tsunami, or a nuclear reactor meltdown, right sistahs?

All kidding aside, I hope it's for the last time, Barb, Synda.. If you both are getting snow, does that mean Cookie and Sue will too?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

....we are getting rain. Send me ark back, please!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Marion Florida has been getting some bad weather since I woke up this morning. STAY SAFE!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Please stay dry Marion! Lots of storms all over Florida.

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ourhummingbirdnest-com
Look at these precious baby hummers in California! So precious! Momma layed 2 eggs, and they added an abandoned one from another nest. So far she is taking care of all of them.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning!!
Indeed a good day today... MaidM's here ^_^ How have you been, lady? How's your Mama? Is she still having a voracious appetite?

It's cold and wet here. But I won't need the ark and it's not here btw! Think Sis Kathy might have it parked in her yard!
Looking out the window, I see clematis in bloom.. think it's Niobe. Drats.. too wet for me to be leaving the house to take pics :D

Got sewing projects to start on. I know my buddy requested certain colors, but I feel like she needs to be surprised with much happier prints! Doing pot holders, and Synda's been very helpful with her hints.

Missing some sistahs here, but snow can dampen one's moods.

Barb, I truly hope that's the last snowfall for you there.

Have an easy day today, sistahs.

Coffee is still waiting for you along with buttered croissants.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes, there are some really bad storms over the state. I was suppose to go down to see Mom yesterday but refused to leave on a 7 hour drive with the mess.

Mom, according the the latest report from Hospice, has not changed. In fact, the cough they thought was associated with the mass has disappeared since the last round of antibiotics. Hospice nurse told Sue this could be a long drawn out ordeal--they think now she will just slowly go "down hill". What they don't realize is Mom is tough!!! She gives new meaning to the word tough. I don't mean that in a bad way--just she doesn't give up easily.

Having said that, I am thinking now I will not be spending as much time down there as I have in the past. I will go down and visit for a few days every few weeks but no more months at a time. My home and yard has really suffered not to mention Kim is really wanting to have me home for a change. I have been home a total of 7 weeks since last August. I know that sounds selfish but I have learned I can not continue doing the driving and then the extra 100 miles daily into the nursing home. I am bad, I know.

Sun just peaked from behind a cloud--maybe, just maybe................

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You're NOT bad... Maid M. In actual reality, there's nothing else you can do for your mom, but to give her emotional support. That can be done over the phone. All her physical needs are well taken care of by the professional staff. Then Sue's there to check up on her too.
You have a very wise mum, and I am sure she won't want you to live half a life on acct. of her.
There's already one sick family member, don't make it two. You need to take back your life asap before stress leads you the doctors. Doing that doesn't mean you're being bad...

Thanks LK. I wonder what the hummer use for her nest. It's so colorful.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Than ks Jaye, My sister tends to differ with me but I know now I need to step back.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hate to say this.. but we are not as young as Crissy, Maid M. Our bodies and mind can only do so much.
It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, including your sister, but you know your own limits.

Stepped outside, and the ground's still soaked. Took a pic of the Niobe.
My favorite clematis. Besides being larger than most clematii, the color is stunning. First of its' kind to bloom.

Think I'll have another cup of coffee. Managed to cut out the paper patterns for the pot holders. Sigh.. dragging my behind today.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

WOW!! Lucky you having a clematis--not just a clematis but one that blooms. I have had absolutely no luck with them so far. Let's face it all my plants are thriving on benign neglect.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

MaidM, I neglect all my plants!! But then, I don't have a shady garden like you do.
Clematis loves the sun, though they prefer their feet cool.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Blossoms on a 7 year old apple tree.
We waited 2 years for this tree to do something. Kel decided to uproot it, but didn't have the heart to throw it away. Then he just plunked it down in an old pot, and it thrived in that pot for a year. The following year, he planted it in a raised bed.
It's been flowering since then, but no apples.
The nursery where we bought it from said that it's self pollinating.
Don't think so... still the blooms are worth letting the tree lives.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

ROFLOL oh does that remind me of things Ross used to do. He would get as far as the gate into the woods and drop the items. Most rooted and nature did it's own landscaping much better than we were doing. Go Kel!! Love the pictures of the apple blossoms.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol.. and nature does the best colorworks too!!! For years I was trying to organize beds by colors.. and I've now taken a lesson from nature when all the different hues and colors just mesh together, effortlessly.

This is a close up of the apple blossoms buds before fully unfurling into white masses. Beautiful pink buds.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Very nice.

Well back to doing something I hate but must be done---scrubbing the tub and shower. YUck.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, you can only do so much, you need to take care fo yourself before anyone else!
Jaye, love the blooms! So pretty!
Todd and I had a great lunch at Applebee's today! I had the little french dip sliders, with a bowl of onion soup! So good! Oh, and a perfect margarita! Now I am nice and relaxed and ready for a nap.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

well, another family member will be moving in soon. now this house isnt big enough anymore. guess its time to move again

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Todd should take you out more often for Margaritas, LK!!

Hey Sis, have you thought of buying a hotel? Like this you can accomodate more family members..........and some sistahs!! Lol!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Who's moving in Sis?

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Todd should take us all out for Margaritas........LOL
