Petunia
Spring growth
Nice Celeste! We have christmas cactus and calanchoe blooming in the house plus geraniums in the basement which I overwintered.
Yes peach colored cactus in bloom here too, also fuchisa and an amaryills about to pop:)
DW planted some supposedly hardy fuschia outside last year. I didn't say anything and it remains to be seen if they pop up this year. I love fuschia anyway. One of my aunts in California had one that climbed up her house like an ivy. Was it every beautiful.

Pretty!
I like fuchsia because it attracts the hummers....the one in the basement is not blooming yet....Pixie, great plants....love the orange ones.....
Pixie, is the pink begonia from a bulb? I have some Picotee bulbs which I expect to start inside this week to put outside in about a month.
DH bought the pink one....but the orange-yellow one was started as a bulb.
nice Celeste!!! you know I am drooling over the begonias!!!
Very pretty, Jen.....love the color of the tulips.....I have many up, but no buds yet.
Enjoying the all the photos, thanks for sharing!
Never get tired of tulip photos, especially at this time of year!
Great color, great name!
Very nice, Jen!
Jen, I would vote for that Donald. Great color and now on my list. Patti
But you need a Mickey or Goofy nearby.
Tinkerbell?
love your ducky Jen!!!
Cool!
Spring growth...
let me see now... I got one!
Jap Red Maple Bonsai, about 12 yrs old, thinned out the roots and transplanted 2x
about 11 yrs old and 2½ feet high, my tallest bonsai...
(little tiny green things signaling spring growth, but at 11yrs it ain't going out until I'm relatively sure it isn't going to get some overnight snow on those nice new leaves... ☺)
Nice! How many do you have?
Eight, 4 of them went out this weekend which need the sun to trigger the change, the others are safe with me, (until it gets a bit warmer at night..)
lol!
How old is the oldest?
About 27yrs, (Jezz how time flies..), it's my greatest, personal, bonsai achievement! (lol!)
- Just took it out for the season this evening when it started to rain, have to trim it some, it's an old Juniper, very dramatic.. I don't even remember how many times I transplanted it, maybe 4 times...
I'll take a pic tomorrow.. ☺
Wow, that is really cool. Like having a child!
Yes, come to think of it..
(boy, am I glad I don't have a 27yr old kid! lol!!)
I always say I am going to try one, but never do. Don't think I have the patience.
The pines are cool, try them! they grow slow and don't require that much maintenance!
- it's the more delicate flowering ones that will probably give you trouble, they do require special attention and constant monitoring during the season. - they are a pain! lol! in our climate up here in the Northeast, but they do great in southern latitudes.
How often do you water if no rain?
Depends if there is a watering ban. We do use a more efficient drip line.
During the summer, every day unless they have a moss covering, (which the chickadees love to remove..), during the winter twice a month. - it's easy, just stay away from the unruly ones like the redwoods and the tropicals.
I'm starting another thread.
